  1. You think he's not going to exercise his $58.5M option one minute into Day 1 of the 2026 off-season after sitting out for a year?
  2. That was my only complaint about the first 3 episodes. We've already seen enough of Cassian being a prisoner and/or an indentured servant. An episode and a half waiting for him to inevitably outwit those feckless morons was a bit much. I understand wanting to show how new and disorganized the rebellion is, but making them Curly, Moe, and Larry was an interesting choice that didn't add any drama, interesting characters, or humor.
  3. Hoodie cares more about how he's viewed and his legacy a whole lot more than he lets on. This just screams, "Fuck it, I lost that battle, let's get weird." End of career crisis.
  4. LeBron James is now 42-53 in playoff games against the Western Conference. Compared to 142-54 against the East. A little unfair since most of the former have come past his physical prime or against the very best that the West had to offer in the Finals. But it's almost a 100 game sample size at this point.
  5. Holy shit, dude. You are seriously reaching here. No need to assign some greater purpose to that coach's anonymous quotes. He wasn't taking a stand against bullies/grifters and the propaganda machine everywhere. He didn't feel compelled to get the truth out there (that would have been abundantly clear by his draft free fall anyway). If he's been an NFL assistant coach for any length of time, he's coached domestic abusers, horrible/absent fathers, and violent criminals. Shadeur is also not the first rich, arrogant, over-hyped entitled child to frustrate him. He got a chance to take a shot at an entitled, unprofessional interviewee whose family he doesn't like, and he took it...by being petty and also unprofessional. It is what it is.
  6. I'm not trying to watch a documentary about tariffs and trade wars right now.
  7. Note to self: acquire skills that would make me desirable for Canadian citizenship.
  8. I'd counter with, as powerful as the money cult has always been, they've never had this level of direct, unfettered access to the administration and the courts. What's a little recession that they're able to time perfectly and absorb more wealth from failed small businesses owners and all those losers in middle America?
  9. Apparently, it's very important that they max out the attractiveness of the actresses playing teenage girls for...reasons.
  10. Not applicable
  11. If they win though, he may drink a beer. Everyone knows that NBA Champions only drink wine in season.
  12. Nothing super egregious has stood out from the refs, but LeBron having 27 points on 5 made field goals is gross.
  13. He never had a chance.
  14. I wish seeing people slowly realizing, way too late, that maybe Donald Trump isn't a business genius was more satisfying. It...is not.
  15. That's fair. A team up 3-0 trying to close out the series against a team without its best player...it's almost impossible to avoid taking their foot off the gas a little. If Memphis holds on to win Game 3, OKC probably comes out with more urgency in Game 4, and the outcome may have been less in doubt.
  16. "We know who the criminals are, trust us." Yep, that sentiment has always yielded nothing but positive results and thriving societies throughout world history.
  17. A message board full of anonymous dudes whose opinions no one anywhere cares about is slightly different that you bombing a job interview and that company then ridiculing you by name in Forbes. Just bad business practices. All that said, Sanders falling from the seemingly consensus #2 QB in the draft to the #2 QB...taken by the Browns...is empirically hilarious, so I'm not losing any sleep over it. Can't remember anything like it.
  18. OKC was going to win that series regardless, but, had Ja not gotten hurt, we've very likely got a 2-2 series. They're still the class of the conference, but I don't think they breeze through these next two rounds like I did a week ago
  19. Oh, I totally get it. I'm not trying to stick up for Shadeur. If he was indeed as awful as it seems he was, then every team very apparently drew their own conclusion. The assistant coach dude made it public because he wanted to get his two cents in about how he feels about the Sanders' family.
  20. I'm not sure that there's a happier human being than Aaron Gordon getting to play next to Jokic with absolutely zero responsibilities other than dunking and corner threes.
  21. Fair enough.
  22. Because, as bad as Houston is, they're still a playoff roster. Golden State, without Butler, is not. Houston knew they had to win this one and didn't come particularly close.
  23. Cuz Houston kinda sucks too?
