  1. With respect to Wisconsin, the NYTimes daily podcast mentioned that there is already an ongoing discussion amongst Republicans to impeach the new D Supreme Court Justice (assuming she wins today). If the R candidate wins the special Wisconsin Senate election today, the Rs will have the necessary two-thirds vote to impeach. Its unbelievable that this would be possible in a state that slightly leans D but that’s the power of gerrymandering.
  2. And on top of it, the CFO took notes on a Criminal Fucking Conspiracy. Trump needed Stringer Bell to supervise these fools.
  3. I would definitely watch some new HP stuff on HBOMax but I’m not excited about a pure reboot of the books. I thought the movies were well done and there is so much other backstory in that world which could be covered.
  4. I’m always amazed at how incompetent Trump is and everyone in his orbit. He, his attorney/fixer and CFO are knowingly crafting a criminal scheme and decide to reimburse Cohen for legal services under a retainer agreement. After crafting this scheme, they don’t think it’s important to enter into an actual retainer agreement. What a bunch of fucking morons! At least prepare the paper trail to document your lies. This is the worst fucking timeline.
  5. Understandably, the Edwards case keeps coming up as it appears to be the only close proxy to TFG’s current indictment. I think it’s important to note a couple of facts related to that trial: 1. The donors who provided the hush money to Edward’s campaign weren’t available to testify why they provided the money. One donor was excused due to being 101 years old at the trial while the other donor had passed away. 2. The prosecution’s main witness has serious credibility issues as he used some of the donations for his own personal purposes essentially embezzling some of the hush money. As mentioned earlier, hopefully the prosecution has some documents to back up intent.
  6. Can NYC bring back stop and frisk for anyone wearing a MAGA hat tomorrow?
  7. The accounting wasn’t accurate. If it benefited his campaign, it should be shown on his disclosures as a campaign contribution either from the Trump Org or Michael Cohen.
  8. It feels like the Astros have been playing from behind the entire season so far.
  9. If Blanco is your long man, why are we pulling him after 1? Especially a quick 1 inning.
  10. From the 300 section, he was obviously off the bag.
  11. The original ban grandfathered weapons already owned. Given the proliferation of these guns since the 2004 expiration, I don’t think a ban with grandfathering would have significant impact while all of the other potential mitigations would likely significantly reduce gun-related violence. Just my opinion.
  12. Define ban in your mind? Does it require current owners to turn in their existing ARs? Personally, I’m for safe storage and red flag laws, licensing and registration for gun ownership and capacity limits. However, I generally stop short of a full ban especially a ban that converts current law-abiding citizens into criminals by virtue of their prior purchase of legally acquired assets.
  13. Doesn’t 99% of this come down to one simple thing: Does the entire jury believe Michael Cohen? I’m assuming that Cohen is going to testify to all of those points. Trump knew about the payment, his intent, etc.
  14. Bryan Abreu seems like he’s pretty good.
  15. Absolutely this! After Uvalde, I called and emailed all of my representatives and explained that I will vote for and support candidates who work to provide real solutions to this problem. Except I didn’t call Cruz’s office because Fuck Ted Cruz. It’s basically forgotten by this point but we did get enhanced background checks and reviews for gun purchasers under 21 after Uvalde. I’m certain the thousands of calls that Cornyn’s office received help cement his support to do something.
  16. That’s not true. As has been pointed out in this thread multiple times, other countries who had mass shooting events immediately changed their gun laws to make it harder or impossible to obtain the weapons at issue. Many other countries don’t have this issue. Only one side of the aisle in the US appears willing and able to try and implement actual solutions to this. The other side is busy talking about side doors, mental healthcare which they won’t fund and appointing judges who believe every mentally ill person in this country should be entitled to own multiple ARs. #OnesideSucks
  17. I enjoyed his work in Hustle as well. The dude can act when he wants.
  18. You wanted Houston - well you got Houston! Lets win the whole fucking thing AGAIN!
  19. Bullpen? Framber doesn’t need the bullpen. He’s throwing an 80 pitch complete game shutout on Thursday.
  20. Will you vote for the people who actually want to change those gun laws?
