  1. I’m sure this was discussed previously but can someone explain why he wasn’t tried as Co-Conspirator #1 in the Michael Cohen case? He’s no-longer President and accordingly the DOJ policy on indicting a sitting President doesn’t apply. That always seemed like a slam-dunk to me.
  2. With respect to catcher, somebody has to bat at the 8/9 spot in the order. Agree that bringing Brantley was a risk - however, it’s a one year deal and I’m hopeful that the team knows more about his ability to come back and produce. Really love the Javier extension and hiring of Brown. I’m in awe of this roster. The team has lost Cole, Verlander, Grienke, Springer and the prospects traded to get those pitchers and is still the odds-on favorite to win it all.
  3. Front Office Grades should be based on putting the team in a position to compete for the title. Just because most of that work happened in prior years shouldn’t impact the grade. The Astros improved at 1B and are still the favorite to win the AL. Grade: A
  4. This is setting the stage for the State to take over elections in Harris County. We will likely end up with one polling station at Lochinvar with DPS monitoring the front gate.
  5. I want to see a Texas OL look like this Philadelphia OL on third and short.
  6. Excited to see the new GM already getting things done. Extend Valdez and Tucker and continue dominating.
  7. It don’t make a shit. College Station vs Austin. The Aggies will be reminded that UT owns their asses in every sport and location except for meat judging.
  8. Tax inversions out of the US have largely been stopped through a change in the tax law in 2004 and the resulting Treasury regulations issued through 2016.
  9. It’s been a few years but I enjoyed my trip to St. Louis - Go up the arch and see the Lewis and Clark museum, eat some Italian on the Hill and think about all of the baseball players that are from that neighborhood and watch the Astros crush the Cardinals. That’s a good trip.

Why do you believe that you and/or politicians should have any say in this matter? Personally, this should be a discussion between a child, parents and doctors only.
  11. Lunch at Glenda’s Creole Kitchen is excellent. I’ve never had a bad meal at Don’s Seafood.
  12. How many times have you taken him to the airport?
  13. Hogs do some minor damage to the fences on my place. Nothing major but they will push up the bottom of the fence to get through. We will spend a few days every year putting in hog panels to cover up the holes. I understand some ranches will install some fencing into the ground to prevent this.
  14. Payton’s a good coach but he’s not worth a first round pick.
  15. I think the criminal negligence issue will come into play by having live ammo on the set. If you’re producing a movie involving guns, then live ammo should never be allowed anywhere near the set.
  16. Yep - The original Scooby series and the pre-Scrappy versions were must see TV on Saturday morning in the late 70s/early 80s. I introduced both of my kids to Scooby and the gang when they were young and they loved the shows as well. I finally got around to watching the first 2 episodes of Velma and it’s not terrible. However, it often felt as if they were trying too hard with respect to some of the jokes. I certainly didn’t think this show would merit 4 pages of discussion.
  17. That’s the only thing that makes sense but a flex system would definitely be an improvement.
