  1. Winning erases shit optics pretty quick. “Doing the right thing” according to social media buys you about 10 minutes of good feels until the loses start piling up.
  2. If I was the Bears and got that offer, I wouldn’t be able to accept fast enough. If they like CW they could take him #1 and still have two top 10 (could trade down with one). Or if they don’t love CW, they could trade #1 down with the Pats, Giants, Vikings, or Broncos too. They have an opportunity to reload their organization with talent, and is Fields better or much better than Cousins, Mayfield, Russell Wilson, Mac Jones, Garoppolo, or anyone else they could sign off the street? I’d sign one of them, take #8 from the Falcons, and laugh. Probably why Kiper is full of shit.
  3. They activated a curse when they let Dom the security meathead up on the sideline to taunt and scuffle with opposing players, and the team, coaches, and fans doubled down on their Dom love. Goodbye, dirtbags! At least the city saved $1m on Vaseline and Crisco needed to grease up all the light poles.
  4. Most mock drafts have Worthy ranked behind Mitchell, Sweat, Murphy, and Sanders as NFL prospects, and I don’t disagree with it. They’ll all likely be gone before the Texans and Cowboys second picks unfortunately.
  5. Learn what lesson, not to listen to the media, social media, or do gooders? I am a casual, but my recollection of this board in March was 25% actually wanting to keep Terry, 50% didn’t but said you can’t not bring him back due to how we finished, and 25% said hell no. Similar split opinions on if Beard should’ve been fired vs. suspended. We “had to” fire Beard who was free to walk into Ole Miss with zero shit given by media about it, and we get stuck with Terry. Lose lose because we “did the right thing.”
  6. She probably identifies as one of those hairless Siamese cats.
  7. Muffin needs a serious ass whooping.
  8. Aside from casuals on both coasts not knowing Houston has a professional football team, I would’ve thought the CJ/Demeco story playing against either MVP Lamar Jackson or defending champ KC/Mahomes/Taylor Swift would be more interesting and draw more eyes than GB@SF, TB/PHL@Detroit, and the possibility of PIT@BAL, yet the Texans landed the worst of the 4 time slots.
  9. I went back and looked at playoff game times to confirm being shit on by NFL. The Texans have made the playoffs 7 times in 22 seasons, hosted the wildcard game each time, and won 5 (71.4%, surprisingly good). They are 0-4 in divisional round games. 100% of wildcard games and 8 of 12 total playoff games (67%) have been in the Saturday afternoon slot. They have never been the Sunday primetime game. (Bold=shitty Saturday afternoon game) 2011 - wildcard vs. CIN 2011 - divisional @ BAL (Sunday @ 12pm) 2012 - wildcard vs. CIN 2012 - divisional @ NE (Sunday @ 3:30) 2015 - wildcard vs. KC 2016 - wildcard vs. OAK 2016 - divisional @ NE (Saturday @ 7:15) 2018 - wildcard vs. IND 2019 - wildcard vs. BUF 2019 - divisional @ KC (Sunday @ 3:00) 2023 - wildcard vs. CLE 2023 - divisional @ BAL/KC
  10. Bills and Eagles have a weaker SOS than Browns and same record (11-6), so if either lose this weekend, they would pick in front of Cleveland. So it’s just a matter of which two teams pick before and after the Browns pick and doesn’t change its position regardless of who wins those games. Detroit had 12 wins, so if they lose tonight they are behind Cleveland’s pick, which will improve to #22.
  11. Movin’ on up! Pick from Browns is now at #23. Thank you, Packers. Can go to #22 if Rams win tonight.
  12. This is some bullshit. The blue is what made the Oilers uniforms great. Giving us some battle red bullshit with h-town blue shark tooth stripes is like eating Hill Country Fare beef fajitas.
  13. They need to let Green go off for a couple 40 point games and then trade him.
  14. @Jshep34 or whoever supposedly had insider info, can you confirm that other report that H-town blue won’t be the main color of the new jerseys and logo? That info should be spread amongst the mouth breathing NFL masses of Houston to raise hell in case they can make changes before they release a vomit disaster.
  15. Pancakes trying to mooch on Texans the only way he know how, kissing up to super olds billionaires. He’s got nowhere else to go after his precious Titans and Seaskunk Adams are toast.
  16. I don’t believe all of these players came from Cleveland’s picks, we only have one 2024 1st rounder from Cleveland, and Will Anderson also cost us our own #33 in 2023 and our 2024 1st rounder. The more (but not exactly) accurate sum of the trade is Houston gave up Watson and #33 in 2023 for Kenyon Green, Will Anderson, and John Metchie. Shitty trade if not for shitbag Watson being injured or suspended the whole time.
  17. Draft order for playoff teams gets grouped by which weekend you get eliminated, then record among those losers. Beating Cleveland will improve the first round pick by two or three spots, if playoff advancement wasn’t enough motivation to punk the Browns.
  18. That wasn’t scheduled by the league. It was a flex based on playoff impact, not because the NFL wanted the Texans to get a prime time game when they could give a third one to the Packers or 9th one to the Cowboys. I think you know what I meant though, you surly asshole.
  19. Fucking NFL schedulers. No prime time games this season. Saturday afternoon slot for like the 5th consecutive Texans playoff game.
  20. Dammit This article is a double kick in the nuts. 1. Tank could physically be ready to play now that his fracture healed, except you only get 8 call-ups from IR and Houston has already used all 8. 2. H-town blue won’t be the new primary color, and may only be featured in one or two of Four uniform schemes.
  21. 43% completions to WR tells some of the story.
  22. /end thread, you can lay off the baptists temporarily on this issue. Liquor stores did the maths and they sell as much or nearly as much 6 days a week as they would 7, and they cut their operating expenses by being closed on Sundays. Liquor stores support this blue law. 3 tier distribution is also a kick in the nuts. Direct sales from alcohol manufacturers (breweries, vineyards, distilleries) would likely mean more profit for them and lower prices to end consumers by eliminating the middle man/men, but the distributors lobby whacks down any attempt to change the status quo and cut off their gravy train.
  23. Sounds like Jonathan Brooks is going to have a kick ass Sugar Bowl!
  24. I highly doubt any current Texas player or coach is motivated by what happened in a game 14 years ago. Maybe Sam Ehlinger if he was still on the team. But wow if a team won its conference and beat three other P5 conference champs in the same season!
