  1. ^Yeah. Phase I-III was a hell of a build up with great actors and big name character. There could have been audience fatigue, but abruptly going to the B-team of characters was going to hurt regardless. Right or wrong, a lot of people won’t give a shit about the girl power movies or shows with primarily female casts. Black Panther was doomed when the lead actor died. They need to run with Spiderman, do an awesome new version of X-men, and recast the main Avengers characters.
  2. Did the aggy president refer to this as a “7 and a half year decision”?
  3. The TCU player rolled into his lower right leg right after his foot planted, and his knee bent inward. This was much more likely when an ACL would be torn than the alleged dirty foot twisting.
  4. Luv ya H-town Blue!* *coming 2024
  5. Why wasn’t there a “defenseless receiver” penalty when they kidney shotted Tank in the 2nd qtr?
  6. I see you
  7. It’s like none of you have ever been at the bottom of a pile. Players will try to bend your fingers backwards, grab and twist your nutsack, gouge, whatever. Grabbing his lower leg and twisting as they were hitting the ground may not have even been intentional.
  8. Hopefully an MCL strain and nothing torn. If it is only the meniscus, unfortunately for his future arthritic knee, they would probably “clean it up” (aka cut it out) arthroscopically so he’d be back for combine. Fingers crossed for him and the MRI.
  9. She doesn’t blink during sex either.
  10. A few years back while eating lunch with 3 coworkers, out of the blue one of them says “You know that chocolate fountain at Golden Corral? How many times do you think an employee stuck his dick in it after hours? Sorry, I don’t know why I think of random shit like that.” Then the other 3 of us admitted some version of that had previously crossed our minds.
  11. The most common argument FOR standard time (or switching to standard time in the fall) is kids (especially northerners) shouldn’t have to get on the bus in the dark. Counterpoints: 1. Is it better that they get off the bus in the afternoon in the dark and have zero daylight to play with friends after school? 2. By December it’s dark until after 8am up north so it will be dark in the morning anyway. I am Team permanent DST; during the winter I’ll take that hour of sunlight in the evening over wake up time.
  12. What I learned from this thread: Inserting true freshman Caleb Williams in the middle of the Texas-OU game = ballsy, energizing, what the team needed, this fucker might be Heisman level! Playing true freshman Arch Manning vs. TCU, ISU, and/or Tech = throwing him to the wolves.
  13. Whether a person believes in God or some general spirituality, many feel a connection outside of themselves with the universe or a meta physical energy, or just good vibes and kharma. If nothing else, it is meditation and self-therapy as others have mentioned. If you don’t believe there to be any such energy, that’s fine, but it’s pointless to shit on other people’s beliefs if they gain benefit, physical or mental health relief, or anything else from the practice.
  14. F the Spurs for winning the lottery.
  15. We’ll see what Amy Adams Seaskunk does regarding “trademark infringement” (can you trademark a combination of 3 colors without specific design, logo, name, or brand??) when the Texans switch to “H-town blue” jerseys. She is a hideous, spiteful cunt out to hurt the former fans of her father’s team and their children, none of whom had anything to do with the Bud vs Bob Lanier conflict.
  16. That’s the spirit!
  17. He also underthrew some balls when the receivers had beat their men deep (including a TD), but it was his first start. These situations are why coaches should let backup QBs throw during mop up duty instead of just handing off dives to the 4th string RB. Practice isn’t the game.
  18. Astros thrive with short middle infielders.
  19. Bury him in the H
  20. At the “end of time”, He Who Remains sees all possible outcomes and tells the TVA which alternate universe branches to “prune” before they can become a threat to his preferred timeline. When Sylvia kills him, nobody is pruning those branches in the past any more, and hundreds, thousands, or infinite branches with alternate Kangs will initiate. Every reality has a version of Thanos. Any version of him that wins was likely pruned previously, or maybe he always loses. So basically Loki is a husband.
  21. Redshirts only matter if they stick around 5 years and are contributors. Great QBs don’t do that anymore. Maybe 3 or 4 star OL that become fringe starters by the end.
  22. If Manning is actually better than Murphy but they kept Murphy listed as QB2 so far to keep him happy and downplay any Manning talk, then Manning should play immediately. He gets 4 games without burning the redshirt. By then Ewers should be back, and if not, starting 5+ meaningful games is probably worth burning the redshirt of a QB who won’t be here his 5th year anyway.
  23. If QE is going to miss multiple games, how much value is there to keep Arch’s redshirt? If he’s a bad ass, he won’t be here for a RS-SR 5th year anyway. If he is a disappointment, would he be playing at UT in his 5th year? This isn’t the 1960s-early 2000s. If they are studs, they will be gone after their 3rd year in college (not necessarily 3rd season), or at latest after their 4th year.
