  1. No but I really hated this movie. I assumed Derka is a huge 30Rock fan and decided to die on the Alec Baldwin hill.
  2. No but im going to frozen first week. Just bought my twins series tickets Ask Daniela if PF Chang’s is better than the Olive Garden up there.
  3. I hope your weapon of choice is Ralphie the buffalo.
  4. What the fuck was he doing pointing the gun at the cinematographer even if he thought it was empty or had blanks? To be an asshole and try to scare the shit out of her assuming it was blanks? If he was just “practicing”, he didn’t have to point it at someone an pull the trigger. Dude is a retard who killed someone and should go to jail.
  5. One of my former employers has an overly broad non-compete that they force every employee to sign on your first day of work with no mention of it during interviews or the job offer. Most sign it because they don’t understand or (as in my case), there weren’t many biotech jobs in Texas (Austin specifically). When I was terminated without cause (a whole other dramatic bullshit story) a week before my wife gave birth to our first child, the CEO and the president made all kinds of wild threats at me about going to a competitor or even within the general orthopedics and spine device field. I think none quote was “it doesn’t matter if we win in court, we will bankrupt you. If you have $200,000 in your bank, I’m willing to spend $200,001 on lawyers!” I was in product development and lab science, not sales. A non-disclosure of confidential information should have sufficed, not something baring me from employment in my field in the 27 states where the company had sales. I hired an employment attorney who informed me that the NC was overly broad and unenforceable, but recommended I take their severance offer (cash and shorted NC time) even if if my acceptance made it enforceable, because these assholes were batshit crazy. I wish a national ban on NCs would have been in place at the time.
  6. Since Sengun slipped out of the top 10 in the draft and OKC stupidly gave up the pick for some future Washington Bullets bullshit.
  7. A veteran offered a max contract? Especially if they replace Silas with a respected coach and extra especially if they add Wamby or Scoot and dump KPJ. Someone else needs to handle the ball. It’s no surprise that the Rockets are statistically better when KPJ isn’t on the floor. This team could jump up pretty quick as (or if) Green learns to be a professional and Smith keeps adjusting to the NBA. Sengun probably is the best asset even if non-Rocket fans see Green as the only potential franchise player. Some grizzled veterans filling out the ‘23-24 roster are sorely needed, almost as much as a new coach to light a fire under their asses.
  8. Adding Trubisky, Baker, Darnold, Rosen to Trey Lance and Zach Wilson…a few more busts top 10 pick QBs in the past 5 drafts. Burrow, Herbert, Allen, Lawrence, maybe Kyler are hits. Tua, Mac Jones, Daniel Jones are whatever. Dwayne Haskins, Jordan Love, Justin Fields, and Kenny Pickett if you expand to all first rounders. It’s a crapshoot with more misses than hits. Burrow and Lawrence were “no shit” choices. This draft is more like the Baker/Darnold/Allen with no obvious choice at #1 and a good chance only one or none end up being good. Way early mock drafters keep assuming Houston, Seattle, Indy, Atlanta, and Detroit all want a top 10 QB. As often as we see slides in the draft and smokescreens from teams, it’s possible that Stroud or Levis could be there at #12.
  9. Sean Payton related Trivia: no Super Bowl winning head coach that moved to another team ever won another Super Bowl.
  10. No shit. Sean Payton isn’t doing a one year turnaround on this shitbox team and there’s no Drew Brees coming in as a non-franchise tagged free agent QB to help him. Get young, energetic, and innovative coaches and keep building depth through 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks. Last year’s draft still has potential to be very good if we see Stingley play more man, aggy guard starts playing with the “asskicker attitude” he was billed for, and Metchie gets a clean bill of health (supposedly should be back for OTAs). Add in Pitre and Pierce and that’s 5 starters. We have #2 (could likely trade down if they don’t like a QB and pick up other high picks), #12, #33, #65, and #73. If Caserio hits on 3 or 4 of those, they’ve turned over half their starters in two drafts with a young talent base to build around. Trading a first round pick for Sean Payton would be a disaster.
  11. We turned the Mystery Machine into Noah’s Ark, dawg!
  12. A bold strategy for soliciting donations!
  13. Because he’s still under contract, and per the collective bargaining agreement approved by the NFLPA, Baltimore has the right to franchise tag him for another season? Also because until we wins in the playoffs, and/or demonstrates he’ll be able to win mostly with his arm for when his legs start to go in a few years, he isn’t worth a 6+ year deal at Mahomes or Watson money per year?
  14. I assume Justin Tucker and Devin Duverney fans do.
  15. Lamar is being a contract bitch. It’s one thing to hold out preseason games, quite another to quit on your team in week 18 and the playoffs. All insiders have been saying if they offered him a Mahomes extension he’d be playing. He said there’s “inflammation around my knee”, lol that is called pain associated with playing contact sports. Everyone has inflamed joints, muscles, and tendons by season’s end. The “my knee is unstable”….if he actually stretched a knee ligament, did he think this was going to correct itself in a week or two? I guess he did since he was day to day and just decided to quit. Hopefully the Ravens franchise tag his ass and start making alternate plans for 2024.
  16. Back in late 2000 I voted for Bayou City Hell Penguins as the nickname, and I stand by that.
  17. Just imagine it after he cut the sleeves off that bad boy!
  18. This gets brought up as frequently as the Texans are mentioned by national media or people that haven’t been paying attention. Bill O’brien was deservedly fired. They hired Culley for two reasons (1. They knew they were tanking and needed a pep rally guy as a stop gap and Culley was generally well liked; 2. vain effort to make Watson happy by hiring an African American coach after not going with his choices for GM or Bieniemy as HC). It was stupid to fire Culley (and pay him almost $30m in guaranteed dead money). Lovie was always a stop gap because after the Flores lawsuit they thought they needed another African American and someone with more coaching experience than Flores. I don’t know why they fired Lovie when they still aren’t ready to compete, just like I don’t know why they fired Culley.
  19. The dumber move was promoting Lovie to HC last year instead of hiring someone that might actually grow with the program. The dumberer move was firing Culley if they knew they were going to be tanking again anyway. Now it’s 4 different coaches in 4 consecutive years, and if Caserio makes the hire then gets fired, the next GM will want to bring in another new HC he picks.
  20. Omega and her whining in preteen 🥝 kiwi accent are annoying AF. I hope she gets gutted by Darth Maul after she gets busted stealing from his crime syndicate.
  21. This is how I feel (they should not take any qb at #1 this year), but now I’m scared they will burn a #2 or #3 to Chicago to move back up to #1 and take a QB anyway.
  22. Don’t be obtuse. My point was that the good people of Detroit, Indianapolis, St. Louis, etc. are not going to fill up the neutral site stadium, so it will be a few thousand fans of each team that can afford to fly out to watch. It could be a stadium with small capacity just to do something cool with this rare circumstance rather than play in an empty NFL stadium that is sterile even when there are fans.
  23. It will be Indianapolis because they always get this kind of shit, and it’s a dome, geographically centered sort of between KC and Cincinnati/Buffalo, and Colts aren’t using it. But bland AF
  24. And he had to watch Gary Kelly make it rain in the corner booth at the Rhino.
  25. Yes, son. Paul Revere used to drink with Babe Ruth in there before he got traded to the Yankees.
