  1. Hasn’t that been Sark’s MO here? Great game plan, build an early lead and look bad ass, then fall apart in the second half if the other team’s coaches make adjustments?
  2. I imagine this is how I looked watching overtime, standing in front of a tv in the bar area of an Outback Steakhouse tonight (minus the D&D caption, maybe)
  3. What the fuck? This isn’t 1993. 5 star QBs that win 10+ games per year don’t stay in college 5 years. If he is as advertised, he’ll go pro in 3 years whether it’s after he’s a Junior or RS-Soph. It’s not just QBs…redshirting Earl Thomas was awesome wasn’t it?
  4. I have long waited for Texas to get a HC with a contract like “we pay $1M per win and zero for losses, and we both have a $0 buyout.” It’s not hard to win 6 games and still get paid a top10 salary. There would be real incentive to win every fucking game. Instead we go along with the arms race of paying $10M guaranteed with huge buyouts when we fire them. Any coach that passes on the opportune to make $12M+ with a $6M floor must be a scared bitch.
  5. As a younger man, I’d have been hotter than a $2 pistol about this year’s Bama game, but I really didn’t care after about 5 minutes and thought “that was a good effort by our recent standards!” I’m not going back up to quote whoever mentioned Baylor finding multiple good coaches, but UT ties its own hand behind its back with arbitrary rules like “we don’t hire up and coming coordinators as HCs” or “No HC from D2 or small D1 programs at all!” Ok we’ve got Strong, Herman, and Sark when a guy like Traylor probably would’ve got a lot more out of the talent we’ve had.
  6. Deion and Green are the easy answers, but didn’t DK Metcalf recently get clocked at some ridiculous average velocity when he ran down a dude after an interception? I know all these one-off occurrences on a single play can catch any player on the fastest play of their career though. Then there are the guys who have an amazing couple years, like Dante Hall, Devin Hester, and this era’s Tyreek Hill. I’ll stick with Deion and Green because those guys went 4.2 their whole careers and it translated to dominance on the field and HOF.
  7. Does he offer a high floor on sexual harassment settlements?
  8. I’m hopeful they have the microchip capacity issues worked out (and society still exists) by the time my Bronco reservation number finally gets call in approximately 2025 😆 Broncos are absolutely part of what was being referenced in the article above. There is some infamous train yard in Detroit with thousands of 2021….errr 2022 (….errr 2023?) Broncos sitting there complete but without chips. People with reservations and PO’s can go stare at their car through the chain link fence and visit on holidays.
  9. Maybe this is what they were shooting for with The Last Jedi before ryann ran the franchise off the rails? I thought this show was awesome so far.
  10. What happens if a “retired” coach returns a few years later? Sean Payton says he wants to coach, and all the media keeps jumping on “how much compensation will a new team have to pay the Saints because he still had two years left on his contract?!” Presumably Payton wouldn’t want his new team to lose one or more first round picks. So what if he just shows up at the Superdome and says “honey I’m home!” If he’s still under contract that would be violated if he coached another team, doesn’t that mean the Saints would have to pay him if showed back up?
  11. The good old days were Saturday nights with Ron Franklin and Mike Patrick.
  12. I assume they will have some de-aged flashbacks like in the Obi Wan show. Maybe we will get treated to a post-ROTJ ghost appearance like “oh btw I’m good again and I have this kid named Luke that you should meet!”
  13. That comes every day of his life after he runs out of eligibility.
  14. NBA players are the most soft and spoiled of all pro athletes. Why should they get paid millions to feign mental health any time they have a disagreement with their team or want traded or the going just gets too tough? I agree they should be able to get real help and time if they need legitimately need it, but they should read up on the FMLA that the rest of America deals with when we have any health issues that keep us from performing the work we are being paid to do. Ben Simmons 2021-2022 should be the only example needed to shut this shit down.
  15. Love for big bombs: a father and son tradition!
  16. Texas @ Iowa State 2003. RIP Dave Lapham
  17. What kind of tailgate are they running over there? Next time you might consider Deep Eddy.
  18. Lowell Galindo is what you get when the University Co-op creates a knock-off version of Joe Buck inseminated by Chris Collinsworth, like their fake off-brands of hats and tshirts.
  19. Galindo has always been a no talent, fuckstick pole smoker. ESPN spent all the money on paying UT, so they had to find announcers willing to work for free.
  20. This reminded me of Mike Price and “oh, it’s rolling, baby!”
  21. So Mr. Gatti’s is catering? The early 2000’s Texas Football throwback tour is going well so far!
