  1. That bastard Keller cuts corners wherever he can.
  2. Can I borrow your Yeti tumbler?
  3. Did you log the exact date down on a Word doc?
  4. An awkward afternoon at Buck’s house. After he spends an hour calling you a pussy, he entertains you with his spreadsheets.
  5. Good to know, especially since I live 90 miles from the doctor.
  6. Seems like something a pervious person would say.
  7. Initial consultation with Dr. Kwatra at Spring Creek Urology in Conroe tomorrow morn. Never even had a pregnancy scare before, so maybe I don’t need one. I’m sure jerking off in a cup will be fun, though.
  8. I’m sure she appreciated the fuck outta that.
  9. Dammit. I just got home from there. Would’ve gladly tried it. Thanks for the rec. Definitely on the list for next time.
  10. Fuck that guy. And you got to show your gf how it’s done.
  11. New menu was great. Enjoyed some Lobster Tacos and Short Rib Guisada sandwiches last night. Totally worth it.
  12. Don’t get me wrong, I like it well enough, but…it’s just Lufkin, so it’s a wee bit backwards at times, especially for a coastal boy. We have a great place that we don’t plan on leaving for a while, though. At my age, the small-town vibe is just fine for me. Our overhead is low, we travel when we want, it’s a good life. It’ll do until our retirement plans are ready to launch. I will gladly drive to Corrigan for a worthy CFS, as well, so I am grateful for that tip What area are you?
  13. Currently doing a Mon-Wed Fredericksburg trip here. We tend to start early and crash early, and we’ve been loving the non-weekend crowds. Wife has never been here before, so I’ve been content to just let her wander all the Main Street shops and get her chick-stuff fix. My souvenirs so far include some Der Kuchen Laden goodies and a case of Viognier Reserve from Becker. Comfortable old stuff: Been 15 years for me, but I was enjoying a Scotch Egg and an Enchanted Rock Red Ale within 5 minutes of pulling into town, and complimenting the brewer on his product. An afternoon bottle at Lincoln Street every day has been mandatory. A rowdy evening at The Auslander was great. New stuff (to me): A day-killing lunch at Vaudeville was insanely good. Amazing service and product. Drinks and snacks at Chase’s last night were a wonderful capper on the day. They are introducing a whole new menu today, so we plan to be back at 5pm. Breakfast this morning at Emma + Ollie was a great time (pastries acquired for the road tomorrow). Gonna close out our trip at Der Daiwel tonight and cap the trip off in Metal style. There’s a possibility of future business endeavors in this area, so…looking forward to future trips. Off to downtown Austin for 2 nights before heading back home on Saturday. Not a bad week at all, I guess.
  14. Thanks for the tip. Will check it out.
  15. Thanks so much for the further info. I will inquire further into the two guys I mentioned above...or maybe just go get two opinions on my condition and weigh my options. My left eye started to go wonky in '97. Took a good 6 years of so before soft contacts were just damn uncomfortable. Tried the hard contacts for a while, but the left one would just spin on my cornea's "peak" and jettison itself after a few blinks (also quite uncomfortable. I discussed corrective procedures with my ophthalmologist throughout the early 'aughts. He was very familiar with Keratoconus, but, like you, did not treat it himself. He seemed to think I was lucky that I only had one eye with that condition. He also seemed to think that, unless my eyesight was substantially altering my quality of life, not too worry too much because of the possible drawbacks of any surgical procedure. Thus, my left eye is fucked, but I still get by. After 14 years of that, however, I was hoping to see if some relief might be available. Never heard of corneal cross linking before this thread, but...I will damn sure look into it. Thanks again!
  16. Been looking around on my own for a cornea specialist relatively close to me (I’m in Lufkin). Found Dr. Singh in the Woodlands at Eye Specialists of Texas. Also found Dr. Verstringhe in Conroe / Woodlands / Tomball with Houston Eye Associates. Anyone have any experience with either of those places?
  17. Nice response. Truly appreciated. Are you in the industry?
  18. Oh so tender and loving. The reach-around was my favorite part.
  19. I would love to know more about this, too. My left eye is completely fucked with keratoconus.
  20. Is that goofy fucker still a thing? Jesus…..
