  1. Quoted for emphasis on Truth. ETA mind you, a decent hand in the kitchen, even if limited to sammiches and brewski delivery, would definitely be a plus.
  2. It looks like it's time to fully implement Fully Informed Jury and understand your vote as a Juror is about the Law as much as it is about "who's telling the truth". If you think the charge against a defendant is bullshit, whether that's because the law is shit or because it's not properly applied, vote Not Guilty.Don't announce your reasoning when being questioned in selection. Yes, you can apply the law. There is nothing in the Law that says your job as a Juror is limited to deciding whether the defendant did what the State says he did. You have every right to decide about the law and its application. Bottom line, quote Nancy Reagan: "Just Say No."
  3. 'Bama, no real reason for them to be top 5. 3-point spread in top 5, tossups with 3-point home field advantage. Don't follow this guy at all, is he worth betting? The only one that has looked worth a shit has been Pate and his "Ramen Express" picks. 2023 results I worked, came up at 57%... That's damn fine - 53% gets you break-even on standard 100/110 vig bets.
  4. Hey, wasn't it UNC that got a little wrist slap for having a completely non-existent course giving out A's to basketballers?
  5. This is why my default behavior regarding the female is ignorance and inaction. If I do something, it's wrong and I should not have done it. If I don't do something, I should have done it. Either way, I'm an asshole. In the latter case, I have profited by refraining from any exertion of body or mind.
  6. O/U on number of days 'til "Bring Back Mack" movement starts?
  7. Eight seconds, no talking to deviate course and pick up trash versus who knows how long and how many words for rando hornfan with or without SurlyShirt/cap...
  8. Well, it seems that technically you would if you could spell Poughkeepsie, but...
  9. I narrowly avoided a disappointment recently. Dating app came up with that looked like a really good match, so we got together on facetime. I thought she looked nice, she seemed to think I was decent-looking. She asked me if I have any disabilities, and I admitted I'm color blind. She laughed and laughed, made fun of me. I logged the hell off of that shit. That was a huge gray flag.
  10. "Hey, thanks, man! I was gonna get that later."
  11. And def better than pretty much any other.
  12. I have to agree with this, particularly if it refers to the level of my desire to lick the sweat off of them after a game. The likelihood of that happening is pretty much equally low in either case. NTTAWWT
  13. That's a fact. It's an ill win that blows no silver lining. Or something.
  14. Not arguing who/what did it, rather playing on irresponsibility. PM Janet Reno...
  15. USC-ND is one of those meetings that, for me, stands alongside tOSU-Meatchicken and 'Bama-UGa as a game simply not to be missed, even though my favored outcome involves asteroids, meteors, earthquakes... Fuck everybody involved in removing any of these games from the schedule. NOTE: Texas-OU is missing only because I do actually care who wins that one. Texas-aggy is missing because fuck aggy.
  16. I'm not sure you can refer to someone who would do that as "responsible" in any way.
  17. Be fair... Sark came in with a "Seven wins and Drunk" rep, a coupla Saban years and a recommendation from the GOAT. Like (I suspect) a lot of the rest of us, I have a certain amount of life experience dealing with Recovering Alcoholics - some of them are, but some are not, actually recovering. Early Sark did himself no favors in Year One, starting afire and flaming out in a six-consecutive-loss disaster. That performance absolutely deserved a label of Six Loss Steve, along with suspicions of Not Recovering. These last two seasons have seen us - well, Sark -with a good, but not transcendent, Quarterback, a much improved Defense, and a team needing only a little more running game to have been repeat national champions. Either a QB with more ability as a runner or a Bijan-alike prolly woulda given us that bit of boost. Good work, Sark. And Thank You, Quinn.
  18. Yankees, imo. Mebbe californicators.
  19. On one of the Monday Night Football watches, both uncles admitted that Arch was a better athlete than either one of them. Our expectations will be more than met if he's as good or better than Peyton as a planner and Eli as an observer.
  20. Less angry posts Less repetition Less insults More Amber Heard One could make a case for posts to be the same in number, but not so angry and not so insulting...
