  1. Eastwood actually already has it in preproduction.
  2. LCD broke out some old b sides for the show last night. Loved it but kind of odd they were selected with no new album.
  3. You clearly underestimate the military prowess of middle aged Texans who’ve read Guns of August on more than one occasion.
  4. Never forget. The Party of Personal Responsibility
  5. I think AquaTerra blue dial is next up on my list. Beautiful watch.
  6. 2007 by itself had at least 4 “truly great” movies in TWBB, NCFOM, Zodiac, and Michael Clayton. Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford isn’t far behind.
  7. This thread is hysterical. Some real LOL moments.
  8. The spicy vodka rigatoni, the veal parm and 2 or 3 martinis has never let me down. I think the rigatoni is “the classic” thing to order there. It’s a small portion. I think I remember the baked clams being awesome as well. There is also a table side prepared Caesar that’s good.
  9. Went to Jackass Forever last night. Those guys have predictably aged like $2 wine. I missed Bam but it was a great hang for 2 hours. Introducing new characters was a good idea.
  10. One of the all time great films. Re-watched Paper Moon recently as well. Tremendous. RIP Peter Bogdanovich.
  11. Embiid with 42 and 14 on 66/75/80% splits at MIL tonight. Just filthy. 3 point game with 13 seconds left.
  12. Titane is on Hulu, in case you want to have yourself a fucked up night.
  13. Damn, Cam Thomas got on one in the second half tonight. Absolute dagger three to clinch the comeback win against the Knicks
  14. Did the same last year when I stayed in Monforte and then Tremezzo. Drove all over the place in between. A little odd when Google maps tells you to turn right and all of the sudden you are on a dirt road in the middle of a vineyard, but good times. The toll roads are the trickiest. Sometimes you need a ticket on and off, sometimes it’s just pay at the ending, and sometimes the machine eats your tickets and a man starts yelling at you in Italian through the intercom.
  15. Saw Waxahatchee last night. Earlier this week got tickets to one of Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot shows in April at United Palace. I think have Snail Mail, Mitski and Bon Iver tickets at the moment, and trying for Fleet Foxes next week.
  16. Does your buddy need a new friend? I fucking love Como and give cold hard cash for wedding gifts.
  17. It's incredible to watch Rockets fans continue to stan for Harden after he choked away multiple playoff series, ran off Chris Paul in favor of fucking Westbrook, and then quit on his team and forced his way out. I mean Kawhi won a finals MVP for the Spurs and he'd still be shot dead by 75% of the Spurs thread.
  18. When compared to Harden, who quit on two teams in the last 12 months, choked his entire career in the playoffs, and now is about 25 pounds overweight on the wrong side of 30? Simmons quit on Philly after he got the yips and both his coach and best player trashed him after a playoff exit. Never a great look to quit on a team, but it's somewhat understandable. Maybe he never amounts to anything and forces his way to LA, but between the two I'll roll the dice on the 25 year old.
  19. Phenomenal deal for Brooklyn. Get rid of a cancer, get an extra scorer and ball handler in Curry, get a guy like Simmons who can be a DPOY-level defender when right (even if he literally scores zero points), and they add a little depth to their thinnest position.
  20. Re Harden and Simmons, from the Nets perspective they need to trade Harden to Philly for every single player asset they can possibly get. The Nets need to be focused on one thing and one thing only: maximizing the Kevin Durant window. They have at worst the second best player in the NBA on their roster (in my view the best player in the NBA), and they are wasting precious time with the carnival of Harden and Kyrie. James Harden is done with the Nets. The guy is a fucking clown and a loser, and he always has been. I suppose it was worth a shot given his talent, but it's ending predictably and made even worse by the fact that they gave up Jarret Allen. If Morey is willing to give assets for Harden's bum ass because he fills up a stat sheet in January, the Nets should run with it. The best case scenario for the Nets in my view is Simmons and Curry for Harden. I'd be surprised if Morey parts with Curry, but who knows. A lineup of Kyrie, Curry, Durant, Simmons and pick your 5th probably gets out of the East and is much better positioned to compete for the next 2-3 years.* If the deadline passes without a trade being completed, you can write off the Nets this year as serious contenders. *A big assumption that the Kyrie home game issue is resolved in some fashion, either by him becoming an adult or New York loosening its standards.
