  8. I think we’ve identified the problem.
  9. You should be very happy with your theater/movie experience. Is that a thing? It can be/has been when I visit non Drafthouse theaters. Does it happen every time, definitely not. It's just that the chances of it happening at a Drafthouse are near 0 because they don't tolerate it.
  10. Just when I think the dude sounds reasonable about raising the alarm bell about water conservation, I'm reminded he's still an idiot with stuff like this.
  11. Watched Wicket this weekend in Houston while visiting family. Made me wish there was an Alamo Drafthouse in the city. I get what Helo is saying in terms of other theaters catching up in terms of food and comfort. But there’s a cultural difference in the clientele… you just really don’t have annoying talking @#$@ at the Drafthouse.

  24. I heard the dude from St. John’s from this university participate in a debate with liberal counterparts in a really interesting session at UT earlier this year. On paper, I don’t oppose anything they’re advocating for. From what I can recall that with the minimal challenge of how conservative voices are being silenced… he couldn’t really come up with much of a rebuttal or add much on to the discourse. I did find some of the kids that leaned liberal being way to naive in how much of their views should be protected on campus. The patient and soon to be former School of Liberal Arts Dean (Thanks a lot Jay) had to explain to one student that there’s only so much they could do to create space for students to gather safely and express their thoughts and opinions. The school can’t control what happens during/after during these sessions. I do hope Texas organizes this event again in the upcoming years and more locals attend… assuming it doesn’t run afoul of our idiot Texas Leg. It’s more needed than ever.
