  1. I was at the game and haven't read through the entire thread. Two things I keep wondering: 1) why didn't Disu play more? 2) why did Licon play 4 minutes in the first half? KState immediately went at him and got an easy look at the rim and then stuck a three when he didn't close out. They just gave away 5 points. Points in the first half count the same as points in the second half.
  2. both pretty ticky tack calls too. dang.
  3. man, Burke is just a beast out there.
  4. helluva kick - 53 yarder
  5. I bit my tongue all season because I can't say certain things on a public board, but I can confirm what Nahlin writes here - fwiw. It is amazing to me what can accomplished with a few well placed fluff articles and some well spoken platitudes in interviews.
  6. Taj Harris has the talent to play at Texas, but is a complete and total headcase. I can't see Sark wanting to bring that guy into the locker room
  7. best way I can describe how I feel right now: of course, the obligatory:
  8. Bujcevski didn't tear his achilles, he tore his ACL. The reason he didn't play this year wasn't because he was unable to make it back from injury.
  9. According to that 247 link, Latham is originally from Wisconsin and played at Waukesha his freshman and sophomore years before transferring to IMG. I wonder if the recent events have had any effect?
  10. FWIW, there are approximately 520ish student athletes at UT.
  11. If Samples is ambitious - and by all accounts he is - then it is a step forward in his career to be at a SEC/Big 12 school, especially a blue blood like Texas. A smart, ambitious coach would look for a place where he can look good and shine. Being a WR coach for Worthy, Jordan Hudson (presumably) and Evan Stewart (possibly) in Sark's offense would be a good start on the next rung of his career ladder. Of course there is downside risk if Sark completely flames out and the team is awful for the next 2-3 years. But whether or not Sark has the goods as a head coach, he has proven his bona fides as an offensive mind. There are worse things on a young, offensive minded football coach than to soak in Sark's offensive philosophies for a few years.
