  1. Mathematics smack not going away....
  2. I always felt the guitar work on this album was the perfect Rolling Stones sound. Keith was in his prime, and Taylor was an absolutely gifted soloist. And the intro to “can’t you hear me knocking” is fucking timeless.
  3. Especially when you look at the gifted turnover. The follow up poor punt, boom game changed.
  4. I got’ta be honest, this really doesn’t bother me. Being an asshole bothers me.
  5. I’m surprised just how much more team speed Okie lite appears to have. Or does that observation go under “they don’t want to be there”?
  6. Say what you want. Mack did a really good job this year.
  7. They only have one rule book in Braille so they have to share.
  8. I’m shocked Skip won 10 games..
  9. The dryness in which that line was delivered was perfect.
  10. I’m over 60 and have watched a lot of football. And for some damn reason I think JH is the baddest fucker I have ever seen play the game of football. I know, I know, there are so many great ones. Some far more decorated. But for me, if I was building a team, I would start with him. Harrison was a step different.
  11. Robert Smith interview in Guitar Player claims he uses a Fender Jazzmaster that he added a Woolworth Top 20 pickup. I can’t find a good photo of what the finished conversion actually looks like. Apparently he is a bit of a gear head.
  12. No, but I am retired and travel extensively. And I believe if people were being completely honest they would report similar numbers. That said I have no doubt there are those who find great deals (through blind luck) and take advantage of them. Or perhaps they have a connection that allows them access to a bottle. Everyone else has to pony up. Jesus, If I could get it cheaper I would.
  13. Rodman was the best pound for pound rebounder I have ever seen live. TV simply didn’t do him justice. In an era where you could get fucked up playing down low, Dennis thrived. Shame his life off the court has always been a mess. Maybe that is why he was so good?
  14. Seriously? You no Rockn Rolla, Van Helsing or Star Trek? I believe all of those efforts were before Inception?
  15. From the beginning of the movie I felt like I missed the first 10 or 15 minutes. I’m not going to say the script was good or bad. Just unable to pull me into their world from the on set. Which is odd as I really like this shit. But for some reason I just couldn’t get into it, and started looking at my watch.
  16. Wow, big difference between where you and I live. That 15 is easily in the $2500 neighborhood. Lot B is around $1500 and 10 about $900. I have no idea what 23 goes for because I have never seen one.
  17. I guess I’m old school when it comes to professional conduct. But regardless of the situation you keep your shit together. No one wants to see the captain of the ship running around screaming “fuck it we’re all gonna die”.
  18. I agree with you. Fight scenes are extremely difficult to choreograph when you have some big ass thugs and 140 lb women. Regardless of director, the physics of the mismatch are impossible to ignore. This movie was one of the best I have ever seen at addressing this fundamental problem with a somewhat realistic outcome. Or maybe I’m just horny..did I mention that I would like to fuck Charlize?.
  19. Dude has to be smart..look at the size of his forehead! That’s a lot of brain..
  20. I absolutely love this fucking thread.
  21. I had only seen the movie, so I knew very little about the novella. And it almost lost me at one point. But I’m glad I stuck it out. I really liked it.
  22. At first I thought my reason for liking the movie was linked to my living there during that time. You could get into some crazy shit around Checkpoint Charlie. But then I realized it wasn’t that at all, I just wanted to fuck Charlize.
