  1. I find that somewhat disturbing.
  2. Yeah, I’m in the minority on the bolded part. Sure, I get the premise of all the agitation. But without context it reminds me of a number of short films I saw while in college in Germany. Film students of that era loved this kind of shit.
  3. Food for thought. Beatty was a terrible football coach. And Kansas only was able to hire Miles because the LSU spin machine cast him aside as a dinosaur on the offensive side of the ball that refused to change. And he became somewhat of a pariah because everyone wants more offense. Under no other set of circumstances would Les coach there, or would Kansas have any chance of such a big name. Miles wants back in to big time college football. Unlike Beatty, Les is a real football coach. His teams will improve, and he has shown with firing Keonning that he is more than willing to axe a guy who ain’t performing. As well as attempting to shake the perception that he is against offensive football. Im not saying Kansas football is good. Probably will not have a winning record by season’s end. But they are much better than anything Beatty put out. They have a good runningback, and are improving along both the offensive and defensive lines. Considering their roster that is quite an accomplishment. Contrary to all of our resident experts they are better than they are getting credit for.
  4. Fuck Chicago
  5. Pe-can....Pe-con
  6. You’re just fucking around, right?
  7. Damn, we have an interesting fanbase.
  8. I didn’t mean it to be disparaging. Only that I have tackled a lot of guys in my time. And who was running at me had a lot to do with how well I tackled. Does that make sense?
  9. Oh, I dunno. Maybe it is who they are tackling that creates the illusion of being better.
  10. Give em a break. He probably had to sneak downstairs to login.
  11. There was a lot of shit going on with Fields and the bull dawg baseball player (Sasser) at the time Smart made his choice. Those events allowed Fields to get his transfer expedited through the portal. So It wouldn’t be a stretch to believe that those events played into Smarts decision to go with Fromm. From a pure football position it is pretty easy to see what both bring to the table. And to this point Fields looks like the far better player. He is an explosive player who appears to be able to handle every throw he needs to make, and runs well. You have to believe Kirby saw this too.
  12. Sadly in the sports world we live. Where sports highlights seem to always consist of extreme athletic ability. Greinke’s 1st inning performance can get easily lost. But his ability to control his emotions, and demonstrate just how cerebral the veteran is. I’m not even a Astro’s fan, but I completely enjoyed watching the man show how you handle adversity and ultimately persevere. Good stuff. He has a new fan.
  13. Didn’t one of you call this move a couple of pages back?
  14. How in the world did that get out?
  15. Here man, let me help you out. I speak jive. What my brother is trying to say is Texas doesn’t play with their roster in the way other universities appear to do. We treat players who can’t crack the coveted two deep, a little different in Austin then they do other places.
  16. One could argue that Orlando did accomplish one thing. He showed a huge television audience that Hurts ain’t even close to what the gnome and Baker were when it comes to making tough throws. He is very average, with some talented receivers. Though I concede he does give them an additional RB at 6-2” 200 or whatever he is that is able to run through the tackles. But I now see for myself why Tua got the job.
  17. I tend to agree. I have nothing against Dak other then he is just another guy playing QB. He’s not bad, but he isnt great either. I just react to what I see, and I don’t think the competition respects his game (arm). Allowing them to crowd the box for Zeke. They of course make sure they all know exactly where Cooper is when he is in because he can make a QB look better then they actually are. But what the fuck do i know, I just watch it. Damn, losing to the fucking Jets. What a pussy team.
  18. You expressed that very well..
  19. Im just spit balling here. But, to your point. What caught my eye was how well the ou defenders were able to sniff out plays. In particular their breaks on the screens. They saw something, or someone tip the play prior to the snap. A DB leaving the flat wide open, (the easiest throw for a QB, especially the hot read) to commit on a play that hasn’t even started was telling to me.
  20. Everything else aside, that was funny...
  21. That was one play I really didn’t understand. It was a strange play. When Lamb stopped to juke, our guys stopped too, rather then close in on him. We had numbers, and the sideline in our favor. Very weird play that went the other way.
  22. From where I’m sitting he appears to have a pretty good understanding on how to play the game of football from his position.
