  1. well it was a surprise that wiley signed with miami and not texas. happy?
  2. i think sharma has something set for 4:30 this afternoon, right?
  3. problem was both of those drives ended in turnovers.
  4. also, the two games that uga lost this year was wearing white jerseys and they wore white in the seccg last year in the loss to bama. hmm. that said, almost all of our best memories since 2000 are in all white. 2004 rose bowl, 2005 ohio state, national championship, 2008 ou game, 2011 aggies, 2018 ou, 2018 uga, 2022 and 2024 ou, 2023 big 12 champ game. unfortunately, white was also loss in 2009 champ game and playoff semifinal loss last year. orange really only has 2008 fiesta bowl, 2013 ou beatdown, 2015 ou upset. on the other hand, lost the 2018 big 12 champ game in orange. also lost big non con home games in 2006 to osu, 2019 lsu, and 2022 bama. also wore orange in the borderline erotic arkansas texas bowl humiliation. god the way my brain works is so stupid.
  5. florida and vanderbilt need to be switched (and LSU and agros as well) on there if they are actually talking about week 14 and not cumulatively. vanderbilt cratered and florida is rolling.
  6. can't do the transitive property stuff in cfb this year. cfb is too fucking whacky this year. if so, oklahoma state did not win a single game in the big 12 this year (bonkers by the way), but they beat arkansas who beat tennessee who is 3rd in sec and beat bama who beat georgia who beat texas. it's all a bit silly this year. that said, there really is not a team in the big 12 this year that i would be particularly angsty about playing. november asu and september byu would be the two teams that would be the least comfortable going into the game but the rest of them would be an assbeating in my estimation and i would rather play those two teams right now than south carolina. regardless, i would happily take games against indiana or penn state (at home) first and foremost above anyone.
  7. great news! we can counter that disadvantage with the downfield threat and press our wr speed and separation advantage over the top with our hyper accurate deep ball game which will back their guys up and open up the ground game and short passing game. wait. in all seriousness, it remains a challenging matchup for our offense given their sideline to sideline speed and power. to be successful, it is going to require a consistent version of quinn we have all been clamoring for since michigan but have been denied. once again, here's hoping he suddenly plays a great game start to finish...
  8. guys, this is taking a gross turn. not a good look. i personally would like to talk about how the agros started going all ole miss in the second half and having injuries on every positive texas play that went more than 5 yards and then the player miraculously returning a play later. it is seemingly one sec tradition that we had largely avoided this season until saturday. that shit is fucking annoying.
  9. looking for additional ones - we lost the sugar bowl to vt after the 95 season in last year of swc. lost the sugar bowl to washington last year in last year of big 12. we are one season off from playing the back to back national champs wearing red in the conference champ game. corn won it in 94 and 95 and we beat them in 96. uga won in 21 and 22 so one year off. we did wear orange in the 1996 big 12 game. wearing orange this week. would be nice if 1996 ricky could dress out. this one is a bit weak but in 1996, played in an NFL dome for a team competing in what would become an nfc south division team in division with the panthers, falcons, and saints. playing this one in an NFL dome of an nfc south team.
  10. i have to say, i have obviously enjoyed this season a great deal as a passionate texas fan. giving up one total offensive touchdown to the combination of ou, arkansas, and agros (none at home) is fun. going to michigan and beating that ass is fun. choosing not to run up on the score on go gata. ohio state losing two games, clemson sucking, usc sucking. but the one thing that has pissed me off to an extremely irrational point all season is watching missouri stay ranked all year. they have to be the biggest fucking fraud in the history of college football and for some reason, it annoys the ever loving shit out of me that they are getting credit for beating (ranked for quality): vandy (by 3 in overtime at home) ou (by 7 at home) arkansas (by 7 at home) auburn (by 4) miss state boston college (by 6 at home) umass buffalo murray state they played four road games - and the only one they won was basement miss state. they got fucking raped by the agros, bama, and lost at south carolina by an average of 23 points. fuck off missouri...you have no business sniffing any respect.
  11. byu should have cemented its spot in there the minute alabama got its ass blasted by shitass ou. but then they went and lost to kansas at home (a week after they should have lost to utah). that killed any argument they had in my mind.
  12. i have no doubt that someone else has said it but ever since last year when it was obvious we were going to run away with the big 12 championship, I couldn't help but recalling that in 1995, we won the last SWC championship before we left and then turned around and shocked everyone by winning the big 12 in its first year in 1996. we won the last big 12 championship we would compete for and we are playing for the first sec champ game. would be nice to close that loop.
  13. Quinn Ewers will the at the very top of my death certificate. That fucking guy.
  14. Alabama just took the trophy home on the worst fucking ref call of the year. What a complete fucking screw job.

You didn’t. You recommended manele to me a few years back and I’ll never forget that day as it was the best golf experience I have ever had. I have not played makai before but it gets a good bit of love. Hopefully the greens are in better shape next week.
  16. “Delivering Medicare for all” is now equivalent to some undefined, abstract notion of “expansion” that is proposed by the trump administration? I can’t even think of a ridiculous cr-styled gif to post that conveys the level of disingenuousness of that nonsense.
  17. No shortage of people whose heads need to explode…but I will give you any line you want on universal Medicare coverage that is delivered by the trump administration being the culprit. Name it.
  18. Name an amount. Any amount. I will make that bet.

thanks guys, booked beach club and dukes for the day we are down south. also, while i generally rely on @pops for advising me on all hawaiian golf outings, went ahead and booked a round at princeville makai on thanksgiving morning. it's right next door to our condo so seemed like a no-brainer.
  20. well we know he isn't talking about a "go route."
  21. it's by no means my favorite movie but an entertaining as hell one... but in the updated version of the thomas crown affair with brosnon, the most critical part of the heist of the monet in the first act of the movie is walking out with it in his briefcase that was also the heater to raise the temperature in the impressionism room. the monet did not fit into the transport briefcase and it would have required folding and breaking the stretcher that the canvas was on in order to close the suitcase. the shot of him loading it in the suitcase cuts away right before he goes to close the suitcase and walk out of the room. always irritated the ever loving shit out of me. the whole god damned movie was predicated on this moment. just make the fictitious painting smaller you assholes. scene in question...the moment i am talking about is from 1:55-2:00 below.
  22. or the ability to make any of the dbs respect the probability of connecting on even an uncovered deep route.
  23. refereed by david coote after bumping a line.
  24. LMAO...avery johnson and will howard are both so unbelievably shitty that i just think of them as one big fat useless kansas state qb. lol, good catch.
  25. if we had the quinn that played against okie state and michigan, i would put him at 2 or 3. unfortunately, that quinn seems to have been murdered superman 3 style by dark quinn. you will have a hard time convincing me that there is a single qb on that list other than howard and leonard that would have missed the three deep balls against arkansas so wildly bad as quinn did. dart is inconsistent and does some stupid shit sometimes but he can be deadly with his legs and can be deadly accurate when he's hot. rourke is playing extremely consistently and has a wonderful stat line. but, as i said, that may all be bullshit. we get to find out this weekend. tennessee kid is also inconsistent but has been very good at times. i might revise allar...he's nothing special but he tends not to make the big mistakes. he's one of the more reliable and consistent players on the list along with rourke. but he's nothing special. to be clear, this might be the worst year of college football qbs i can remember. no one is consistently great. if i were an nfl team drafting, ward is the only one i would even consider and even then, meh. quinn really blew an amazing opportunity to leverage a terrible qb class into a really high pick. but watching him try to throw deep balls was outright cringey and him peeing down his leg every single time the defense shows any designed pressure is not going to endear him to any organizations.
