  1. our at bats have been making quite crazy for 5 weeks now and this game is doing nothing to help. come on, texas. 3 innings of 3 up, 3 down against houston christian. 2 more innings of 4 up 3 down thanks to a hbp and throwing error. frustrating.
  2. i feel like the thing that is being missed in all this bickering is that everton finished 6 points clear of united and 10 points clear of spurs. lulz. we also did everything we could do to get @RamjetFDO into champions league again next year but they blew it themselves.
  3. You really can't go wrong. Interlaken or Luzern as a base is ideal imo but obviously St. Moritz, Zermatt, etc... are great as well. You have a good plan. Zurich is time wasted in Switzerland. Don't sleep on Italian Switzerland. Specifically the town of Lugano is really, really great. A little mini version of Lake Como (that's like 5 minutes from actual Lake Como).
  4. i still don't like one bit of this. you're making me nervous.
  5. Really need to avoid 4, 5, or 8 so we can avoid Stanford until finals.
  6. i used stubhub for ucl city and real madrid game and had no issues thought it was a hassle to get the dude's card. i remain of the opinion that doing hospitality (particularly at those two places where the teams suck) is your best, easiest option and a cool way to see the game. here's fulham: https://www.fulhamfc.com/tickets-and-hospitality/hospitality/ here's tottenham: https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/tickets/premium-experiences/matchday-options/ both have availability for sunday for pretty good prices. spurs especially have some sweet ass seats available. i did hospitality for arsenal-chelsea derby last fall at stamford and the experiences were nice but the seats fucking sucked.
  7. i will say that the little things that annoy me about rogan are similar to the two preceding posts but the weekly releases instead of binging takes that edge off completely for me. show has been hilarious imo. and, of course, i'd like to thank sal sapperstein.
  8. The only thing I know for certain when it comes to the subjective tastes of other goobers providing their asinine opinions over what drummer is the best like they have fuck all insight to offer whatsoever is that you made the absolute right call in deleting that post. I can only assume you were in the midst of a very heavy trip when you linked that fucking video…which made me want to never think about music again. a name that is being overlooked so far in this thread is Carter Beauford. In my scenario I described earlier of constructing a session ensemble, he would be next after Danny.
  9. i really want to trade in my burst les paul for a gold top. i need to do that soon. fucking gorgeous.
  10. i've really enjoyed playing it. i find the action to be perfect for me and the tone is plenty mellow relative to my taylor which is much brighter (and the action is a little high for my taste). it's like playing a telecaster neck vs. a les paul neck to me. anyway, enjoying it. oh, and it is so light. so, so light. love it.
  11. Did a thing last weekend that starts with a D and ends with an 18 that I do not regret…

    Lush beauty.
  13. It is an interesting function of linguistics…and English in particular. It is because four or five syllables in a cadence for some reason carries a weight with it that promotes emphasis. It weighs a ton does not connote the same type of interesting emphasis as it weighs a metric fuckton. You don’t get a lyrical cadence in the former so it sounds less exceptional. It is the same reason for the proliferation of white people using the term “literally” in front of any type of single syllable direct object for the purpose of emphasis instead of the proper use of the term (ironic). I am literally dead connotes so much more emphasis than I am dead. Anyway. Humans are weird.
  14. on the topic of hi-fi, much like everything else in this world, it is all headed towards being one fucking company. samsung, who owns harman, purchased sound united for $350 million. sound united is marantz, bowers & wilkins, denon, polk, definitive. now those will be under the samsung's roof with jbl, akg, arcam, revel, mark levinson. bose bought mcintosh just a few months back as well. oh well. https://www.stereophile.com/content/sound-united-finds-new-home-harman
  15. either you have not spent time in england or you haven't seen the movie "bend it like beckham." also...west wing nailed it.
  16. beauties. very nice. I would get stands myself just to widen the soundstage a bit anyway (though i may be totally misreading the size of the room). though if you upgraded your isolation pad game just a little bit, putting the turntable on top would not be an issue at all. particularly if you connect a sub that isn't on the table and let it handle everything below 80hz. depends. are you my wife or insurance carrier? i think you have to tell me if you are. on that note, i love them so much. i would reflexively kill every single person in austin except my wife and kids to protect them and ensure their happiness (the monitors).
  17. i wonder if her ex husband and her had separate bathrooms at their house. special level of stupidity that these grifters assign to their supporters.
  18. judy has always been my favorite character but this season, she was the whole show for me. you say it, i'll suck it, fuck it, much it, or punch it. i do not understand how they get a single scene filmed with edi patterson. i would die every time.
  19. i don't like the looks of any of this. but i am an obsessive compulsive clean freak and i polish everything i own twice a day.

    2025 ACL

Juno position to salvage. pretty meh for me. if i go, it will be for finding something new to listen to outside of isakov and maybe checking out what doja cat is wearing on her ass.

    New Austin Music

i have to say, i find it incredibly fascinating that most of the music that jimmy throws out there that i have never heard of but sometimes dig always in some way takes me back to his favorite band of all time...garbage. i think a psychologist could have a real field day with that one...

    New Austin Music

that second song is a legit banger. really enjoyed that one as well as the slow tempo third song. i will seek these guys out...thanks, jimmy. the rest of the songs sound really nice too. that bass player is pure stage presence...lol. in my perfect world, that lead singer gives him a chance and changes his entire essence forever. that whole band is so mismatched in terms of stage presence...that girl gets to carry all the water. eta: lol, their top songs on the streamers is "greg abbott's maxi pad."
