  1. google the following text: when to use es for plural The machine will tell you the following (I bolded and italicized the "-x" reference below): AI Overview Learn more The suffix "-es" is used to form the plural of most nouns that end in "-s", "-x", "-z", "-ch", or "-sh". This is generally done to maintain correct pronunciation and avoid clashing with the sound of the plural "s". Here's a more detailed explanation: Pronunciation: The "-es" ending is used to ensure the plural pronunciation is distinct from the singular form, especially with words ending in sounds like /s/, /z/, /ch/, etc. General Rule: Add "-s" to most nouns to make them plural (e.g., "cats," "boxes"). Exceptions: -o: Many words ending in "-o" add "-s" (e.g., "radios," "tomatoes"), but some add "-es" (e.g., "heroes," "potatoes"). -s, -x, -z, -ch, -sh: Nouns ending in these letters/letter combinations typically add "-es" to their plural form (e.g., "foxes," "boxes," "churches," "brushes," "classes"). -y preceded by a consonant: If the singular noun ends in "-y" that is preceded by a consonant, change the "-y" to "-i" and add "-es" (e.g., "baby" becomes "babies").
  2. We've all typed far too much about this, but that will not stop me from typing some more... Sanders' physical traits might place him among the top 5 QBs in this draft. In fact, he might be the 2nd best at footwork, deep passes, etc. It is a weak draft for QBs. None of us were in the interviews, but is the leaked information really any surprise? He asked teams how they are going to support him; he was unprepared for general playbook types of questions; he answered a personal call. Based on his demonstrated lack of sportsmanship, self-promotion, and finger pointing, what is being leaked about his interviews is no surprise. That alone would be a serious red flag, enough of one to push him down the draft board. Then add the family side show, and front-offices have to ask themselves, "Is the juice worth the squeeze?" Cleveland finally answered the question, "Yes, in the 5th round." The notion that there is some grand conspiracy against Shedeur or the Sanders family is absurd. These guys are running businesses and are making decisions they think will improve their businesses. Drafting a QB in the first round is an tacit message that you believe you are drafting a near-future starter. No team believed Shedeur is ready to be a starter. For some folks, that is being seen as racist, or anti-Sanders family, or whatever. Watch Daboll's interview and interaction with Jayden Daniels from Hard Knocks. It was fascinating and Daniels was impressive enough that Daboll said he was worth trading up for last year. The Giants traded up for Dart this year. Daboll, et al. believed that juice was worth the squeeze - and the cost - to get at #25. As noted previously, there are claims that Dallas had only 12 players with first round grades. Perhaps they only ranked 12 because they were picking 12th. Regardless, each team has a list of folks they are willing to (1) make a first round investment in and (2) borrow from the future to get in the first round. Shedeur was not on those lists, obviously. For many, I suspect that list contains fewer than 32 names. 32 will eventually get picked, of course. If Sanders is really as good as he, his dad and his sycophants believe, then it will be obvious and every other team will have missed out. And he'll ultimately get paid in 4 years, all while selling loads of "Legendary" swag.
  3. 995-ing has been good for Looch. He could go on a 2 year hunger strike and be just fine.
  4. Looks like their truck stop owner might have encouraged this pick. Or - someone outside of the frame of that video/
  5. With this roster of WR, why would you draft another?
  6. Injuries aside, he struggled with the deep ball and was not adept at stepping up in the pocket. Is that on Quinn or Sark? My guess is Quinn.
  7. Mertz did not even have a draft grade or projection from ESPN.
  8. Mertz: Ewers:
  9. I count 13 through 5 rounds.
  10. I follow Etan Thomas, former NBA player, on a social media site, and he continues to intimate racism. Goes so far as to say Sanders is better than Baker Mayfield and Johnny Manziel - and they were arrogant, too.
  11. McShay had him at 33. Jeremiah ranked him as #20, but the mocks had him at 21. nfl.com's Parr and Davis had him outside the first round. I gave up searching, but here is what I have.
  12. DOH! Despite following the first 2 rounds fairly closely, I forgot they drafted Dart. That's how impactful the Dart pick is to me . I'll edit.
  13. Sean Payton says teams will regret not taking Sanders. And warns them that Sanders will use the snub as motivation. Another friend of the family shilling for him. Payton conveniently does not need a QB at this time. 4th rounders earn around $5mm over 4 years and 7th rounders earn around $4mm over 4 years. These rounds are the low-risk way to take flyers on players. Giants are at 4.3; Raiders at 4.6; Steelers at 4.21. Given the financial risk, I can see Sanders being picked in the 4th. Giants and Steelers will likely pick a QB in the 4th and 5th - Ewers, Howard, Sanders will be picked then, IMO. Edit - doh! Giants drafted Dart
  14. I've read 3 things: "Tell me why I should be a part of your organization..." General arrogant attitude Ill-prepared when given situational examples - Brian Daboll reportedly said that While #1 and #2 are similar, #1 shows more entitlement than arrogance - and, yes, they are related. edited to add... I recently completed a job search. For each and every interview I did, I was prepared, interested, and treated the panel like it was the most important role to me. I answered all of the questions, did every followup, etc. You never know when you'll run into these folks again, so always treat them like they are the most important thing for you at that time. I believe Sanders did not do that and is not yet capable of doing that.
  15. Stanford prof/researcher wrote a book about this phenomenon.
  16. Did the same thing for the 2nd round. As expected the variance is far greater. And the coloring is skewed by some reaches and some over-rated prospects. Will likely not do this for round 3 Note that Pittsburgh converted pick #52 into DK Metcalf.
  17. most likely. and they will win more games with aaron rodgers - and his baggage - than with shedeur.
  18. Every player they've drafted so far - while sticking with Rudolph - gives them a better chance to win. 1 - DT Derek Harmon - agree 2 - no pick, but they traded it for DK Metcalf 3 - RB Kaleb Johnson - agree Sub any of those picks for Shedeur and the Steelers win fewer games next year.
  19. This consensus shows him as the #89 prospect. KC has 66 and 95 in the 3rd.
  20. Colts having a pretty damned good draft, so far, IMO. Tyler Warren and JT Tuimoloau.
  21. 7 through pick 45
  22. through pick 44 tOSU has 6. Texas 4 Mich 3 UGA 3
  23. "He has phenomenal genes." Let's assume he does. Let's assume he has inherited 100% of his father's genes (he has not). He certainly has not demonstrated the physical, emotional, or intellectual traits necessary to be a top-flight QB. And his dad has been his coach during his entire football life. DJT forgets that Shedeur also has arrogant asshole douchebag genes, which is kind of a turnoff for "the face of the franchise."
  24. The draft is bereft of QB talent and the financial cost of a miss at QB is relatively low. The real cost is the cost of missed talent at other positions. This is why NYG trading up to take Dart confuses me. To move up 9 slots - and draft Dart - they gave up #99 and 2026 3rd rounder, which I will call #80 (mid 3rd). That is #34 and 2 starters in other roles for Dart. NYG have Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston on their roster. I see platooning them as a better option than paying a premium for a mid QB. Some scouting reports said, "keeps his eyes down the field," and I chuckled. Yes he does - and it's not for the right reasons. He holds the ball too long and is always looking for the highlight play. HIs progressions are slow and he abandons them quicker than he should - then looks down field.
