  1. I'm forever chasing electrical issues on my C-10. Right now, turn the ignition key and sometimes the truck starts and sometimes nothing. Fiddle a bit with the wires coming out of the fuse panel and then it starts. Just haven't taken the time to determine which wire is causing me issues - I suspect one of them is shorting out. Every wire in this 55 year old truck has been spliced, split, or otherwise jacked with in one way or another. If I ever have the truck completely apart for painting, I'm installing a new, painless wiring harness.
  2. We were there as well. I think we started the game at home, drove down to ACL, and finished the game at the beer tent. With the 2:30 start, there will be many more people at ACL when the game is on this year, though.

Did you ask any questions? I didn't hear you. Just listened to the end and heard your question (you could also claim all of the Spanish questions because I just skipped through those). I'm glad you didn't ask anything stupid and make Rodo mad at you.
  4. Are you seeing Norah Jones at the ACL taping? I put my name in the hat, but I guess I didn't make the cut. I'll be at the soul asylum show.
  5. I'm not a small children, you're a small children.
  6. Stuff you can get your ass beat with.
  7. If you go to the Grand Canyon, stay in Tusayan which is right outside the park. You'll have more time to spend in the park and the ability to go back to the hotel if you want. We did a similar tournament a few years ago and did the Grand Canyon for a couple days before heading to Phoenix. We were there right at New Years and it snowed heavily at the park - so plan accordingly.
  8. Had the Burnt Bean pork chops for dinner and they were great. Moist, tender, and well seasoned. Pulled them out of the fridge, vacuum sealed, and warmed in some 132 degree water.

Aim For The Big, White Rectangle. I'd have white rectangles everywhere - the end of parking spaces, around doorknobs, at the front of the coaching room where the coach stands, urinals, . . .
  10. Are you wearing a pink hat? I'm pretty sure I saw you on hulu.
  11. Dropped by Burnt Bean Co Barbecue in Seguin on the way home today. Arrived about 10:35 and the line wasn't too bad. They open at 8:00 on Sundays for brunch, so the line was already moving. The menu is so vast, it's difficult to decide. To cope, we got food for lunch and food for dinner (and probably another lunch and dinner. Half pound of moist brisket, two pork ribs, and a baked sweet potato . . . and . . . the Casanova - huevos rancheros with brisket and barbacoa. Another half pound of moist brisket, two poblano and jack cheese sausage links, and two smoked pork chops to go. Everything we've had so far was delightful. Really looking forward to the sausage and pork chops.
  12. @CHIEF if you didn't give a eulogy, you should have. Beautiful words about a guy that clearly means the world to you.
  13. I'm blessed that I never had any issues telling people I stopped drinking. For a while buddies would ask if I still wasn't drinking, but not in an accusatory manner. I've more fully shared what led me to quit with a few people, but mainly people just know I don't drink anyone. Some buddies and I were regulars at a brewery tap room / coffee joint. Cold brew on nitro looks exactly like the stouts I used to drink - including being served in brandy snifter. I told one guy, about an hour into our meeting, that I'd quit drinking. He looked at my coffee like wtf. I'll say it again, i credit this group and this thread with me accepting that I had a drinking problem and ultimately stopping. Thanks again!
  14. I'd probably eat the hell out of that. From the recipe - didn't watch the video - I'd omit cocoa powder, tomato paste, and substitute water for beef broth. No way I'd go with jarred garlic. I did a large batch last year for a neighborhood event and the recipe called for beef broth. Beef broth affects the flavor too much.
  15. Hit Butter's BBQ in Sinton on the way to N. Padre today. Ordered the Mini Trinity with moist brisket, pork ribs, jalapeño cheese sausage, elotes, and tater tot casserole. Everything was excellent. Certainly deserving of a spot on the TM Top 50. Highlighting places like this is why I respect Daniel Vaughn and what his team does.
  16. That's quite helpful. I was trying to explain that to someone just the other day.
  17. I have a stock AM radio for my old truck. I had planned to have it converted to AM/FM with Bluetooth by this guy - stereo conversion. It is certainly cheaper to keep the AM radio as is and add the separate Bluetooth gadget.
  18. Evan LeRoy just announced that LeRoy & Lewis will be doing brisket and beef cheeks everyday as opposed to being just daily specials. Also, they will be open Wednesday through Monday.
  19. I made that mistake once, even with a Vitamix. Lesson learned.
  20. Likely after making a bad decision.
  21. Watching the news last night . . . should have seen the look when she heard the reporter mention the Toothy Rebels.
  22. It was a great evening. You and the band are legit. I really respect your work to keep the music around. The wife is now wanting to go to Germany for Oktoberfest - so that little show will probably ending up costing me thousands of dollars
  23. The glass of whiskey is either half-full or half-empty.
  24. After cheating death in 1959, Waylon seemed to be living every day like his last.
  25. I hate SEC Network + or whatever it is. I can only get it to work half the time.
