  23. My day started off the Kuerig giving up the ghost this morning. Yippee! Then I was surprised by some wasps who had made a nest inside the hose rack storage. Didn't get stung and they died. Jokes on the them. How's your today going?
  24. Jars just go into a box for storage until this time of the year. A batch of brine is 7 cups H2O and 2 cup vinegar. A batch is about 6 quarts of pickles, which varies due to shape and size. So, the short answer is it really isn't a lot. I'm gonna guess if I have enough cucs for all the jars (38 qts and 11 pints) you see, it will take about 2-3 hours. Other brine ingredients 1/2 cup pickling salt and 1/2 cup of sugar. Jars get a chunk of onion, peeled garlic, and dill. Sometimes a sliced jalapeno (or pepper of your choice) for a spicy jar. I used to wash golf balls the same way back when it was an occasional money maker as a teenager. It sure did make a lot of noise, mom disapproved. However, it was quicker and cleaner than the bathtub and shower. LOL.
