  1. I asked ChatGPT to describe the aggies as if it were Rod Serling introducing a Twilight Zone episode. Nailed it. "Imagine, if you will, traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of profound disappointment. A journey into a wretched place where the sports teams are perpetually mediocre, and the hope of a championship is merely a mirage. A universe where the Texas Aggies reside. They are a team with an insatiable hunger for failure, a thirst for losing, and a penchant for disappointment. Their misguided belief that they belong among the top-ranked teams leads to another season of heartbreak and shattered dreams. In the Twilight Zone, there is a maroon-colored vortex, and it leads to College Station, Texas, where only shattered dreams and crushed spirits await. Beware the Aggies, for they will leave you with nothing but regret and sorrow."
  2. Was at the game. Ewers was meh. Honestly the whole team was meh. My old man and I said to each other at one point that Tuscaloosa was gonna hurt. It was a spring game, so hopefully it means nothing, but we walked away rather unimpressed.
  3. Up by 12 and the offense stagnated. We deserve the loss. Jacking up 3s and hero ball instead of the extra pass.
  4. Who marked this down for a shootout? I would like more of a slog with our personnel.
  5. Jackin too many 3s. Gotta run the offense.
  6. Other teams' shots seem to go in with less frequency when they play our defense. Let's hope the trend holds.
  7. Whelp..... Purdue just fucked me in the ass. Enjoy my money, gentlefolks.
  8. Duke, St. Mary’s, SDSU, Mizzou, Michigan State, Kentucky, Indiana, Gonzaga
  9. Yes. He has the first prolonged stretch of staying healthy of his Longhorn career and we give him lucky number 13. This bodes well.
  10. Username checks out Edit…beaten to the punch!
  11. You’d think it would help.
  12. Weird borking going on. When in light mode it looks like the attached screenshot. Every menu open and unclosable, no content, borked. Switching to dark mode makes the site normal again. Problem is, not a dark mode fan. edit: only in Firefox. Shitass Chrome isnt having any problems.
  13. This is the post I was referring to. Seems legit. And I’m not hunting for screenshots. If it wasn’t 15, it was at least 10 and the gist of what I said holds. PK prefers to play too soft and it burned us this year and last.
  14. Good point. Although, does that make us Kent State and Mizzou in this scenario?
  15. Lord knows why, that’s what’s infuriating to watch. Listen, I don’t pretend to be the one bearing privileged information here. Some other poster mentioned that there was friction between GP and PK regarding the degree to which our defense should play press man vs softer coverages, among other things, and it jibed with the eye test this year. On big games, games where GP would theoretically be given time to prep and game plan for the big stage, such as Bama, OU, TCU, and maybe another that I’m forgetting, our defense looked like a different animal. Our corners were up in the other team’s shit, players were flying around making tackles like they knew what was coming, and in general the defense played more dialed in. On games that maybe we didn’t have circled on the calendar, games that GP was theoretically not as involved in while he prepped for the big ones, our defense looked like PK’s ‘21 unit. Soft coverage, general cluelessness, and giving up big play after big play in crucial moments. Not saying it’s the gospel truth, and it’s entirely possible that PK is the one responsible, but I’m going to need to see him do it without the defensive guru hire backing him up before I lean toward 2022 being more indicative of PK than 2021.
  16. That’s all on the table, for sure. Still, the 9th or 10th time I see our CB line up 15 yards away from the guy he’s “covering” on 3rd and 4 for an easy conversion, I’m going to lose my shit.
  17. I’ll buy that to an extent. Just going on what we saw in 2021 vs 2022, combined with the chatter from other posters who seem more plugged in, it seems like GP had a mitigating effect on some of PK’s more passive tendencies. The concern is that without GP around, maybe PK reverts to his preferred passive scheme without a bug in his ear about it and our defense looks like 2021 all over again. The hope is that you’re right and Patterson had little effect on the 2022 turnaround.
  18. Who’s trolling, dipshit? I said a pretty normal, surlyish thing about PK, and you came out of left field with some BS. I’m not looking up your “absurd” posting history, as I am completely uninterested. If busting in with random insults is your schtick, then by all means you do you, but don’t be surprised if others don’t take kindly to it.
  19. And you can fuck right off, Mrs. Kwiatkowski. It doesn’t look like your son will have his handler this year, so he better get his shit together. Get bent.
  20. Maybe Petrino found out he's not into motorcycles.
