  1. I had that problem after upgrading from Windows 7. It would drop out as much as 3-4 times per day, still connected to the WiFi but no internet. Disabling and re-enabling the adapter fixed it every time but was a pain in the ass. I got a USB WiFi adapter and still had the same problem. I tried a number of solutions I found online but none of them worked.
  2. The AG led the public to believe the grand jury rejected homicide charges against the officers on the basis of self defense. Turns out the grand jury was not actually given an opportunity to consider homicide charges and the only charges they were actually empowered to indict on was the charge against the officer who shot through the neighbor's wall. So rather than the grand jury rejected charges against the officers, as the public was told, the grand jury actually indicted on 100% of the charges that were presented to them.
  3. When the defendant is justified under KRS 503.050 to 503.110 in using force upon or toward the person of another, but he wantonly or recklessly injures or creates a risk of injury to innocent persons, the justification afforded by those sections is unavailable in a prosecution for an offense involving wantonness or recklessness toward innocent persons. Ky. Rev. Stat. § 503.120 The officers who shot Taylor would not be permitted to argue self defense against a wanton murder charge or a reckless homicide charge. Texas has a similar statute.
  4. I guess the failure to event present homicide charges explains why the grand jury purportedly found that self defense applied to homicide charges for which Kentucky law does not allow self defense to be asserted.
  5. I won $11.30 last week so definitely doing better than my Ally account so far
  6. I don't have any strong feelings about Prop A but if Gerald Daugherty hates it, it's almost certainly a good idea
  7. But it apparently was contrived since it turns out that athletes sticking around to sing with the fans has been compulsory.
  8. This has been inexplicably completely lost in this discussion. Even assuming for the sake of argument that the officers would have been justified in killing Walker in self defense, firing blindly into the dark and killing an innocent bystander is still homicide. You aren't entitled to assert self defense against charges or recklessly killing an innocent bystander.
  9. I saw it at Alamo a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved it.
  10. Runoffs are like specials in that they're all about turnout so I think the hope is for a reverse 2010 Scott Brown situation.
  11. "Well actually we're a Republic, not a democracy" guys might be the most insufferable douchebags in America.
  12. This is a good argument for doing away with prosecutorial immunity.
  13. What's wrong with wearing a skirt? You don't like a little breeze on your balls?
  14. It's criminal indictment, not a lawsuit. But yes, it's dumb as fuck. And unconstitutional.
  15. Their market cap has gone up $100 billion in the last 12 months. Things seem to be going incredibly well for Netflix.
  16. The Texas Rangers arrested the cop for murder. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2020/10/05/texas-rangers-arrest-wolfe-city-officer-on-murder-charge-after-fatal-shooting/
  17. That was just a regular (but yes, great for the time) movie theater that was killed by Gateway opening nearby. The Arbor people are talking about that shows great indie movies is across the street in the space that was formally the Great Hills 8.
  18. And it seems like Julie somehow didn't realize it even though at least two of them mentioned it. She seemed somehow shocked that they already knew it was a triple evection when she did the reveal.
