Lemme guess?????? Alex, I'll take .......Spiritual giant, self appointed sheriff of meeting protocol, fancied himself Bill W. reincarnate and then killed someone driving drunk a few hours after a meeting Now facing vehicular homicide and on the run to avoid paying the piper??????? Did I win? Seen a few recently I suspected were talking the talk but stumble-drunking the walk at the same time. Too much pride to admit they'd gone back out????

I don't believe the barber shop quote is made in reference to bars, but rather playing around the edges of the drink....i.e. near beer or NA beer. Eventually you end up in the chair where the shears are cutting. I go to bars, i bartend for friends and family, and I go to the liquor store for my wife. No issues....doesn't even cross my mind. NA beer however......I'm not touching it. No desire and not interested in testing fate. Non alcoholic beer is for non alcoholics. I don't have that luxury to spin that wheel of life so I won't. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. Very different than going to a bar and drinking a coke. Being in a bar isn't going to trigger my allergy. Some amount of alcohol will - how much I don't know and that's a Russian roulette game I'm not willing to play. Even 0.0% beer introduces a taste and romancing factor that might play on a mental obsession. I personally stay away from it. YMMV.

Time is the biggest factor (followed by food). If you can get your hunters and / or neighbors to let bucks age, nature takes care of itself. There are precious few places where when given 5-6 years to grow, bucks won't put on substantial bone. It becomes a numbers game. For every birthing year, there are a finite number of bucks born. Only a portion of those survive. Each year, nature and external factors further limit those surviving bucks. If you can take hunting out of the equation until they reach 5-6, then the odds of seeing a buck who has reached his potential increase substantially. If hunters are shooting the relatively low numbers of 3-4 year old bucks who make it that far, the odds of seeing one who is 5-6 are slim. Supplemental food can provide a boost to horn development, or concentrate deer away from non-participating neighbors. It also helps in 1st year survival rates which in turn put more bucks in the live/die lottery in subsequent years which helps the overall numbers game. The Hill Country of Texas is the classic example. In 60's-80's, the conventional wisdom was that Hill County bucks were genetically inferior and couldn't grow large horns. Fast forward to today when day-hunting has been all but eliminated and lessees are managing for mature deer. It is no longer uncommon to see 150"-170" low fence, pure genetics bucks take off properties that 30-40 years ago would be hard pressed to produce a 120" deer. Nothing has changed but the age of the average buck being taken. Feed 'em some and work to increase the age of the bucks that are taken in the area. Nature will do its part.

If you’re asking about my Chinet plating... prime rib / beans were from Coopers and what my group left for me in the fridge. Our trips didn’t overlap. Brisket scraps were vac sealed leftovers I had in the freezer from a Labor Day smoke.

We are. Construction distribution, engineering, and architecture. The distribution folks are letting people in. Engineering and architecture is case by case. Big firms with a lot of bureaucracy are still mostly locked down but the smaller firms don't care. Our manufacturers we represent are case by case - some are full speed ahead but a few are struggling - the "if you feel sick stay home" mandate is a license for production workers at big companies to hone their golf games or get ready for hunting season with PTO and their output is still way down. Office personnel who are working from home have checked out and response times suck. Lead times are 3x what they should be. It is an absolute grind trying to get product from some, while others (mostly smaller, closely held companies) aren't missing a beat.

Nice surprise showed up yesterday. Took about 3 months for the CMP to process the order and I had somewhat forgotten about it until FedEx Arrived. 1943 production Springfield Armory- gauges very good on the throat and barrel. Heck of a deal for the money and the few hoops through which you have to jump for the CMP.

Quit being insensitive and mansplaining this.......That water source was not alkaline. You can't expect her to drink that, especially when she didn't have her essential oils and crystals with her.

@cactusflinthead and @TwiceHorn give good advice. Getting out of one's self is a sure-fire way to reset some of those emotions. Anything to take my focus off me seems to dissolve most of my problems - they die of neglect instead of me solving them. In a 12-step setting I had a sponsor who had me go to a couple of grocery stores on weekends......Stores where people constantly left shopping carts scattered around. He had me walk the parking lot and collect shopping carts and put them back where they were supposed to be (with a smile on my face, forced or not). If someone asked why I was doing it, I was told to say I enjoyed it whether I did or not. Back a few years ago in another state, I came across a little old lady who regularly drove around with a broom and dust pan and stopped at convenience stores. She'd sweep the parking lots and then drive off. At first I assumed she was crazy and had some OCD compulsion, but after I sobered up, I came to believe she knew a secret to serenity. She wasn't crazy. I'm sure she's long since passed or is physically incapable now, but I regret not having spoken to her as I'm sure I could have learned a lot.

I have had good luck with Atlantic Specialty Insurance (Boaters Choice). Had a significant claim and it was a smooth process. Premiums were very reasonable and I did not get an increase or worse yet dropped after a claim. YMMV.

Agree on all points. Those are all effective in a limited area, and if done continuously. There are just so many areas where it isn't feasible, economical, or there is simply too much ground to cover that while it might help specific ranches, farms, or even communities; its winning a battle while losing the war.

I don't have any pictures, but have seen it when visiting him and its a 23hp mud motor on a 15 - 48 hull. Pretty nice. Yeah - For sure with a private sale, but this was a new, crated motor-only purchase through a dealer, drop shipped from the factory. Thankfully he worked it out yesterday. He bought the motor from a dealer and the title paperwork was supposed to follow, but didn't. Someone dropped the ball between the mfg. and dealer. Long story short, he finally tracked down the mfg. via social media when all the phone calls and emails failed and he thought they'd gone out of business. They have now mailed the proper paperwork.

Yep - I bet the AGI they are looking for is what is on the most recent tax return. I'm no CPA, but when something requires an AGI number they normally are referencing to the previous year's tax filing. Virtually impossible for most people to provide an AGI for the current tax year midstream. I'd try and verify the year in question and then consult with a CPA for the correct figure. She certainly doesn't want to err here, as not only might it cost her money, but trying to correct it later would typically be a pain in the ass in dealing with the SS Admin. -
Every little bit helps to stem the tide, but recreational hunting alone will never get it done. Those sows start having litters around 9-12 months of age and average 3 litters per year. It's an exponential growth curve and unless science comes up with a way to break the breading cycle, hunting can't stop it. Their ability and willingness to go nocturnal and / or to move into urban or inaccessible areas where hunting isn't as easy makes that impossible. They're the mammalian equivalent to fire ants.

Now, I will concede that if Tom Herman said this, it is cause for termination and voids his contract's buy-out provision.

Understood. My comment was based more on the headline in the OP that started with "RACIST" and stated that it was embarrassing for the University. In cases where something is not overt, but instead fairly nuanced, I believe that context does matter and must be considered before passing judgement. The question of whether or not the the University should reconsider gifts and/or naming rights is valid. As is viewing the comments in context instead of in a vacuum.

Found it. You are correct and there is a form for use with both boats and / or outboard motors. He's going to file that paperwork and try to sell it locally in TX. If he can't sell it quickly then I'll step in. Thanks.

I'm having a hard time understanding the outrage and fallout with this one, especially in the context of all the other things we should certainly be addressing. Advertising by its very nature is dependent upon identifying and targeting "types of people". I see what he said, and understand that anytime an old white guy says "black" the microscope comes out, but what I "hear" in the words is "Hey, Motel 6 caters to rural rednecks and this might be focusing too much on African Americans." If you run that thought through an old white guy's brain (especially one who's been watching the news and has the white supremacy lingo bouncing around in his mind), it comes out of his mouth as "this commercial is too black to appeal to Motel 6's white supremacist clientele." Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd be one to tap the brakes here before I storm the gates with pitchforks. Without further context, this seems to be a poor choice of words for use in 2020, but might not merit tarnishing an entire career.

Question for the boaters - My nephew is in TX and has a duck boat with a mud motor on it. When he bought the motor (separate from the boat), the mfg in LA did not ever send him the paperwork so he could properly title it in TX. He has no actual title for it. Since then, the mfg has become non-responsive and may be out of business. I'm considering buying it from him to help him out of a financial jam but I'll need a title to transfer and register it. Is there a way to go through the process of titling a previously untitled boat motor in TX if there are no supporting documents other than the original receipt of purchase?

This- send photos and lot numbers to the mfg! If they have any customer service at all they will refund/replace and ask for the bad kits back for QC. Edit- and +rep for an 1100 410. I need that in my life too. I’ve been stalking some older ones at auction but haven’t rung the bell yet.

I have a really hard time aging deer off a property without being able to see other deer with which to compare or some benchmark. That being said, he looks to be in that 4.5 -5.5 range. Certainly not a 3rd year deer and no sign he would be over 6+. He's certainly got the necessary tine length to be +160. That's where your inches are in most TX deer since mass isn't a predominant trait like it is in northern bucks. Beautiful buck!

I carry Rage Trypan for deer/exotics and G5 Montec fixed blades for shooting hogs. Because those fuckers are so loud, I always have plenty of time to switch out my arrow to the Montec when hogs are coming. Montecs are tough broadheads and I can hunt with them for a couple of years and run them through several hogs before I replace/lose them. I don't even sharpen them....sometimes I don't clean them. They still do the job. I've killed deer with the Montec too and they perform well, but the blood trail is no comparison to the Trypan. Normally it looks more like a crime scene than a tracking job.

I've never had a problem with mechanical. I started shooting fixed blade before mechanicals were the thing. Even hunted with some outfitters in Illinois who forbid mechanicals in the early years due to problems (real or perceived) in the early models. The fear/concern/experience was that they didn't expand reliably and caused lost deer. That's long since past, especially with the newer generations. I can tell you that the Rage 3 blade versions have created some of the most incredible exit wounds and impressive blood trails I have ever seen. I would have no hesitation using (I do) or recommending any of the major brand mechanicals to anyone. They are wicked. Looks like someone slowly poured a gallon of blood from point of impact to the recovered animal. Fire away.
