  1. This is a very good take, and likely accurate. Porter isn’t a terrible croot, but he’s overrated as a result of a great self marketing campaign by attending all the big camps. He also wants to commit in January and even if Texas does have a spot, it probably won’t be open in January. I also don’t think he has the frame we want for edge, he’s more interior DL when you account for growth. Texas has moved on IMO.
  2. IF that were true and those numbers are even close to accurate by half, then I really think the world needs to consider taking on a larger role and quickly.
  3. Joke is on you CTJ, I’m going to have a Taco Bell Mexican Pizza and shit myself in agony regardless of transfers.
  4. Smaller pool to compete with. In Miami they will be big fish in a smaller but still pretty large pond. In California it’s just another set of blondes.
  5. Those chicks will make a shit ton of money in that move to Miami. Good move career wise since they will be going pro in something other than sports.
  6. Sometimes a cool video on how tech is used within the football program can just be a cool video on how tech is used by the football program. Not everything on here is a state of the football union address or a media fluff piece on how we’re winning it all.
  7. If only Mack hadnt been so decisive about turning an elite spread Texas offense into some sort of bullshit halfbreed I formation 90's Alabama offense we might be on a different trajectory. I also don't necessarily agree that Sark hasn't done anything different to fix known issues. His 22 recruiting class and transfer additions this year seem to close many but not all of the current and future roster holes. If the defense blows yet again this year and PK comes back for the following season, then I think you might be on to something. Maybe the killer attitude can be developed from a sense of confidence if we have a great season or two. I'm going to hope for that in one hand and shit in the other and throw whichever one fills up first at my aggy neighbors front door. I just hope he doesnt run me over in his car for it.
  8. In an effort to not re-reroute the entire thread into a speed discussion for a potential transfer - I fully retract my statement that his speed did not show up on that 90 second clip of highschool film. He is the fastest kid alive. He's a gravity defying superhuman bolt of lightning. He makes Carl Lewis look like Carl Winslow.
  9. He may be and I hope he is. I just dont see it on the hs tape is all outside of what looks like one kick return and one long bomb. My evaluation should be caveated that my experience in coaching and identfying football talent is limited to 6 and 7 year olds in flag.
  10. First impression after not watching a single college snap of this guy - Tom Herman would have loved this cat. Tall, good catch radius, body control and hands. Really only shows speed in one or two of those plays and doesnt showcase alot of good route running. Probably a good complement to Worthy/Whittington/Neyor and likely a better option than inconsistent Marcus Washington or a one legged Trey Omeire.
  11. Retirement homes in Ecuador and Cameroon - Bob Stoops goggle search history
  12. Owens is good friends with some DL recruits that may be going to take a visit to Michigan St as a favor to Coach Jordan. None of these kids are seriously considering MSU, but they are fond of their former trainer turned college coach and likely throwing him a bone.
  13. Going to South Lake Tahoe this summer for a few days. What are the tables like at the old Hard Rock?
  14. This is true, or at least was at one point. Had a coworker about a decade ago that put his in ice cream. Super cringe. Left that company about a month after I found that out for unrelated reasons, but hiring someone like that is a good indicator that something’s wrong.
  15. How deep is the water where this ship sank? Good diving spot in a few years?
  16. Yes, this appears to be the problem. If he had put the car in neutral, gotten out and popped that kids ass with a ruler in front of his friends, lesson learned, no one dies, everyone goes home and this isn’t a story. #procorporalpunishment
  17. This sounds prettay prettay good. Nice work. Is this enough to overcome the substantial non-NIL NIL promised to entice recruits at aggy, or at least level the playing field?
  18. the question mark on whether he would be a really good recruit or an elite level recruit coming into his senior season wasn't pass blocking, agility, or size. It was aggression and want to in the run game. Here is but one small example of how that went:
  19. unless it's Justin Fuente, of course. Projecting success for coaches is hard, even with all the inside information that someone like CTJ has. Forecasting failure is quite a bit easier, and as noted, was immeditately obvious with the staffing hires of both Strong and Herman. I dont think Sarklossian made immediately obvious bad initial hires like the other two dipshits (though PK may turnout to be that). Otherwise, I see zero reason to date to have hope for Texas being a national contender because of Sark, but perhaps we can do it in spite of him with generational talent like QE, Bijan, Banks etc and a modern offensive gameplan.
