  1. I think it’s pretty obvious at this point that elected officials should not be able to plead the fifth and keep their job. Avoid self-incrimination? Yes. Stay General? No.
  2. As a combo, I’ll take Beck and Humphrey over Sanders and Whitt. Sanders can be a liability in the run game. Beck was knocking fools down and is still in the NFL. And Humphrey was an elite slot and able blocker there. And regarding our current group of receivers, I’ll take the 2018 group. They were reliable and pretty dominant. They got open, caught balls, and put up big numbers. In the Tom Herman passing game and with Ehlinger at QB. And although 2018 Duvernay was not yet the 2019 version, Worthy has a long way to go to approach elite level where he consistently gets open, has some sort of catch radius, and holds onto the ball when he does track passes. He’ll be a slot receiver in the NFL. If he doesnt get more consistent and prove himself, he’ll be a Day 2 pick. While they came through last week, it was another game where Texas receivers were outplayed by their counterparts. Thats been pretty consistent against decent competition since Duvernay left.
  3. Not insane as you placed a caveat yourself on crowning the 2023 group. That was a talented secondary - Brandon Jones, PJ Locke, Kris Boyd, then all the young guns who were better their freshman seasons. I’d also hold off anointing the running game. Havent seen much yet. Ehlinger/Ingram were pretty solid at what they did. I also like Andrew Beck / Humphrey over Sanders / Whit overall.
  4. I’d argue 2018 (unsuccessfully) That year the secondary was loaded, so much so that we went dime much of the time. I’d also take the trio of Lil Jordan, Collin Johnson, and Devin Duvernay. It’s a sound argument until you get to the 2018 defensive line. On one side you had Omenihu and 10 sacks, on the other, you had Breckyn Hager playing with one arm.
  5. He also got obliterated by Dallas Turner lined up by tackle on 4th and short.
  6. Sounds like he’s moderating a talk show
  7. During the ALDS series between Astros and Red Sox where they both knew they were stealing signs and made 10-12 pitching changes, I checked out. Between pitchers taking an extra 15 seconds to “load up”, shaking off signs, pitching changes, and various junk grabs and spitting, MLB determined what real fans liked and sought to shorten games. The best films are tighter and dont have wasted scenes. But even the best like Scorsese do it.
  8. Quinn Ewers - Brutally Bad Touchdown Passes
  9. Good >Ewers, especially 2nd half. I was skeptical on his pro prospects. Looks like 1st rounder. >Texas D. Ethan Burke over Ovie is a massive upgrade. Anthony Hill looks like a beast. >Competent officiating. It’s jarring to see and makes the games much more enjoyable. We’ve endured 2 screw jobs a year for the last decade. Cant wait to get out of this chicken shit outfit. >Bama fans leaving early Bad >Hands. On both sides we dropped and tipped balls >J’Tavian Sanders. Hear me out. Dude must be accounted for in the passing game. But his missed blocks cost us a touchdown and a 4th down conversion. >Our secondary looks slow in coverage. Ugly …
  10. Fansville usually delivers. And they cracked the code: cast smoking hot chicks but downplay their attractiveness a bit
  11. /impeachment trial That should just about do it. Why waste any more time?
  12. In the brutal 4.5 OT Thanksgiving game loss to Tech, I wanted less football. 4 hours is too long. Golf is great. 5 hours to play 18 holes sucks. See how it works. But are there just longer commercial breaks?
  13. First ever Longhorn game. We were way way upper-deck.
  14. We need an updated GoodFellas “Layla” montage
  15. Have to admit I didnt get the song choice at first.
  16. Think we need to go metric system. 37 sounds a lot better than 100. Gotta think positive.
  17. There was a tv writer talking about his pilot being audience tested. With laugh track, people loved the show a lot but their number one complaint was the annoying laugh track. Without laugh track, they still liked the show but not as much. Thats what we’re dealing with with the sound and distractions. They think we need this. Maybe we do, but its bullshit. Not every game needs to be 10/10.
  18. Sound was fine inside luxury boxes.
  19. Veto to who? Veto to what? The justice fairies of college football? We just played a game at 230pm with the field temp of 170 degrees. To make a stand would mean taking less money. Now, we’re going to the SEC where we’ll continue to get bent over by yokels who are hate us and want to make UT a thing in Knoxville.
  20. Here’s a clip from yesterday’s 2nd AC/DC song
  21. It goes to 11. Whole parts of the music were crackling because it couldnt handle it. Total bullshit. Why the best gameday experience is at the Cotton Bowl.
  22. Good >Students at start of game. Even the olds showed up >Defense was sound >Moist co-eds Bad >Deep balls >Officiating. 1st and 48 to avoid the cover. >Oline with a draw against Rice >Receivers not getting open against Rice Ugly >Why even have cheerleaders or the band? >230 kick. Hot as balls! >Decibel level of sound system is just a notch below the sound cannon that subdues The Hulk.
  23. What, they couldnt afford Jar Jar Binks?
