  1. Barbie’s a hit! Lets do more toy movies Ignoring Greta Gerwig’s vision to do something different and casting Margot Robbie and Gosling. Oppenheimer’s a hit! Which scientist is next!!! Lets do Faraday or Marconi! These suits cant wait to AI this shit, not realizing it could mean the end of their industry and open up themselves to global competition.
  2. Mitch McConnell and Diane Feinstein are on it
  3. Young generations, especially post atomic age, have pushed for social change.
  4. Gotta have a Celebrity Bible Bonkers
  5. Both siders are usually one siders
  6. If you’ve watched reality shows, its pretty normal to see non-actors act ridiculous. He probably was thinking it was just that.
  7. One my company’s consultants leading our strategic planning openly advocated for Trump earlier in the 2016 primaries. I was shocked that a retired Army Colonel could be so gullible. This is a man lecturing us on processes and strategy and he’s taken in by a conman who can barely read. I’m less and less hopeful we’ll have a chance to look back at this time period and laugh about how bad things were.
  8. 50% of zero is still zero. According to tax filings the man has lost more money than anyone ever on the face of the earth. She’s not gonna get his slush funds.
  9. Saw poll today: Biden 43 / Trump 42 Unbelievable. We’re fucked.
  10. She was an anti-establishment wild child who was DTF. It showed why she was really really in to him, maybe she was a spy, maybe not, maybe a little. She was very sexy and lathered up and rode him like a pony. All captured in graphic detail, demonstrating what his wife had to endure. And it was different. Really intimate scenes, with interesting dialogue. It added a whole bunch and I doubt it was included for jollies. I could totally see why he would conduct self-destructive and duplicitous behavior and still care for her. The sex scene and nudity made perfect sense to me. And, for authenticity sake, she did not have a perfect body or bolt ons. She was intense. And raw. She should earn an Oscar nod.
  11. Thanks Poindexter. We appreciate your contributions. Yet, Victorian principles and values continued to impact English-speaking culture into the 20th century. Reds rebelled against prudishness and traditional marriage.
  12. I thought it was a bit convoluted, but he was “given a choice”. Then it became a motivating factor for Hayley’s character and redemption. So, probably not unnecessary.
  13. The visuals of a nubile Florence Pugh demonstrated why he risked it all in a toxic relationship. But beyond that, it demonstrated the allure and revolutionary thinking of the time, the romance of being a Red juxtaposed against the victorian, straight-laced mainstream society of the 30’s and 40’s. But mostly, we got to see Pugh all nude and sweaty in IMAX.
  14. Raiders is a better film, a landmark in motion picture history, lapping existing action flicks, winning four Oscars. More menacing and thrilling. Last Crusade the more enjoyable movie. Great prequel sequence with River Phoenix, dropped Sean Connery in there, really snappy and funny dialogue. But lets stop all this best of the OT talk. There’s an amazing movie, then a bunch of sequels, one of which was very good.
  15. For GQP, making it hard recruiting top talent is a feature not a bug. Now they can better place loyalists and friends and family in faculty and prestige positions.
  16. Your conclusions are all wrong
  17. I think the score was used as a crutch. Very loud movie and it used silence to jarring effect. The man’s a genius, but I think 4-5 scenes didnt need it.
  18. Really interesting movie. Saw it last night after ignoring this thread. Good >Every performance. Surprisingly Matt Damon might have been the weak link but I sensed he got some scenes cut. Probably gonna see 4-5 noms. Took me awhile to figure out that was Josh Hartnett, who was very good. >The pacing was amazing as was the bomb sequence. >Florence Pugh. Good gravy. >Truman scene. Wonder if that happened that way. Bad > I can see they left out a whole bunch of stuff, but it was already a 3-hour movie. Think the Lincoln comp was decent. That this was more about capturing key pieces mostly over 3 time periods and more about Opp than the bomb. Ugly > Really went overboard on the soundtrack. Constant blaring. It could be more noticeable in this flick, since there was more dialogue than a Dunkirk for example.
  19. Twitter was a very helpful tool for journalists and activists. It was a bastion for Western-style democracy. Regretfully, it’s also vitally influential over our economy and stock market. Fracturing it was a vital step for fascism and individual nihilists. Due to his ties to foreign money and authoritarian governments, Elon Musk should not have been permitted to purchase (and now destroy) this company. Even this site is dependent upon this company for breaking news.
  20. wife dragged me to see flea bag Good >Opening set pieces in Germany and NYC >Fan service, ending worked >Mads talking scenes >De-aging, scary good Bad >Flea bag reprises scrappy doo role from Mutt >Clunky dialogue. Flat too often. >CGI was uneven. Spectacular at times, but a lot of obvious green screen and schlock >Needed de-aging voice >M’eh storyline >Nazis!!! like 2 dozen times Ugly >Runtime. Morocco should have been cut. Nearly fell asleep by this time.
  21. New thread title when he gets the GOP nom
  22. Son, and I'm just going to tell you this one time. You want to keep posting here, stay off the drugs.
