  1. Or they'll engage in the other Russian tradition and go ahead and shoot them from behind.
  2. I'm pretty sure the UK pretty explicitly asked European politicians not to deal with their problems.
  3. Are we really wondering if the people that stuffed and/or pickled Lenin couldn't come up with enough taxidermy supplies to have an open casket funeral?
  4. When they make it Nebraska I will
  5. I'm with you in wanting my cheese and sausage separate. Gives you the chance to use much better cheese.
  6. Doesn’t appear we have a thread for this. Any other enthusiasts here? Besides family recipes, do you folks have a commercial preference? I usually buy Wimmers if I’m getting store bought, but will branch out. My back up lunch always is a summer sausage, smoked cheddar, and horseradish sandwich on a Kaiser roll.
  7. As an add on to this at Max output the US can ship in 10 days what Ukraine does in a month, and in 12 days what Russia can do in a month.
  8. Also our export program will be out of position to ship significant wheat soon as corn and soybean harvest ramps up. Bigger forward issue is Ukraine crop will be down significantly this year because of war, and you are very not likely to have good potential for winter sown crops there on aggregate for next year unless things change fast
  9. Am I wrong in thinking that this will end up being a way for Russia to Dien Ben Phu themselves here if they just consolidate and then get cut off around the plant?
  10. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/18/technology/dan-price-resign-social-media.html I wonder who the twitter algo will spam at me next.
  11. Another entry for this would be that my older step-sisters first husband died when he returned to the feedmill he worked at and died because he went into the office area that was being fumigated at the time. (This is generally speculated to be a suicide but no confirmation of intent exists, his dad, sister, and brother all killed themselves so it’s kind of accepted he did too.)
  12. I guess I should mention that my Great Uncle was killed over DFW in 1995 in a mid-air collision when a student pilot was screwing around and hit his cargo plane.
  13. My Aunt and Uncle who live by Giddings, had a neighbor killed a few years back when his bush hog threw a wire through the back of his skull. I had a neighbor growing up who rolled a tractor into a pond, and was pinned with survivable injuries except he couldn't get his head above water and drowned before the tractor could be pulled off of him.
  14. If they could part my uncle out successfully, I feel like they can do a lot with a little in this case.
  15. So after the Kansas vote last week, Nebraska's thumb of a Gov. scrapped a special session on abortion because he didn't have the votes in the Unicameral to do shit.
  16. https://www.1011now.com/2022/08/05/four-laurel-homicide-victims-identified-suspect-hospital-with-serious-burns/ They caught the guy in his home with severe burns. Victims were an elderly couple and 55 year old daughter, and another 53 year old woman. In non-shocking news the suspect wasn't actually a black man traveling through rural Nebraska as originally report, but a local who lived on the same street as the fires.
  17. https://www.1011now.com/2022/08/04/nsp-four-dead-two-crime-scenes-laurel/ A town of about 1100 people had 4 people killed in two separate fires/explosions overnight. Suspect is at large. (I would take the suspect description in the article with a massive grain of salt) I can’t thing of many arson killing sprees off the top of my head, will be interesting if anything gets solved here.
  18. I went back and looked it up, and the UNL guy was Latvia’s head of gov’t prewar, but I think it works out about the same
  19. That election will be re-run this fall too.
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Estonia already leaning pretty Fascist pre-war? There used to be a plaque about their President pre-war outside my office at UNL since he was also an Cornhusker alum, and they were pretty vague about things.
  21. I'd assume that pressure bursting pipes is something that they will be completely unable to deal with.
  22. Plus in this you have the great shots of the Jolly Rogers markings too
  23. Probably fuck’em outside Limon, in Eastern Colorado too
  24. Is there a route to do it that is more interesting than others. I’ve done it before but just got on I-35 at Ft. Worth and got off at Waco. I’d like to go visit my family at Giddings, and while we both live just off US77 several states apart, every so often I like to go Archer City because of my deep fondness for the McMurtry novels set there, and am curious what the most interesting way across is?
