  1. When I was in Thailand in Jan of 2017 they were doing the formal mourning of the king with long lines to file past him, where he was still sitting in the throne kept upright with a stick shoved up his ass as our guide explained to us. I'll assume the British don't go this route.
  2. I see it was covered already. The media here is starting to publish the open secrets that were flowing about town on Frost now. Will see if that picks up more in coming days.
  3. Ranchers might not be, but cattle feeders certainly love their stuff up here.
  4. Also he works for the AD who hired him, and has a long good relationship with. I think the AD/Coach relationship is something that gets ignored too much in looking at who will jump and who won't. Same deal with Campbell at Iowa State.
  5. Do you know what margins are on a bushels of corn right now?
  6. I hope NU will call the winningest head coach born in Lincoln, one Lane Kiffin, and see what he has to say.
  7. At least Mickey Joseph has a personal score to settle with the Sooners for maiming him in 1990, so it would be the perfect opportunity for something bad to happen to OU.
  8. Maybe the analogy is more that Casey Thompson will throw for 6 touchdowns to Marcus Washington against Georgia Southern tomorrow.
  9. Some symmetry in that the last coronation, and the next will both be amidst war induced rationing measures.
  10. Or Venables still has some old Big 8 scores to settle, and keeps his foot on the gas if given the opportunity.
  11. Or they'll engage in the other Russian tradition and go ahead and shoot them from behind.
  12. I'm pretty sure the UK pretty explicitly asked European politicians not to deal with their problems.
  13. Are we really wondering if the people that stuffed and/or pickled Lenin couldn't come up with enough taxidermy supplies to have an open casket funeral?
  14. When they make it Nebraska I will
  15. I'm with you in wanting my cheese and sausage separate. Gives you the chance to use much better cheese.
  16. Doesn’t appear we have a thread for this. Any other enthusiasts here? Besides family recipes, do you folks have a commercial preference? I usually buy Wimmers if I’m getting store bought, but will branch out. My back up lunch always is a summer sausage, smoked cheddar, and horseradish sandwich on a Kaiser roll.
  17. As an add on to this at Max output the US can ship in 10 days what Ukraine does in a month, and in 12 days what Russia can do in a month.
  18. Also our export program will be out of position to ship significant wheat soon as corn and soybean harvest ramps up. Bigger forward issue is Ukraine crop will be down significantly this year because of war, and you are very not likely to have good potential for winter sown crops there on aggregate for next year unless things change fast
  19. Am I wrong in thinking that this will end up being a way for Russia to Dien Ben Phu themselves here if they just consolidate and then get cut off around the plant?
  20. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/18/technology/dan-price-resign-social-media.html I wonder who the twitter algo will spam at me next.
  21. Another entry for this would be that my older step-sisters first husband died when he returned to the feedmill he worked at and died because he went into the office area that was being fumigated at the time. (This is generally speculated to be a suicide but no confirmation of intent exists, his dad, sister, and brother all killed themselves so it’s kind of accepted he did too.)
  22. I guess I should mention that my Great Uncle was killed over DFW in 1995 in a mid-air collision when a student pilot was screwing around and hit his cargo plane.
  23. My Aunt and Uncle who live by Giddings, had a neighbor killed a few years back when his bush hog threw a wire through the back of his skull. I had a neighbor growing up who rolled a tractor into a pond, and was pinned with survivable injuries except he couldn't get his head above water and drowned before the tractor could be pulled off of him.
