  1. If you won't pay a QB 100K that could lead your team to the playoff, you need to get out of big boy college football. I wouldn't bame the kid if he was offered 100K and demanded 250K. I've seen coaches leave before the season was over because it was in their own financial best interest. I am fine with players doing the same.
  2. There is an FSU alum who is an attorney, Doug Rohan, who is doing the podcast circuit. He is insisting that, to save the ACC, ESPN is going to go above & beyond their contract and throw in more money just for Clemson & FSU to stay put. I remember when there was talk of the SEC wanting to go to 9 conference games, but not doing it, because ESPN didn't want to pay more for that additional SEC inventory. Can someone explain to me how ESPN sees the same amount of ACC games being more valuable than additional SEC conference games (with an SEC that now includes Texas and Oklahoma).
  3. Texas 34 ULM 31 Cole Lourd 240
  4. I agree. The argument pro-FSU people are making is this, the less valuable propoerties (the schools that won't get an offer from the B1G or SEC if the ACC goes away) are better off taking the financial hit of unequal revenue sharing than the $10 million/year payout of a lesser conference. However, schools like Miami and NC (and likely the politically tethered NCSU) and maybe Virginia would also go to the B1G or SEC if the ACC melts down. Not only is there no reason for them to take a financial hit to preserve the conference, there is every reason for them to demand the same $ as Clemson and FSU. That means an even bigger haircut for the other ACC members (and this is amplified because there is barely anything to take from SMU). I think we are reaching the point where it makes more sense for the remaing schools to flip everyone the bird and to plan on splitting the buyout money of those who eject. I still have yet to hear a cogent argument on why ESPN wouldn't want to exercise their option to extend the ACC GOR, which further complicates things.
  5. You seem to know alot about health and medicines and the body and stuff. Let me ask you something....my stepdaughter is almost 1, and she can barely finish a Four Loko without throwing up. Should I have her tested for ADHD?
  6. This is the key to everything. ESPN will renew the deal and keep the GOR in place. If FSU & Clemson leave for the SEC, ESPN has to pay more for their home games. If they leave for the B1G, they lose this value content all together.
  7. UM is really small. The alumni with the fat wallets went to UF.
  8. What happens during the 9 days?
  9. Normally I would agree, but I don't think that matters with this team.
  10. Dude is transitioning. So brave.
  11. It is a miracle that you are alive, considering all of the well-armed psychos who decide to die from "suicide by gym manager."
  12. I agree. Everyone is talking about this like a trap game. Everyone is poised to say, "I told you so" and to beat their chests about the Michigan D and the Big House and facing the defending national champs. To go into a situation like this where everyone is hoping for, and talking themselves into, Texas taking a stumble, and to come out with a convincing win, would scare the **** out of the entire country. I am convinced Sark and the team are ready for this moment.
  13. It would be so much better if we had a drone video of the entire trip. 3/10, would not watch again.
  14. If you have a concern, you must believe the Michigan short passing game has some capacity to hurt us in the shallow middle. What is the foundation of this belief? The abortion we saw last Saturday? Michigan has one QB who has barely played football (because of cancer & covid) and a running QB who would be starting if he was 50% of DJ U. No matter who starts, he will be playing behind a new o-line comprised of 5 guys who have only started last weeks games. We know they will run and use the TE. Just because OU and UH did something last year doesn't mean the worst QB group I can remember Texas facing (since we steamrolled OU 49-0), behind a brand new o-line, can do the same.
  15. This is the whole deal. We are going to stack the box and blanket Loveland with LBs & Safeties. We are going to force Michigan's disgrace of a QB room to beat us. Every talking head gets nervous about the 7 1/2 point spread (which isn't moving) when making their prediction. Everyone thinks Michigan can score with Texas to keep this close, but no one can articulate why they think this. Unless QE gets the yips and is firing INTs all over the place, do people really think the Michigan D can account for 2 TDs? Michigan has to get to 24 points or more to feel good about things and I don't think their one-dimensional offense can do it (since we know what is coming).
  16. I have a sneaking suspicion this trash will be the 4th wife of the Louisiana shoe-painter who was trolling these forums for business.
