If sark and this team win 9-10 games next year, it’s going to change the recruiting landscape. It’s nice to see a staff of actual ducking recruiters. Most of these kids had completely written Texas off. I’m actually quite surprised to see us be a big player for Banks, Anderson, Dewberry, Stewart, Thompson. Add that to the OOS players that want to play in his offense, it’s going to be fun. I feel like an aggy saying this but the best thing to happen to this program in the last few years is Sark putting on a coaching clinic on Ryan Day in the national championship game. All these other bitch ass programs want to keep Texas down because he fucking cherry pick the players in state when we win. I feel optimistic that Sark is going to be the guy.

I'm going to break my computer screen. I don't know what pissed me off more... terrible decisions in the ou game or going for it on 4th down against ISU when a FG would have made it a 7 point game putting all the pressure on ISU to score a TD with little time left.

Lol, when the game is out, you'll need to put your money where your mouth is. We can bet on it, but you'd probably just prefer to fist yourself.
-
From the limited youtube clips of him throwing in camps, the first thing you'll notice is that it looks like he has cinder blocks tied to his feet. He's slow, I don't think that is going to change. As long as he can drop back and put the ball where it needs to be, his speed won't matter in Sark's offense.

Murphy has clearly been a kid in the camp system in Cali for a while. He's been working with trainers and QB coaches since he was in middle school probably. I believe his rating has to do with him out performing his peers in the camp settings and based on what the people that have coached and trained him are saying. He's big and has an absolute cannon of an arm. He's done well in camps and is normally the most accurate QB in these settings. He's also slow, has terrible footwork, and has no actual game film. I say take him and shoot for the fucking sky with his potential. Lastly, Hudson Card had no game film with the exception of like 1 game when we took his commitment. It was all based on how he performed in camps and from the people coaching him. They obviously are not the same prospect but the people that work with him, have good things to say about Murphy.

Look, I like BC. But you guys are stressing waaaaay to much. We just landed a borderline 5 star RB in Blue and are leading for 5 star Stewart. Our recruiting is looking better and better with Sark and his team in place. He’s replaceable. There are tons of dudes that can connect to recruits. Brandon Harris is a great example and probably had a bigger impact with recruits last year than Carrington. Banks is probably the best recruiter in the country and will be the lead guy for most of the big names. BC’s role here was going to get diminished now that we have coaches that are willing recruiters and excel at it.
-
I’ll say this much, when watching his footwork, it looks like he has 50 pound weights strapped to his feet.
-
He’s been camping and working with trainers since he was a kid. He’s ranked the #2 pro style QB because of his arm and accuracy. He’a still very raw but I actually thought he looked pretty damn accurate in his game film. Sark has also been recruiting him for a while.

That article just confirms that literally no one likes Tom Herman. And it confirms that CDC is a fucking moron that gave him an extra year when it was clear recruiting was heading in a bad way. Th faster Texas rids itself of CDC, the faster his program will be to getting back to the top. That doofus has no clue what it takes to compete with Bama, Clemson, tOSU.

Dude I would put Harvin, Rainey, and Demps all on the field at the same time. All of those guys had like 98 and 99 seed. I'd run verticals on the outside with slants over the middle and audible the RB to go into the flats. It would be unstoppable.
-
Are we going to get a surly league started when the game comes out? I remember pulling 14 five star recruits to the likes of UH or Rice in a single cycle. I'm ready to dominate you guys both in recruiting and with my bad ass play calling.
-
no, fuck them.
-
Just lock this thread. The kid wants to go play in the shitty big 10. We’re going to get a badass qb under sark that’s going to put up badass numbers and then we’re going to whoops Ewers ass in the CFP and make him forever regret being a little bitch and going out of state.

Thompson looked 10 times better than Ehlinger in the one single half against Colorado. With that said, Colorado is fucking terrible and they clearly had no game tape of Thompson. Jerrod Heard looked like a great QB at one point until teams figured out he would only throw to one side of the field. Thompson has now had 3 years of the best QB trainers and 3 years of being in a D-1 program. With his work ethic, I wouldn't be shocked if he won the starting job convincingly. From the limited game film, his footwork footwork and mechanics looked great. He went through his progressions better than Sam and he's got great speed for a QB. I also don't think Card transfers if he doesn't win the job this year. He's going to get to learn under Sark and take over this offense. He has to be looking at how well Mac Jones played while learning as the back up under Sark and then starting. It would be foolish of him to transfer. I also just watched Malik Murphy's highlights. He's a huge QB. Dude has a cannon for an arm and can throw some bullets. He' pretty accurate with his throws on his limited highlights and camp videos. With that said, his footwork looks terrible and he has a slow wind up. If Sark can fix those problems, he's going to have a literal monster at QB at his size with one of the strongest arms in college football. He physically looks like Cam Newton.

With regards to Troy Omeire, I didn’t believe the hype really until I saw some of the practice videos. Collin Johnson has pretty good hands and usually made some acrobatic catches and TO21 looked even better in those clips. Those are NFL type catches. He doesn’t have elite speed but the dude has is big, elite hands, body control, and was abusing DBs in camp. His recruitment was puzzling because surly shit on him after his slow 40 time but LSU, Aggy, and Texas were after him hard. After that junior season it came out that he was injured during that camp and most of junior season but not sure how true that is. Anyways, put me in the camp that he’s the real deal. It wasn’t just the coaches, but the players, Ehlinger seemed to think he was damn good. Dude put Eagles on the bench on the first week of college practice. Some players are just different. Whittington was the same way. He was better than anyone on the offense his first week of practice. Too bad he can’t ducking stay healthy. Between TO21, Whittington, Smith, Moore, Dixon... the staff has some good WRs to work with. The rest are JAGs.

I have no idea but I'm guessing Herman is probably going to take some time off. Dude got paid at Texas so he can retire if he wants to. He's not a bad coach and once was the hottest coordinator in college football. He will go through the Saban rehab program. I think right now, he probably needs some self reflection. Dude has a huge ego and it was one of the many reasons he was fired here. Imagine being a CEO and being forced to go through an etiquette program because you act like a cunt. He needs to look at Sark as an example on how to truly change. With that said, Sark was never an asshole, just a drunk. Not sure if Herman can change that part.

Who is the dude playing next to Bryce on his team and who is the dude playing next to Mylinski? Not the same situation.
-
My point is that on a shitty high school team with shitty players, his high school coaches thought there were better players on the team to play center and protect the QB. Both Shack and Majors played tackle in high school. You know more about football than me but we can both agree most high school teams will play their best OL at LT.
-
His offers are from schools where his dad has a connection. I’m sorry, not shitting on a kid, but there’s a reason the big time schools didn’t offer him. He plays the easiest position at his high school on the o-line. If he was that good, he’d be starting at center or tackle. I’ll eat crow if he ends up being a high draft pick. More than likely, he’s a maxed out high school player whose dad has good relationships with o line coaches in college. He’s not in burnt orange anymore so doesn’t really matter and the coaches didn’t seem to blink an eye or bothering calling him when he decommitted. That should tell you where he stands on their board.
-
Lol, Mylinski doesn’t even start at tackle on his own high school team. Pretty sure his high school team didn’t win a single game. This was a fucking terrible lazy take and would have been a waste of a scholarship.

I 100% agree. It’s exciting to see where this can go. I’ve followed college football my whole life and I’ve come to learn that most college coaches are idiots. Most of these guys would probably never get into a school like Texas. The reason I’m making this point is that these coaches sometimes make this job harder than it is. In today’s college football, you need to 100% do the following. Only a few programs can offer you the opportunity to do this and Texas is one of them. You do the following and you will compete for the CFP. Kirby Smart, who is an idiot, has proven this. 1. Hire a team of good coaches and recruiters. Sark has done this. 2. Don’t be a dick to your team and recruits. Sark seems to be very likeable. 3. Let the coaches you hire do their jobs without meddling. Herman struggled with this, Strong seemed oblivious to anything and everything on this end. Sark stated in his interview that the biggest thing he learned from Saban was to let the coaches do their jobs and not to try to do everything yourself. 4. The most important aspect. Recruit the biggest and fastest guys. You will win 90% of your games in college football by simply just having better athletes. Put your best players in space and give them the damn ball. Herman couldn’t do this. He stuck to his stupid system and played favorites. Strong didn’t have the players. That roster he inherited may have been the worst in the history of Texas football. Just do those things above Sark and you will be a legend here, I promise you.

With regards to Milwee, I'm guessing he's basically Sarks 2nd set of eyes and ears. He's probably going to be the one in the press box relaying what he sees on the field to Sark. He was a record setting QB wasn't he? Also called plays and did very well right? From the sounds of it, he's probably extremely bright, understands Sark's system very well, and probably gets shit done. I think I read a report elsewhere that he's probably going to be the one running the meetings when Sark isn't there. Sark probably trusts him and it's probably why he was the first coach that was confirmed by the reporters when Sark took the job. If I were to guess... Sark will call the plays. Milwee will be in the press box relaying formations, personnel, tendencies. Flood will handle the blocking schemes.
