  1. @ztejas I should have clarified "jersey chasers who actually succeed in reaching girlfriend status" as in this case. At that point, I don't want to hear about dude navigating troubled waters, he chose to keep the relationship going. Obviously we barely have any details on Charles' case right now, this is just a general discussion
  2. Sigh, I thought this board had gotten much better about the victim blaming. It's a Longhorn so we all want him to succeed. But the vast majority of times the athlete skates through this with some public embarrassment, while the girl has to rebuild her whole life. Y'all love to talk about jersey chasers who have the cray, as if there aren't twice as many entitled alpha pro athletes who have never had to learn how to manage a relationship, always have other options and don't hesitate to show off their strength by putting hands on a woman. Not saying that's Charles - just that it's stupid to pretend it's the athlete who is being attacked in these cases.
  3. I'm no expert, but is it possible 44 is set back enough to make Kittle eligible? (not covering him up). And that block as shown is only one yard downfield so I think that's legal too.
  4. Time for another round of "Handle it internally" vs. "We care about women" Beard is a good example of, whatever happened, if it's enough for her to call police, then it's enough to keep you off the field/court for a while. Even if he apologizes, she recants, etc. Yes I'm an Eagles fan, but I'd say the same if it was Fletcher Cox
  5. Lol I have the same thought. Everyone's like "it's following the game perfectly!" and I'm like "are you sure you didn't accidentally pop in a DVD, because this is a movie".
  6. People love sports and don't wan't to just "check out". As keysphonewallet said in his self-titled thread, many are "born into it." That thread also would point out that for UT football to swim in the abyss so long is at least as frustrating. The Horns aren't at the mercy of one narcissist owner.
  7. Purdy vs Hurts: Doubt next week will have this many points...how did ISU receiver not hold onto ball for the win
  8. Eagles fan, I think most of us just can't root for Dallas even though they would be the preferred opponent as we try to return to the Super Bowl. I prefer the Cowboys stuck in this wild card level state for eternity, so actually making it to next week would be a disturbance in that force. My guess is the Eagles would be around a 3.5 favorite over DAL and like a 1.0 over SF, but a lot depends how tonight plays out.
  9. Nowhere near the FB experience, but it's publicity
  10. Dallas would host NYG so that's kind of a no-brainer
  11. I'm not a gamer so I have to treat it as simply a TV show. The preface and 2003 stuff was really well done. After that I just got Fear the Walking Dead vibes. Yeah we get it, the true enemies are the surviving humans. Cast and reviews are good enough I guess I won't bail just yet.
  12. City have gone more than 135 minutes without a shot on goal despite 70+ percent possession. I know that's always a Pep thing (and some was playing backups in Carabao) but it's been bizarre. Not getting any kind of decent looks, and of course allowing the occasional meaty counter-attack the other way.
  13. Division winners are home for sure. There could be re-seeding among 5-7 if there are any upsets, but this weekend's winners are all going on the road at least for Jan. 21-22.
  14. And their fans! Looking at the bright side, we were about to coast into the 1 seed as a team with no major flaws. Now everyone in the building knows we: can suffer key injuries; can turn the ball over multiple times; can be put in horrible positions by the coaches. If Daniel Jones plays, he's crafty enough to put up enough points to beat the Eagles, even with Hurts back (and probably a little rusty).
  15. Minshew got spoiled going against Dallas D last week. Saints don't give up many passing yards. And their nickel and dime offense can be effective with a double digit lead. Really need Jalen Hurts to play next week at NYG
  16. I don't know the letter of the rule but yeah it went well behind the LOS and was contacted by a UW player then UT fell on it
  17. This movie BTW is pretty entertaining. Towards the end it gets overly predictable. I was half expecting Smith to have a "welcome to earth motherfucker" moment with Foster and it's not far off from that. Some of the plantation and war scenes are really well shot and disturbing.
  18. Fillmore Philly balcony is clutch. I don't mind crowded floors, but I can't be showing up 30 minutes before the opening act and trying to keep my spot for 2-3 hours. Plus my wife is short so if she's gonna see we have to upgrade to a seat upstairs. Wish I lucked into tix to War on Drugs at tiny Johnny Brenda's, that will be incredible
  19. Feels like the Fiesta a few years ago when Clemson put the 31-0 on em
  20. Just the ideal backup who can step in and beat pretty much anyone. Can't believe teams keep letting him go
  21. Fluky game all around. Not worried about the Eagles yet. In the NFL, it's really hard to win when you know in the back of your mind, a loss doesn't hurt you much. Especially a division game against a team you already beat. Nothing really notable about this, other than I agree with some above that Heineke wins where Wentz would not have.
  22. Can't be mad at the Phillies. I wasn't expecting to devote so much time and energy to watching baseball the last 3-4 weeks. After 12 years not doing that, it's pretty exhausting.
  23. Yeah, did he think UF would somehow score while taking a knee at the +27 yard line? Had to pin them back to do it
  24. Those crowd misery shots, including the App State shirt, are some of the best work ESPN has ever done
  25. Cancelo blatant foul/red card in the box allows Fulham to tie City 1-1 in 29th minute. City will be shorthanded for 60 minutes
