  1. If it wasn't 8-1 Bellinger makes that catch.
  2. csb - back when I worked for an IBM business partner, there was an IBM'er that everyone said was gonna be the next CEO of IBM. Young guy but not too young, looks good in a suit (NTTAWWT), tall, well spoken, typically gregarious. Sales guy of course. We're at a company golf outing and he's there and I see that he has Longhorn headcovers. So of course, I go over, tell him I'm a Longhorn too, ask him when he was there, if he'd been back to Austin lately, all that stuff you do when you see a fellow Horn. He basically gives me the silent treatment, mumbles a couple of responses. I think, whatever dick, you think you're better than me, piss off. FF a couple weeks he comes across my LinkedIn feed and his degree is from UT-D.
  3. Is Tom Herman a coach of uncollege football?
  4. Just a hunch, but I think there's a reason why it's the way it is.
  5. Agree on UMC. Church of Christ seems low at 50 tho, so maybe that balances out.
  6. They did it again. Does someone need to hit a trashcan to let Gurriel know that it's coming in low?
  7. I dunno, Chief of Staff is a pretty crappy job, at least traditionally, regardless of who is President. That's why most of them don't last more than a couple years. You gotta make sure all the bs the boss spouts gets done and usually don't get a lot of visibility. Hard to say where he'd be a fit. OMB maybe, technically not a cabinet post...well, neither is CoS. VA maybe but that's a crappier job than CoS. UN Ambassador?, again technically not cabinet.
  8. The ump doesn't know if he called a ball or strike?
  9. I really wanted her to say "there's a fly on your head" in the same tone as the woman from NYU tells Kramer "your fly is open."
  10. A class at UT was harder than a class at OU? NO WAI!!! I too thought it would be an interesting, near blowoff class. Mine was in RLM too as I recall. Dropped it after day 1.
  11. Anytime someone misspells HIPAA as HIPPA I immediately know they have no idea what they're talking about.
  12. He’s wearing the same clothes from yesterday, sans tie and perhaps pants. Couldn’t get anyone to bring him a change of clothes. Family probably rifling through his stuff taking anything of value, including drugs.
  13. Actually, I just figured out why he took the chopper. One of the symptoms of COVID is...diarrhea. He can hold it for an 8-10 minute flight, but a 20-30 minute car ride is problematic.
  14. Yeah that's what I'm saying. He's not coming out there. He's going out the back door [insert surly joke here] and being driven to Reed.
  15. I think Marine One is a ruse. As someone posted above, it's not even fired up. They are sneaking Trump out some other way, he will be wheeled out and taken via ambulance. He doesn't want to be seen like this.
  16. My money is on Kush to make this statement.
  17. Boris Johnson very nearly ended up on a ventilator. And he's 20some years younger than Trump.
  18. Well, saying he has no comorbities is a 100% accurate statement.
  19. The focus this time is because "Macho Man" was recorded by one of the first openly gay bands, led by a Black man. To say this runs counter to the 'values' of his base would be the understatement of the year. The only other song that's gotten significant attention is "Fortunate Son" by Creedence. The antagonist in that song is a...fortunate son. It's as if his folks don't do any research or listen to any of the songs before playing them. Shocking, I know.
  20. For some odd reason, he comes off like he likes us.
  21. Joe needed to hit back with 'at least I didn't cheat on my SAT's'
  22. shush.
  23. Duvernay!
  24. This might belong in the 'trivial things that make you surly' thread, but I hate it when a map is not oriented north-south. Yeah, I get it, there's a compass in the bottom right but still...
