Flight disrupting assholes Thread of Shame.

This fuckstain needs to die a painful death. I understand the mom agreeing to the plea deal but fuck this asshole. He needs to die, now. https://slatereport.com/news/father-who-murdered-his-three-young-sons-execution-style-weeps-in-court-as-he-listens-to-his-wifes-heartbreaking-letter-and-is-jailed-for-life/ A father who lined up his three sons and shot them dead will spend the rest of his life in prison after accepting a plea deal. Chad Doerman, 33, admitted to killing his sons Clayton, 7, Hunter, 4, and Chase, 3, when he was arrested on June 15, 2023, in Monroe Township, 20 miles east of Cincinnati. Doerman initially faced 21 charges, including nine counts of murder, and the plea deal took the death penalty off the table. His then-wife, Laura Doerman, told the court she approved of the plea deal, which removed the need for her to re-live the murders during a trial. ‘I am in full agreement with how the criminal case was resolved, and the decision to end this criminal case with a plea and multiple life sentences brings some finality to the court case for my daughter and me,’ she told the court through a victim advocate. ‘No punishment will ever bring my boys back. Having a guarantee that he will spend the rest of his life behind bars is what is best for my family. ‘Remember them as the three little boys who loved fishing, go-carting, and swimming. Remember them as the little boys who were always at the baseball fields or running around outside. Prosecutors have previously claimed Doerman planned the executions for months. Doerman lined the boys up before fatally shooting them with a rifle, also injuring their mother when she tried to protect them. Chief prosecutor David Gast said during Doerman’s arraignment that one of the boys tried to flee into a nearby field but Doerman ‘hunted’ him down and brought him back to their home before killing him. Another call came from a passing motorist who said a girl was running down the street saying her father was killing people. The deputies found three boys outside the home with gunshot wounds and tried to save their lives, but the children died at the scene. Haunting police bodycam footage shows the moment officers arrived to find Doerman calmly seated next to his rifle moments after executing his young sons. Doerman was detained without incident after he was found on the steps of his Ohio property. ‘I ain’t gonna hurt nobody,’ Doerman told arresting officers as he told them that his dog wouldn’t bite them. ‘Shut up, dude. You have the right to remain silent. F**king use it,’ a deputy tells him. ‘He just snapped,’ Keith said. ‘There was something going on in his life that he couldn’t handle no more. I can’t talk to him, they aren’t letting me talk to him so I don’t have any answers. He probably hid a lot of stuff from me.’ Detective Michael Ross said Doerman said during an interview that, ‘The Bible says you kill your first born, you kill your second born, you kill your third born. ‘But first you’re supposed to kill your wife. I didn’t kill my wife.’

For the LA Olympics, since there are so many homeless, maybe we can launch them instead of clay pigeons.

Wait...we have underwater dancing and gymnastics floor dancing with a twirly thing. I guess this bullshit was inevitable.

This bullshit is a precursor to adding a Talent Contest to the Olympics. Cannot be any worse than the bullshit posted above.

Barton Springs dude was in June 2013. I watched the a life guard perform CPR on the guy. I remember that day because it was the last day of school for AISD. I took my middle school daughter and her friends there after school. They saw the body as he was being pulled out. They saw the CPR attempt. The pool was closed shortly after. https://www.statesman.com/story/news/2013/06/07/man-pulled-from-barton-springs-pool-remembered-for-positive-attitude/9998887007/ The life guard who later died was in 2016. https://patch.com/texas/downtownaustin/austin-ems-medics-respond-two-barton-springs-rescue-calls-one-day-0 I remember him standing next to the other life guards while one of them performed the CPR on the Barton Springs guy. -

I was there when they didn't save a dude. Well, I guess the life guards performing CPR on the side of the pool constitutes as trying to save. The dude drowned in the pool 15 yards directly in front of the life guard stand. Oddly enough, one of the lifeguards on duty at the time later drowned in Barton Creek. -

Tre is wise beyond his years. Great video. Show's what kind of person he is but it also give great insight to the team culture that Sark and the players built. This program is built to last. I truly believe that Sark will retire from the UT head coaching job of his own choosing many many years from now.

Damn, dude had a brother competing in the same event and was running around looking for his brother. Video won't like me share at specific time but fast forward to 1:18 of the video. Talks about the brother and the absolute negligence by the "lifeguards". This is going to cost them. -

Damn, this is going to cost them. Supposedly a bystander tried to jump in and help but was turned away by a "lifeguard". Whose life was he guarding, exactly? Also, the dipshit "lifeguard" was within 30 yards of the victim. https://www.whiskeyriff.com/2024/08/08/crossfit-games-athlete-lazar-dukic-dies-from-drowning-moments-before-crossing-finish-line-in-tragic-video/ -

I would've assumed it was the Panchos Buffet. https://local12.com/news/nation-world/explosive-trap-toilet-restroom-arson-multiple-injuries-after-man-sets-under-seats-in-public-criminal-firework-explosion-bomb SAN ANTONIO (WKRC) - A man was arrested after he was accused of planting multiple explosives under toilet seats in public restrooms, resulting in several injured people. On July 20 authorities responded to a report of an explosion in the bathroom of the Wash Tub, a San Antonio car wash. The arrest affidavit said a security camera caught a suspect entering the unisex bathroom. When the next person entered and used the restroom, a small explosion occurred. Authorities reported one woman was injured by the incident, but she left before an official report could be made. Less than a week later on July 26, a different location of the same Wash Tub chain reported two more explosions. The first explosion injured an employee, and the second injured a young girl almost immediately after. The responding officers found small commercial fireworks designed to ignite under enough pressure beneath the toilet seats. Authorities also said the man caught on the security camera, who was identified as 46-year-old Paul Moses Alden, would remain in the building after leaving the bathroom. He would allegedly watch the bathroom door and leave the area once the explosion occurred. Alden was identified by employees from the Wash Tub, who said he was a regular customer and even had a membership card. Alden is being charged with arson causing reckless damage or bodily injury. -

Is poisoning your rival considered cheating? https://www.chess.com/news/view/russian-chess-player-suspended-after-allegedly-poisoning-her-rival Amina Abakarova, a 40-year-old chess coach from Makhachkala in the Russian Republic of Dagestan, is accused of trying to poison her rival, 30-year-old Umayganat Osmanova. The incident unfolded during the Dagestan Chess Championship on August 2, according to a Telegram channel that first reported on the story, and is now making headlines in state-run Russian news media as well as reaching global media as well. Security camera footage shows the incident where Abakarova calmly walked over to the board where Osmanova was supposed to appear 20 minutes later. It was reported that she'd previously asked if cameras were in operation and been told that they weren't. She then smeared what is said to be potentially deadly mercury from a thermometer. Osmanova said she began feeling unwell 30 minutes later, complaining of nausea and dizziness, prompting an immediate call for medical assistance. Doctors eventually concluded that poisoning was a likely cause. After reviewing the footage from security cameras, the arbiter reported it to the police and Abakarova was detained, rtv1.com reports. Osmanova described her ordeal, saying she felt "terrible, disgusting, and morally depressed" when she realized she had been poisoned. She said another player and a member of the organization also became ill. "I still feel bad. In the first minutes, I felt a lack of air and a taste of iron in my mouth. I had to spend about five hours on this board. I don’t know what would have happened to me if I hadn’t seen it earlier," she told Russia Today. Amina Abakarova is suspended after she allegedly poisoned her rival. Photo: Department of Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs of Makhachkala. Abakarova has reportedly confessed that she wanted to "knock her opponent out of the tournament," admitting "personal hostility" toward Osmanova, who had a week earlier won the Dagestan Rapid Championship above her on tiebreaks. The plan was not to harm Osmanova, but to scare her, according to a police report quoted by Russian media. Abakarova has now been detained by police and is facing up to three years in jail, according to The Mirror. Andrey Filatov, the President of the Russian Chess Federation, has also confirmed that Abakarova is temporarily suspended from Russian chess events, pending an investigation into the incident. She is potentially facing a lifetime ban. Dagestan's Minister of Sport, Sazhida Sazhidova, is also shocked: "Like many others, I am perplexed by what happened, and the motives of such an experienced competitor as Amina Abakarova are incomprehensible. The actions she took could have led to a most tragic outcome, threatening the lives of everyone who was present, including herself. Now she must answer for what she did by the law." Despite falling ill, Osmanova fully recovered and continued the tournament, eventually finishing in second place and winning a prize. Abakarova was expelled after the fourth round and is unlikely to play chess again anytime soon. Crazy bitch. I'm betting there are a few on here who would. Dat ass. -

Idiots and money... https://www.torquenews.com/11826/im-trying-sell-my-tesla-cybertruck-18000-loss-i-cant-seem-find-buyers/amp I’m Trying to Sell My Tesla Cybertruck For $18,000 Loss, but I Can’t Seem to Find Buyers A Tesla Cybertruck owner reports that spooked by the falling Cybertruck prices, he decided to sell his vehicle. However, it appears he is struggling to offload the vehicle, even at an $18,000 loss. Pedro Hans is a Tesla Cybertruck AWD owner. After taxes and fees, Pedro paid $110,000 for his Cybertruck. Following this, Pedro has added modifications to his Cybertruck, including a complete wrap and full window tint that cost approximately $6,000. However, to Pedro’s surprise, although his Cybertruck cost him around $116,000, he is not able to find an interested buyer to take the truck off his hands. After listing his truck for sale on Facebook Marketplace, Pedro writes, “Well, we’ve already lost $12k. We paid $110k. Going for $98k or lower now 🤦🏻♂️Massive depreciation. I’ll be lucky to get $60k in April.” Pedro listed his Cybertruck on Facebook Marketplace for “$98,000, or the best offer.” However, even though he listed his Cybertruck for $18,000 below the total $116,000 he spent on it, Pedro doesn’t appear to be getting buyers at this price. For anyone who has closely followed the Cybertruck secondary market, this is shocking and emblematic of a wider trend in the Cybertruck world. -
Could microplastics be the cause of a rise in cancer in young people? https://www.ft.com/content/491d7760-c329-4f57-9509-0da36bc9e7de Now, scientists at the American Cancer Society have confirmed the trend across a wider range of cancers, with statistics broadly suggesting that a Gen X or Millennial is more likely to develop certain types of the disease than her Baby-boomer parents. Half of the 34 types studied showed a “birth cohort effect”, meaning they are increasingly common among successively younger cohorts. For pancreatic and kidney cancer, for example, the incidence rate among those born in 1990 was two to three times the rate of those born in 1955. Hyuna Sung, an Atlanta-based epidemiologist at the ACS, teamed up with colleagues to dig into American cancer registry data on more than 23mn people who were diagnosed with 34 types of cancer between 2000 and 2019. The researchers also drew on registries recording over 7mn deaths from 24 types of cancer over the same period. The data was sorted according to birth year, with patients grouped in five-year intervals from 1920 to 1990. Previous research by the ACS and other groups has found evidence of several cancers — including colorectal (or bowel), pancreatic, kidney, gallbladder and testicular — rising in the under-50s. Sung and colleagues found that same pattern writ large. Among the new conditions trending upwards in younger generations are cancers of the small intestine, liver cancer in women and anal cancer among men. In some cases, death rates tacked upwards with incidence, including for colorectal, liver (in women) and testicular cancers. “These findings are sobering as they indicate the increased cancer risk in younger generations is not merely an artefact due to more frequent cancer detection and diagnosis,” Sung told me. “Instead, it points to a genuine increase in cancer risk at the population level, with the increase in incidence being substantial enough to outweigh improvements in cancer survival.” Bafflingly, many of the new clinic’s young patients are in good shape, exercise regularly and eat healthily. That is prompting a hunt for environmental carcinogens capable of affecting entire generations. Last year, New Zealand researchers showed that microplastics, now found everywhere and ingested from infancy onwards, could disrupt the gut lining. The prevalence of microplastic pollution since the 1960s — the tiny plastic particles come from consumer products and the breakdown of industrial waste — has the right timeline and might explain the compounding effect between generations, but it needs further investigation.

I asked the same and got responses up thread. Was there for a month in the mountains in between Golden and Boulder. I played... - Fossil Trace (twice) - Must Play - Bear Dance - Must Play - Arrowhead - Must Play - Indian Peaks - Decent course if you are in the area and can't get onto the top 3. Walkable. - Westwood - Avoid. Most par 4 tee shots are 200-220 yards. Very short course. Walkable. - Flatirons - Avoid unless you need a cheap quick round. Walkable. Most everyone I played with suggested Colorado National as a must play. I couldn't make it work but will play there the next time I'm in Denver. I really liked Fossil Trace, Bear Dance and Arrowhead. Those 3 will be on everyone's recommended Must Play list.
