  1. That was one of the first points I saw when I turned on the match. A point that would have otherwise given Kyrgios a break point opportunity, no less.
  2. Just turned on the Serena match. These two can both rip it.

I played growing up, but probably played a dozen times the last 15 years. I moved to Austin a couple years ago and one of my buddies has been getting into the sport so I've started playing a lot more. Wife just surprised me with a Babolat pure strike so I can finally hang up the 20+ year-old Wilson whatever that probably hasn't been regripped or restrung in a decade. Can't wait to try it out.
  4. I did a Portland, Columbia River Gorge (before some dumbass kid burned down the Eagle Creek Trail with fireworks), Bend, Crater Lake, Oregon coast, Portland road trip with the now-wife about 7 years ago. It was incredible. I don't know how we fit that all in 8 days. Crater Lake is mesmerizing.
  5. I went there in 2013 for a game against Wazzou. I got drunk off of aggy tears (and four loko) watching the texas a&m Manziels snatch defeat from the jaws of victory prior to the Ducks game, so it's all pretty hazy. They wore pink helmets and the people around us seemed to tolerate three drunken Longhorn fans who were at their game for some reason. I have no recommendations, but here's a picture. Hope that helps!
  6. If I wasn't so pissed about immigrants, student loan forgiveness and wokeism, I would definitely think we should direct some attention to this whole climate change thing. But alas, bigger fish to fry at the moment...
  7. China is experiencing a taste of what we all have to look forward to And before you come here to post "Hey, the Yangtze River is still there, NBD!", EuroHorn, lowest levels in recorded history seems kind of significant.

Sweet, I'm going at the moody center in a couple of weeks.
  9. Perhaps it's a step on the way to making things catastrophic instead of apocalyptic. Obviously we're not going to avoid consequences, but limiting them is still important. Would have been nice if we started taking this shit seriously, oh, 30+ years ago.
  10. They are definitely a group of people who also think they know everything because they are really good at one (albeit very important) thing.

Goal #2*** So much action at that end tonight. I had hardly watched a soccer game outside of the world cup until attending a couple games this year, and now I try to at least record each game. And goals in person are so fun to experience.

I was in GA tonight. That was a good time. This was the corner prior to goal #1. Driussi's game-winner was awesome.
  13. And just like that, rain chances cut in half for Austin the next couple days. Cool cool cool...
  14. When our lease is up in a year and are looking to buy, I may be pushing my wife to look out of state as well. Living here is a beating politically and weather wise. In related human-destroying-planet news, we managed to kill off the world's largest freshwater fish. Something that 140 million years of natural disasters failed to do.
  15. Any chance Biden announces he is not running for reelection prior to the midterms to possibly generate some excitement on the D side? Fair or not, an unpopular octogenarian in the executive can't be pushing many democratic candidates over the line in November.
  16. Yea, we try to give him a good feeding right before bed and at his first wake up. Last night was his worst night in a while though. Fortunately, neither of us are back at work yet so we can take the day to recover. But even so, that shit wears you out.
  17. Little guy is almost to 8 weeks now. I did not think a task as simple as washing bottles could get so old, so fast. We're going through a bit of sleep regression already. After a short stretch of only 2 wake-ups per night, he has a single 3-4 hour initial sleep and then is up every 90 minutes or so after that. We've got a snoo, so I guess I'll try and let it soothe him back to sleep for 10-15 minutes before grabbing him. Thoughts or advice on lengthening those sleep segments?
  18. Keep it rolling right up to November
  19. Just willingly walking into the furnace with satisfied fucking smiles on our faces. We really aren't worthy of being the dominant species on the planet.
  20. It really is sad that we these absolute nutjobs can now garner enough power and influence to be legitimately scary and not just a laughingstock. We shouldn't have to take this dipshit seriously, but alas...
  21. I believe the concerning thing is all the election truthers running for office where they have a say in how state elections are run. They don't have to be members of congress to royally fuck things up.
  22. Oh I do that as well, but our doberman starts to get a little stir crazy when she's been stuck inside for 12 hours.
  23. I remember playing sports outside all summer long as a kid. It's too bad my little one probably won't know what that's like.
  24. I am looking forward to my 99-degree dog walks beginning at 730 pm rather than 8.
  25. I will bet against the coast. Speaking of the coast, which city population drops below 250k first: Miami or New Orleans?
