  1. I didn’t get to follow things closely today but I am curious what the cry me a River bridge situation looks like. I think it would be a great time to hit somewhere else near the rail line right about now.
  2. Feels like we’re getting close to capitulation. Either that or we’re going over the ledge. Who fucking knows.
  3. Todays was legit hard. Wordle 480 5/6 ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬛🟩⬛🟨⬛ ⬛🟩🟨🟨⬛ ⬛🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  4. So I’ll put this review in the book nerd thread too, but I read One Soldier’s War by Babchenko over the past week and it’s a horrible read. Not in the sense that war is horrible, because that is known and has been brilliantly described in books like Storm of Steel, The Face of Battle, All Quiet, with the old breed, etc. It made me physically sick reading the book. Torturing soldiers ( that’s not fucking hazing), killing and eating dogs multiple times, stealing anything they could, literally allowing themselves to get sick, drinking contaminated water, you name it, if it’s disgusting and depraved they’re doing it. I can’t recommend the book as I kind of wish I hadn’t read it. It is that awful. The only book that has induced the same reaction off the top of my head was the Rape of Nanking.

  6. Apparently Elon is about to lawyer up for Logan Act violations. Shit is about to get really fucking visionary.
  7. Sorry I’m down to 100 shares just so I can pretend to play. I did sell all my PBR ahead of the runoff in Brazil. Collected a 25 percent yield in a few months. It’s just too risky until Lula wins the runoff.
  8. EOSE really tempting me by dropping to 1.50 AMYZF really needs a kick in the ass to get and stay back over 0.5
  9. It informs his entire worldview. Short answer is yes. And he has no one to tell him he is fucking up by doing this. His only hint is China and India backing away, but even then he is viewing it through the lens of the US forcing them to through coercion.
  10. Lol this stupid game. This is worse than peewee.

  12. This is a hilarious cripple fight. I love to see it.
  13. I’m glad Bama is this incompetent. It will make the aggy meltdown even better.
  14. Aggy sucks. Bama just sucks less. Milroe is turrible.
  15. Yeah I was talking about ones for large projects, that can take a while to repay. The interest rates on those are killing project margins to a point the pro forma doesn’t pencil. Think double digit interest rates, with serious penalties. Then weigh the risk that the project doesn’t occupy/produce revenue because of market conditions and all of a sudden it makes no sense to build. So right now everyone is entitling projects then putting them on hold.
  16. From one of the more expert commentators on the war:
  17. Not a structural engineer, just civil, but I think the upper portion of the rail bridge is fucked until they can replace beams. Steel doesn’t need to melt to lose its tensile strength, and once that happens the concrete is doomed as soon as any tensile force is applied. I think the roadway is easier to repair because it looks like the deck slid off the piers. The big question is what if the piers are compromised? That is a months long repair. Short summary, that bridge is fucked. US army corps of engineers would be able to do something quick but they are bad ass at this kind of stuff. Russia, what engineer doing?
  18. One of my favorite things about Eastern Europeans is how they have absolutely no filter on their thoughts:
  19. Try it and let us know how it works out. Unfortunately you have collateral.
  20. Hell I’ve thought about it before. She wanted to buy a ton of AMC when it was sub 5 dollars and I laughed at her. Jokes on me.
  21. If you’re in acquisition you may already be there. I cover the spectrum from early feasibility to finished lots and different people have different risk tolerance. Elgin is a pretty annoying place to work honestly. Only place I prefer to work less is unincorporated Travis county, but it pays way better. Construction loans appear to be the main deal killer right now.
