  1. Acuña hits a Grand Slam then Gausman can't even pitch to save his job, now the lead is a run.
  2. Yeah, the reason is that they hold basically no control and have little means to move up.
  3. I've always thought of this as just some pain we're going to have to be willing to endure so that the working class is no longer held hostage by board members who only care about profits above everything else.
  4. Oh yeah, Acuña is still good!
  5. Patriotic farmers reminds me of a certain nation that praised its agricultural and industrial working class.
  6. Been a few years now since I moved, but good lord does this look like one of the worst gerrymandered districts I've seen. Hope Wendy crushes this dipshit into dust, his margin of victory was very slim in 2018.
  7. Pete always looks like Fred Couples with his haircut.
  8. Love, LOVE the honest GOP that doesn't discriminate at all.
  9. So Warren is bad because she's pro-union and labor rights? Got it
  10. Have you been asleep the past couple of years? Tucker has done this multiple times, he has correctly identified the support for economic populism and class consciousness, but he's doing it because he realizes the GOP is doomed to die if they don't adopt some similar platform (which Trump more or less did during his 2016 campaign, but of course never acted on it).
  11. May have already been posted in the DACA thread, but I need to scream about this here. GOP Voters: LEARN THE LANGUAGE IF YOU COME HERE!!!! Also GOP Voters:
  12. Riley hitting that home opened the flood gates too, Donaldson and Freddie hitting them.
  13. I assume Message Board User is all for increasing taxes on the wealthiest, completely dismantling our private healthcare system in favor of a single payer universal model, and making sure we completely change where our current government funds go (funding more money to our military than the next 5 or whatever counties do combined) so that women who are forced to give birth can have the proper safety nets in place to raise their child.
  14. Yang's UBI also comes at the expensive of you forgoing getting on SNAP and other benefits if I understand correctly, which is why libertarians and the Kochs love this kind of shit. Color me skeptical that will not have an enormous downside when people mishandle their funds and suddenly can't depend on any other social support nets.
  15. HopkinsHorn sure as shit should be.
  16. If you're going to trash other southern states then you better be able to handle it. I grew up and live in Georgia and I can do nothing but agree that our state is fucking garbage for the most part.
  17. We're well past the Nazi Germany comparisons in this administration, but this sounds like some evil Nazi shit.
  18. Still wondering why Riley isn't getting much national coverage considering he has more homers and RBIs than Vlad Jr. with roughly one half as many ABs.
  19. Sounds good to me, let's get on a single payer universal healthcare that phases out private insurance (except maybe for cosmetic and elective care) completely in 5 years.
  20. Posted the insane rise in tuition graph before Troph, it's time to accept that a lot of us are demanding the richest country in the world take care of its citizens. We don't need a bunch of bullshit tax credits, we need actual structural reform.
  21. If any of you think our institutions are going to successfully prevent him from trying to jail someone like Pelosi, that is not a gamble we should be taking. It's so evidently clear that our institutions aren't doing the job we all thought they were supposed to unless something falls to a federal Judge that was appointed under Obama or prior administrations.
  22. She described herself as a capitalist, I'm aware of that, which is why I really am still leaning towards Bernie. She would still be one of the most left Presidents ever (which yes I'm aware of would be at most center-left in many other countries).
  23. I think it's fair to ask if Warren regrets this. However, to say she's deep down a conservative after attacking giant corporations and banks that have driven the GOPs obsession with deregulation the past however many decades is fucking stupid.
