  1. Any other roster spend 3x as much for offensive players compared to defense and also have both lines be average/bad? Nothing could be less shocking. It’s amazing he could be in football for 30+ years and still be clueless
  2. McConnell and the GOP had every opportunity after the failed coup attempt to bar that prick from ever holding office again but didn’t. If a president trying to violently stop Congress from certifying the election wasn’t enough for conviction by the Senate then literally nothing will be. It was the Sandy Hook moment but for impeachment. Once we let elementary school children get mowed down by assault weapons and failed to act, then we should just accept we will never do the right thing on the issue
  3. This is a full out attack on the government’s ability to do anything. Laws are words on paper- they have to be implemented and enforced by people. These attacks are intended to destroy our government’s ability to function. It’s sabotage and will be costly if not impossible to undo
  4. I will believe Elon will follow a court order when I see it. These haven’t stopped him yet
  5. This combined with the DOJ directive that they are the President’s attorneys is something I thought I’d never see in this country
  6. Counterpoint: https://www.vpm.org/news/2025-02-04/virginia-community-health-centers-close-federal-funding-grant-access
  7. Supposedly a 25 year old is writing back doors into our payment infrastructure. What could possibly go wrong
  8. 2 injunctions as to Elon’s stopping of approved funding. One applies to 22 states and the other was much broader. Neither seemed to have changed any behavior.
  9. There’s not going to be federal funding for education anymore. That’s what “leave it to the states” means
  10. the fucking Cato institute raising alarm
  11. Remember when Scooter Libby was prosecuted and convicted (and later had his sentence commuted) for leaking the identity of 1 CIA operative? I remember.
  12. You’re absolutely correct but the press has been lining up to pay Trump (personally) literal millions for the pleasure of not giving him unfavorable headlines.
  13. Even Nixon followed court orders. I guess we should just tell all the judges to go home then. We’ve got a king
  14. Aren’t there two injunctions in place? So we’re at the stage where the administration is ignoring the courts.
  15. Then pass a fucking law about it instead of this dictator bullshit.
  16. We’re so cooked. I honestly don’t think this country will recover from the damage from this administration and there’s absolutely no off ramp in sight. Rule of law, fucked. Ability to fight terrorists at home and abroad, fucked. Alienate allies and destabilize the economy, double fucked. US President pledging to support genocide.
  17. Just like we all voted for, right? Who feels safer?
  18. Ignore for a moment that these still aren’t buyouts and the atrocious framing of the headline as if it’s a new haircut and not permanent damage - something very bad is happening in this country. Elon Musk and Trump are going down Putin’s wish list and destroying this country from the inside
  19. https://www.techdirt.com/2025/02/04/two-plus-two-equals-four/ I think this article is a wordy, but I agree with the point. We need to all recognize the stakes of this moment.
  20. Certainly not the inspector general who has extensive reports on dollars spent in Ukraine
  21. Leavitt said on Fox that flights are taking migrants to Gitmo today.
  22. Obvious troll is obvious this morning. I’m out
  23. This is the most insane thing I’ve read this morning. They’re not industry targeted- just blanket on every single thing imported, right? And China hasn’t begun retaliating. Does anyone remember the last Trump trade war with China? Ag industry needed a massive bailout. And that had an end game in some trade deal ostensibly about protecting American IP - but where is the off ramp this time?
  24. Yeah amazing so many people are distracted by 200+ years of Constitutional order being steamrolled by an unelected billionaire. If GOP doesn’t like it- they’ve got both houses of Congress. Never mind the costs to privacy, national security and literal human lives. *waves hands* it’s just so unimportant
  25. Not unless he gets rid of Congress with the blessing of the Supreme Court. It’s like none of you watched the second half of Hamilton
