  1. All fair. But they are being compelled to shift to EVs which they are currently losing money on, and so doubling their labor costs right now is a real problem.
  2. Maybe the DNC is activating a plan to keep both Biden and Trump off the 2024 ballot.
  3. I appreciate your idealism but they are all crooks. To one extent or another.
  4. Also Shawn Fain was asked on CNBC if execs lowered their pay would he be satisfied and he said no. So it’s kinda separate issues.
  5. The OEMs have offered 17-20 percent, the UAW is asking for mid-30s. I’m not a union guy and Shawn Fain seems like a dirtbag, but this strike seems a little like the actors strike in some ways. Complaining about AI and EVs is like candle makers complaining about light bulbs.
  6. Did you think that impeaching Clinton for lying about a beej made sense?
  7. According to my Uber driver this just started yesterday, but instead of walking right outside and grabbing an Uber, it’s a 5-10 minute walk and then down an elevator/flight of stairs to a cacophony of screaming workers trying to get people matched up with their drivers. I might go back to renting cars. Anyone know if this is temporary or the new normal?
  8. My procrastination likely saved me. They started to mold in the bag so I chucked them. Back in the Shaggy days I might have done something stupid and had a story to share. Sucks getting old.

    Dallas | Steak

Knife in Plano. Nice enough place, friendly and knowledgeable bartenders, pedestrian ribeye. Nice sized cut but too lean so not very tender. Good apps though.
  10. It doesn’t measure up to CW or Rebels, and most of the characters look like they are cosplaying at Dragon Con, but that was a good turn from Hayden Christensen. Bring the rage, nerds.
  11. Our crowd of late-40s to 50 got smoked in our league this summer to teams that were almost always significantly older than us. People who looked like they could barely walk to the court were scorching pickleball players. The problem is our neighborhood is all newbies and we just play each other so we’re not really improving. I think we might need lessons.
  12. All the reviewers seem to rave about the Genesis. If you like the unusual styling probably worth a look.
  13. How do you figure? The lyrics say she left on a train. I assume you see that as a metaphor?
  14. LoG was good. “Pantera” was…good I guess not great. It sounds like Zakk Wylde playing Dime licks. Charlie was good. Phil was actually pretty good. Glad to check them off but wish I’d seen them back in the day.
  15. King Parrot is the first opener for Pantera. Not my speed but they are funny.
  16. I’m reminded of my favorite description of Josh Allen. On any given play, he looks like either a) he should be the mvp or b) he should be benched immediately.
  17. I’m currently in need of a car for my 17 year old (we’ve tried to make do with just tow cars and it’s not working out) as well as a replacement for my 11 year old 100K mile Audi which will need a $4K timing chain soon. I am over analyzing as usual. It looks like a decent used Japanese car with CarPlay (which I feel to be a game changer for not fucking around on your phone while driving) is going to cost $15K to $20K for the daughter. For me I’m looking at a twoish year old E450, and to get a truly loaded one (I like ALL the tech) that’s about $55K. The Audi is probably worth $8K (on top of the age and miles some asshole put a giant ding in the door a couple weeks ago, it’s not pretty). Not looking forward to the big expense, but I think I’m going to pay cash for the kid car and finance about half of my car. MB is offering 3.09% on late model used cars for 36 mos. Depreciation on German sedans is still pretty steep. I’m seeing E450s that stickered for $75K go for less than $55K with less than 20K miles and still under factory warranty. Starfield

This is a good tip. That rifle is great for taking down humans in a couple of shots. Much better than the Grendel which appears to shoot frozen peas as many shots as it takes to kill someone.
