A buddy of mine marshals at COTA. He just sent me a video showing no marshals in sight around the stadium complex during a hot track session of the GT World Challenge event.

And this. Loose banners on a live track.

Are they broadcasting on any TV stations or is it strictly streaming? Spa has begun and it is really awesome, at least the clips i see online.

Laguna Seca  was nice, beautiful weather, great restaurants. One of The JDC mechanics took our group of four into the garage and spent an hour explaining the intricacies of the 962...it was an amazing, insightful experience that really made the weekend. Thanks, Jeremy!

Oh, I'm pretty sure that Le Mans in on Motor Trend TV.

What a horrible racetrack.  It definitely doesn't deserve to be on the F1 schedule every year.  Parking lot races in Miami are much better.

Not true... It's listed on the Directv guide as "WEC endurance racing", all 24 hours of it.  Also, the WEC race @ CoTA will be shown on Motor Trend TV live.

No V10s? They're the best imho. With V12s very close behind.

i don't think there's any V10s at le mans this year

edit: that video is missing the gibson in the back of every P2 car but that engine doesn't sound all that great.

Seems as though the IMSA team is taking cues from the Indy folks.

The No. 6 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 has been disqualified from Wednesday evening's Le Mans 24 Hours qualifying session for failing to meet the minimum weight in post-qualifying technical inspection.

ETA: I have been a Penske fan going all the way back to Rick Mears but JFC, this is beyond stupid.

Does anyone know whether Andrew Marriott will do a late night walk through all the drunks this year? Or is he no longer part of the broadcast team? I can't find a full list of the commentators and reporters, nor can I figure out what Marriott is up to right now.

I sort of assume he's not, but would love to be wrong.

TK just said, "you never want to run out of toilet paper!" when talking about teams that accidentally removed 5-6 windshield tearoffs already.
This bug/windshield/tearoff situation is going to be significant in the dark.

Was wondering what happens if they run out. I guess they can apply more or swap windshield?

can't apply more and i think windshields are something that doesn't swap easily.

getting just the 3rd FCY of the race, to clear debris. just a minute. dry conditions are letting them just pour the laps in.

83 "privateer" Ferrari with a massive effort from Kubica takes it, followed by the 6 Porsche (first time in the podium for the 963) and the other 2 Ferraris. First time since 2018 that Toyota has missed the podium.

Inter Europol wins in P2 for the second time as the Panis car fell off after being handed a lead with a late drive through for the Inter Europol

feels like ACO missed on the BOP. maybe the 499P is just easier (for lack of a better word) to drive to 3:27 around le mans than everything else and so is much closer to the mythical perfect lap. but winning 3 times in a row with 3 cars in the top 4 seems unlikely if BOP is right. the 6 drove a penalty and trouble free race for 24 hours to get there (and ferrari pitted the 83 for fresh tires on its last stop, making it closer than needed).

cadillac needs to take a smidge of downforce off the car. being fast in the place where it's relatively difficult to pass isn't as good as being fast in the place it's relatively easy to pass.
