Income is better. I don’t give a shit if some Belgian lesbian studies PhD who pours coffee at Starbucks voted for Hillary over some McCombs Accounting major.

And realize income doesn’t even account for cost of living differences in the coasts versus red country.

Everybody funny...

thanks for killing this thread.

Dialogue attempted.  You fucking drain the life out of any conversation.

Sorry I'm not afraid.  Slightly concerned?  Of course.   Definitely not afraid.

Slorch'd!

The government will still be there to protect you.

Who's there to protect me from government?

As Ronald Reagan said, the scariest nine words in the world are "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

JFC man, let’s not play this game. It’s estimated that there are currently 12.5 million illegal immigrants in this country today. If 25% of them need to go to the county hospital annually, because they obviously don’t have privatized insurance, that wittles it down to 3.13 million people. For shits and giggles, let’s place the average ER care at $100.00, which hopefully we can agree is utter bullshit and a mere fraction of the actual cost. That alone rings up a bill of $312,130,000.  I’d argue that the number of visitors is higher and the actual cost is closer to $2,000 per ER visit that has to get paid from somewhere. Doctors don’t work for free, hospitals have to pay the light bill and medical supplies/medication aren’t charitable gifts. That’s conservatively $6 billion in healthcare costs alone passed on to the taxpayer.

Then add in items such as uninsured motorists, government subsidiaries, fuel rationing, food stamps and sending illegally gained funds to a foreign country instead of our economy for starters. I’m glad your janitor is able, willing and cheap. You’re a POS for hiring him to line your own pockets.

Why do you believe that none of them have privatized insurance?

I mean, I know you live in NY state, but you act like you have never been here.

And blah blah blah, sure I'm a piece of shit. You're the asshole wanting to send brown people away even though you're clearly living a pretty good life, unaffected by their presence.

Have you ever actually met an illegal immigrant? I know you have a mail order bride. We will call her quasi legal. Did you arrange illegal marriages for her friends? Did you actually love your wife when you brought her here? Its illegal if you didn't, you know.  Do you love her now? Does she love you?  Did you make her sign a prenup?  Long beach is tough for you if she's unhappy. Does she still look good after the kids?

And also, do you feel at home? Have you ever felt at home anywhere?

Really? You’re better than this.

1. I’m sure that some illegal immigrant somewhere has a privatized health plan...but c’mon. If we made a pie chart that would be a crumb on the crust, but you already know that. Someone has actually won the slots like the picture on the billboard for Choctaw Casino too.

2. Texas is estimated to have the 2nd highest population of undocumented immigrants. NY is #3, which is higher than AZ and NM who share a border with our neighbors to the South. It affects my life in both places as my cost of living is higher as a result. The higher the population the higher the cost is for goods and the more you have to pay to make up deficits of those not contributing their share. Supply and Demand and the Theory of Economics are taught in Business 101. I don’t go around asking for papers, but I’m sure that I’ve met some. I’ve already debunked the “brown people” claim. It’s not my fault that Mexico is the largest contributor and their people are mostly brown, which are completely separate ideals. My attitude towards illegals remains whether they are from Honduras, Romania or Australia. There is a process and it needs to be respected.

3. The mail order bride things is played out and not funny considering I’m 39 and we just celebrated 19 years of marriage. I think we may just pull through. She came here on her own accord having won a full scholarship for college. No, she did not sign a prenup to protect all the wealth I had accumulated as a 20 year old college student waiting tables when we got married. We are currently on par with each other on salary, which we both earned through hard work. Yes, she still looks good and has for quite some time seeing how our youngest will be 18 in a few months. She has been a citizen for 14 years now. Her mom has been a citizen for 12. Her dad was a legal immigrant on the path to citizenship before he passed. All of these statuses were done legally. In fact, we are trying to immigrate her sister and kids but have been denied 3X. Rather than have them sneak through a border, because the process is time consuming and costly, we will attempt to try again because we want to respect the law. It’s pretty presumptuous of you to assume that she is a mail order bride due to her nationality. Kind of like asking brown people for papers to prove citizenship, wouldn’t you say?

Not sure why you are resorting to personal attacks. If you want to debate the merits, we can. When you have an epiphany that you are wrong, simply accept it and move on. My family and status in the grand scheme of things is irrelevant to the debate.
