This team is capable of winning a title if they can stay healthy.

We are loaded.

Yep. A bunch of the ESPN WBB people amended their preseason final four picks and most now have us in the final four. We shouldn’t be too far from being a 1 seed in Crème’s bracketology

They overreacted to the team from last season because of injuries. That was an elite 8 caliber team last year if they were healthy and we return almost everyone from last year plus a top 5 FR.

Vic won't be happy with this 4th quarter.

Our issue in the 4th when we get a lead is we just start burning clock. Keep playing like you did in the first 3 quarters and run them off the court. We completely abandoned the press and started slowing down.

Just look who is coming off the bench.

Holle, Gaston, Faye, and Moore. These players could start on top 25 teams.

They’re good, but this is now the 5th game in a row Texas has been out scored in the 4th quarter. Can’t brush it off as being bad luck at this point.

Not sure it's lack of focus.

We just get a big lead and start slowing things down. This team is made to run and play in transition.

a lack of aggressiveness or killer instinct. But when you’re up 20 with 5 min, it’s easy to lose focus

I think the other issue is Vic seems to be experimenting with stuff in the 4th quarter when they have big leads.

Last night, they started the 4th quarter with Faye and Gaston playing together. That's a weird combo but with a big lead it's alright to experiment.

I've always been in favor of that when something is a blowout.  Coaches need to see how rotations play together, what works and what doesn't, because it is a long season and players get hurt, players get in foul trouble, etc. and you have to play chess late in games.  Vic now knows Gaston + Faye doesn't really work together as a combo.

By the way, we will likely start the season 13-0 since our last 2 non-conf games are UTRVG (Wednesday) and Jackson State (Dec 27)

That big Baylor game looms large on December 30, followed up a trip to Lubuttock, a trip to Morgantown, host TCU and then a trip to play @ KSU.  Woof.

You might want to avert the children's eyes for this game.
We may roll out the all knee brace team, hopefully Maul, Codio, Herron, Moore and Jak will get plenty of playing time.

I hope we have enough lollipops to go along with all of these ass whoopins.

We are #3 in NET precisely bc of all the ass whoopings.

Not the most challenging non-conf schedule (#11 UConn and #39 Arizona are our only good non-conf opponents so far) but our MOV is 38.1 ppg and our closest game being 12 point victory against UConn.

Vic about Taylor Jones:  "We will know tomorrow,
she'll be seen tomorrow, we're really hopeful she'll be back pretty quick, that's really all I have now on it. There's
not really anything else to talk about on it, but we're really hopeful this time tomorrow night
we'll have a real clear picture and hopefully it's a really quick picture."

Thankfully we are very deep in the post but Taylor is a huge part of our campaign this year. The roundball godz owe us an injury free season.
