If we beat KState on Sunday, we may find ourselves back in the Big12 race. Tall task, even without opposing Lee

We ain’t out of it, that’s for sure. Big 12 race is going to be a war

We were #4 in NET prior to last night so we will probably jump a spot or 2.

Our 3 losses include:

6 point loss to Baylor (no Harmon or Taylor)

3 point loss to K-State (no Harmon)

4 point loss to OU (no Harmon or Gaston)

This team is still really good but this season is going to be frustrating because of injuries. We would almost certainly be undefeated or a 1 loss team if healthy.

Sadly you play the hand that’s dealt.

I do wonder if we will start seeing less full court press + playing more zone to keep players fresher and out of foul trouble. Especially with a shorter bench.

I’d like to see how the zone works against OU and KSU. I guess we will see on Sunday. Not a bad time to try it out some more against a Lee-less KSU.

They also play @ISU on the 14th (thank god we don’t), @KU, against WV and ISU at home and @Tech.

We just need to keep taking care of business, hand KSU a second loss and see if they can drop 1-2 more

OU has @OSU, @ISU, Baylor, @WV, Texas, @KU

WV has @BYU, @Baylor, OU, @KSU, Baylor, OSU

I think it’s likely the Big 12 regular season winner will have 3 or 4 losses and could be a 2 or 3 way tie.

I think it has more to do with us not having the guards to defend on the perimeter without Harmon.

Our 2 "guards" right now are Booker who is more of a point forward and Gonzales who isn't all that athletic. We could not keep the Baylor guards in front of us in the 1st match up so Vic wisely adjusted with a zone.

With no Faye and Gaston only playing 8 minutes, zone also kept Jones out of foul trouble (2 fouls)

Having Faye back for KSU + Gaston available should relieve some pressure off Jones, but her being able to play 28 minutes without foul trouble is a huge win for us

Also big credit to Holle playing all 40 minutes and only committed 1 foul. Shaylee has a terrible game (0 points, 0-4 shooting, 4 fouls)

I love Vic praising Booker with comparison to another Texas #35...   KD 🤘

High praise indeed and she’s doing it all as a freshman. But she’s being mentored by Rori, acting as an extra coach, so it’s really beneficial. A second year Booker and fully healthy Harmon and Moore next year - watch out SEC

Juju nearly out scored #4 Stanford on her own tonight. Caitlin Clark has competition for NPOY

Half the USC team barely showed up. Box score looks like it was 2 on 5
