Might be   getting to tour their brewery off-hours next week in Carrolton.  It should be a nice diversion from that worky stuff.

I don't know if I'll ever be a true hopdhead, but I am enjoying IPAs to the point of buying their multipack today.  I never would have done this until about 6 months ago.

I’ve liked all of Lagunitas IPAs that I’ve tried

Australian Kiss, Turning Point Brewery, 8.7% Double Hazy

I love this beer, reminds me of the Other Half beers, nice and dry and crushable for a Double

This one has me interested… Local buy or available at the usual places?

Id assume its pretty easy to find at the big stores around DFW. I don’t know how well they are distro’d. I picked this up from my favorite bottle shop in McKinney.

Black Thunder black lager by Austin Beerworks. 5.3% abv. I really enjoy this seasonal, but it’d be a little better if we could get some cool weather to go with it

One of my favorites - thanks for the heads up it is available. I'll have to see if I can sneak away from parenting a newborn and go pick some up.

Closest thing to Primus that I've tasted, including the floaties, of which I am a fan.  At least i can find this stuff in Amarillo...Aventinus.jpg

Negged.

A couple of weeks ago my wife got excited and brought home a 4-pack of pumpkin tallies from someone or another.  I don't ever want to discourage her from buying and bringing me beer, so I opened a couple of them and poured them into glasses for us.  She took one sip, grimaced, put the glass down.  She waited 5 or 10 minutes, took another sip, and just shook her head.  "Nope."

I smiled and shrugged and said something like, "Well, they can't all be winners.  But you know what's always great in the fall?  Oktoberfest!"

A couple days later, there were multiple varieties in the fridge-- Live Oak Oaktoberfest, Haker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Ayinger Oktoberfest, and another one I can't recall.  She's a good woman.

Love Town Hall

I enjoyed all but one of the beers I had. Bartenders and I were laughing about the randomness of the crowd with Paul McCartney fans, Nebraska fans and Eagles fans all converging on downtown.

I take it you were at the 5 Points spot?  That is definitely a random assortment of humanity.
