We got the bigger dogs some seemingly indestructible toys, including the "Bison Horn" a/k/a the toy of controversy for the year.  Always a plus.  Last seen, Maeby was trying to bury it while Archie looked on confused.

So, my across the street neighbors have abandoned their house and left their dogs in the backyard.  One female pit/mix that is just insanely sweet, and a HUUUUGE German Shepherd almost pup (about 3 y/o) that is just beautiful and also so friendly.  Me and the neighbor lady (no pics she's nice you animals) have been feeding and watering them when we can, and Animal Control brings them a big bag of kibble when they visit.  I hate to think they will end up in county and destroyed.  I can't take them because that is theft and we're on the line with trespassing just feeding them.  Such a huge shitty situation.

I can't imagine just abandoning my dog.  Some days my dog is the only thing keeping me going.  I love big shepherds, and it wouldn't be theft.  It would be a rescue.

Is it a renter? Do you know who owns the home? If not, you can look it up on the county assessor’s website. You could likely work with a rescue to get permission from the owner to rescue the dogs.

ETA: People are shitheads, but good on you to look out for these animals.

They are considered property in Texas (i've been through this with animal control) and I can't take them.

OTOH if someone opened the fence and they got loose I could shelter them.  Everything is awful.
