  1. Past hour
  2. If that happened, Texas would be undefeated
  3. Yep, especially considering, everyone in the entire NCAA except MAYBE UGA wouldve lost the road opener to OSU. So we are getting all the negative and none of the benefit of scheduling them. Shouldve scheduled Texas State. Hopefully a lesson learned.
  4. And tying into the above, Russia simply can't sustain this, and even when we skip posting this stuff daily, this is happening every night now.
  5. Wouldn't OSU have to agree to that also? Would we have to buy them out if they say no? Also, don't think that the athletic department wants to jettison a top matchup in front a sold out DKR, on national television, with Gameday also in Austin a very likely possibility too.
  6. The point was that saying this is Denver at their peak is not close to reality.
  7. I wish my self destructive behavior let me make $30-50m so far in my career. Fuck man.
  8. As a guy who has employed people on the West Coast and in Texas, it is significantly harder to sue successfully here in Texas under his circumstances.
  9. That's utterly baffling to me.
  10. Having just watched Ken Burns' The American Revolution and having gone back and started watching his Vietnam series, there's definitely some comparisons to Ukraine to be made (a lot to be made to the Revolution series, even if it was about our founding, still some great comparisons to be made). As one of the historians on the Revolution series said, and as many other historians have said and several of us have mentioned the quote in this thread, Washington realized he didn't have to win, he just had to not lose. Britain was still heavily in debt from the Seven Years War, and with France and Spain entering, it went from them trying to take the North American colonies to them running the risk of losing a lot more than those colonies (including the Caribbean colonies, Canada, etc.) and the British public getting worn out. Similar in Vietnam - they didn't have to defeat us (and arguably couldn't in a stand-up fight with our air power), but they just had to outlast us (or rather the American public's support). Same for Ukraine. They don't have to win the major battles, but when Russia dips into their gold reserves, when they shut down exports because infrastructure was knocked offline or sanctions shut them down, when they have to leave oil & gas infrastructure because Ukraine keeps taking out air defenses elsewhere faster than they can manufacture them, that's Ukraine winning battles that aren't on the battlefield.
  11. OTOH, Cincy gets the ball back, and did not even bother to try a forward pass.
  12. Yeah. Tennessee over Vandy in Knoxville is very doable. LSU win at OU Sat afternoon would be nearly on par with 2001 OK State over ou (also a 2:30 kickoff the Saturday afternoon after T-Day in Norman) that back doored us in to the Big 12 CCG that year. sucks that it takes us having the same record as two teams we beat before we can jump them but here we are
  13. We've got 11 years of a sample size. Outside of a couple playoff seeding changes they have only dropped 2014 TCU and 2023 FSU that i could find. Both of those are outliers with the first being the first playoff and the second FSU losing their qb.
  14. Bruins are fucking awful.
  15. So, we’d essentially be getting the kind of preferential treatment that Notre Dame gets on an annual basis and no one bats an eye at?
  16. Done going back and forth. We disagree. It’s fine. Acknowledged your response. You put time into it. Ok.
  17. Exactly why playing a team like Ohio State in the preseason is playoff suicide. We need to cancel the game for next year. We would be in with a win without that garbage on the schedule.
  18. I mean, that is by far the correct move.
  19. Yeah but style points for the PC?
  20. That was dumb by byu, just go down and knee it out
  21. 5-1 following the Flawduh loss.
  22. BYU just went for two up 12 with 52secs left. Lmao.
  23. my guess is what is going to happen is if you can limit to 2 losses you have a very good chance if you are an SEC team. realistically you are playing for 10 spots, and given the unbalanced schedules with superconferences, anymore than 2 you are basically out.
