Why would they advocate such a thing? It's anathema to them. -

Ignoring the effects of centuries of racial discrimination and preferential treatment. -
He’s probably injured.

As is the appointment process as a whole.

The reality is that the judiciary is an arm of the Republican party. At least the highest and most powerful court that settles disputes is completely captured

Someone is either showing their lack of knowledge of Longhorn lore, or their youth and inexperience 😉

High school classmate passed away Friday night or early Saturday morning. Kidney cancer. She had been battling a while. She was a beautiful person inside and out and smart and funny and liked by everyone. And she was strong and didn’t mope around about what was coming all the way to the end. Fuck cancer in the goat ass.

For real, my FIL used to say that his "daddy was a Democrat back when they were good". When I pointed out that his daddy's party change happened when the Civil Rights Act passed, he stopped being so proud to say that. Completely oblivious and never thought about that aspect but repeated it for years -

Wife was returning from the west coast on Friday and was old just before they were to board that they were delayed. Hours later they were canceled. She finally got back yesterday around 5pm. -

I'd love to know their solutions for alleviating the effects of centuries of racial discrimination and preferential treatment. -
The election mechanisms are the hardest part. The Senate should be devalued like Lords. Or maybe just unicameral. But the notion underlying Article III is an independent judiciary, which I think, along with other separation of powers/checks and balances, is a good thing. But the respective powers need to be better delineated.

Why would they? Charlie Kirk said the Civil Rights Act was a mistake. It’s not exactly a novel thought among conservatives. -

Have the day you voted for, shitbirds https://finance.yahoo.com/news/once-generation-economic-crisis-rural-164404261.html A survey released by the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) on Wednesday showed that 46% believe the U.S. is on the brink of a farm crisis, and another 33% said maybe. Meanwhile, about two-thirds said they are more concerned about their financial situation compared to a year ago, with 58% postponing equipment purchases, 38% reducing fertilizer applications and 22% looking for more off-farm income. “These findings point to a once-in-a-generation problem for the agricultural economy,” said NCGA Chief Economist Krista Swanson said in a statement. “The survey findings suggest that this crisis could have a long reach, affecting every area of the economy, as farmers are less likely to make purchases and will certainly make budget cuts that could affect their local communities.” The bleak survey results mirrored similarly downbeat readings in the Purdue University-CME Group Ag Economy Barometer Index, which fell 10 points in August to 125. A subindex on expectations for the future dropped 16 points to 123, the lowest since last September. That’s as crop prices have plunged from their 2022 peak, while production costs remain near record highs.
