I know we in Alabama are at least Top Ten and could be uncontested Most Fucked Up if we try, but I don't want any preliminary celebrations that make us lose focus.

I mean, it's Murderer's Row out there. We had Roy Moore as our trump card, but he's slipping away. Don't kid yourself that Illinois, Louisiana, Texas, Mizzibbi, Florida, New Jersey, and who knows who hasn't noticed and is gunning for us.

Hell, even boring-ass Georgia is going retro lately. I expect their governor's race to feature some Lester Maddox ax-handles any day now.

OK, I changed my mind. We got it sewn up. Governor-Mistress Becky now working at Former-Governor-Dermatologist Dr. Dr. Bentley's medical office:

Rebekah Caldwell Mason, the former advisor turned love interest of Robert Bentley, now works for his Tuscaloosa medical practice, the former Alabama governor confirmed in a deposition.

The information was part of a June deposition related to a civil suit filed by Spencer Collier, the former head of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Details of the deposition can be seen here.

Under questioning from attorneys, Bentley confirmed Mason works as the office manager for his Tuscaloosa-based medical practice, Dermatology Care of Alabama. Bentley said Mason works 9 a.m.-5 p.m. four days a week and 9 a.m.-noon on Friday, when the practice closes early. She is paid $5,000 a month, or $60,000 a year, he told attorneys.

Bentley opened the dermatology practice after resigning in April 2017 as part of a plea deal related to campaign finance and ethics violations in connection to his relationship with Mason, who has served as his campaign communications director and then as an advisor to the governor.

During the deposition, Bentley told attorneys he and Mason "didn't have what a lot of people think we had."

"Now, did I really care about her? Did I really love her? I did, and she did me, and we still do. It's a very close affectionate friendship, so that's how I describe it," he said.

Mason is not listed among the staff members on the practice's webpage nor is she included in staff photos on its Facebook page.

Rumors of a romantic relationship between Bentley and Mason swirled after Dianne Bentley, the governor's wife of 50 years, filed for divorce in 2015. Later, an audio tape recorded by Mrs. Bentley revealed the governor discussing kissing Mason and touching her breasts.

Rebekah Mason, who lives in Tuscaloosa, resigned her position in 2016. Her husband, Jon Mason, who earned $91,400 a year as director of the governor's SERVE Alabama Office of Faith-Based and Volunteer Services, lost his job after Bentley resigned and Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey was sworn in as his replacement.

Jon Mason's LinkedIn page lists him as a real estate agent with True North Real Estate/Real Property Specialists of Tuscaloosa. Rebekah Mason's LinkedIn page lists her as the principal of RCM Communications, a consulting firm.

Bentley had a dermatology practice in Tuscaloosa before becoming governor and maintained his medical license. His plea deal prevents him from seeking political office in the future.

Troy King just lost his bid to become AG again. The last time Troy King was in office, he was famous for failing to prosecute the bootleg "bingo" (in name only) places that were springing up.

When Roy Moore was a judge, he respected the anti-gambling laws.

I guess.

This time, Roy Moore endorsed Troy King. Said he sent out 50,000 flyers to his supporters. Troy lost anyway, but the question is, King's almost broke. Roy seems to be broke. Where is Moore getting $ to gin up and deliver 50,000 flyers?

Lawd, Lawd, Lawd.

After we elected Doug Jones, I was really proud to have two really great senators in he and Shelby, even if I disagree with Shelby on a lot, he came correct and did the right thing regarding Roy Moore.

Then he spent the 4th of July sucking Putin’s cock in Russia.

Sigh......

And with the way things are, I’m dying to see what new whack-a-doo candidates crawl up from the Alabama red clay....

I told y’all I can’t tell the story - only a handful of people know what happened and I’ve posted enough personal info here that she would know who I was immediately.

Not going to lie, in this day and age of doxxing and people using what you say on the internet to go after you in real life, I’m not too keen to see what that feels like.

Trust me. She’s not nice. I’m very glad she lost. Go get a real job and quit suckling at the taxpayers tit, Twinkle.

Failed Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore is suing for defamation, claiming that campaign ads that ran during the Alabama US Senate special race last year damaged his reputation.

The suit jointly filed with his wife, Kayla Moore, claims that a Democratic-aligned super PAC ran "false, misleading" TV and digital ads against him and "intentionally or recklessly failed to confirm the accuracy" of them.
Among the defendants the complaint names is Highway 31, a political action committee that the Senate Majority PAC, the major Democratic super PAC focused on Senate races, funneled money to while backing Democrat Doug Jones, who ultimately won the race.
The suit alleges that Highway 31 ran a false ad stating that Moore had been banned from the Gadsden Mall for soliciting sex from young girls when he was deputy district attorney.

"Despite knowing that the content was false or in reckless disregard thereof each one of (the defendants) did in fact run advertisements that contained false and defaming material," the complaint reads.
Moore also alleges that the group ignored statements by people who worked for security and managed the mall at the time refuting that Moore had been banned from the mall.
According to the suit, the Moores suffered damage to their reputations and Roy Moore was brought into "public contempt" because of the ads. The suit also says Roy and Kayla Moore "suffered financial damages in the form of lost wages and opportunities" and Roy Moore's likelihood of holding future political office "has been damaged."
The Moores are seeking an unspecified amount of damages.
CNN has reached out to the Senate Majority PAC for comment.
During the 2017 campaign, Moore was accused by several women of pursuing relationships with them when they were teenagers, and in some cases, of molestation and sexual assault. Moore repeatedly denied all the allegations.
Moore and his wife filed a lawsuit in April against three of the women who made accusations against him, calling the allegations part of a "political conspiracy."

CNN's Danielle Hackett contributed to this report.

If Roy spends $1000 to get his lawyer to mumble his innocence on-camera, and Kayla then opens donation letters containing $1050, the Judge Moore Persecution Factory has turned another profit.

And most importantly....lawyers is getting PAID. Warms my heart. Stupid and unreasonable people are insurance that guarantees that the practice of law will never die.

If you took away all the names that came from Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama, Native or otherwise, most of Oklahoma and about half of Texas would have to find new road signs.

IIRC, the Alabama are a spin-off of Choctaws, kind of like Walloons to Frenchie-French. I briefly knew how to count to ten in it-- I had a wild-hair project to learn to count to ten in every language that existed in 1600 from the Chattahoochee River (West Georgia) down to Mexico City, if a man were to walk it.

Lots of the Native languages do interesting things with multiple of 5. I was rocking steady until I got to the Mississippi River where every other village was refugees from somewhere 1,000 miles up the way with completely different sounding words.

If anybody wants to take up the search for my remains in the Lost City of Z, here's what you would have used to buy beer in the Ft. Benning PX back before Ft. Benning existed.

Roy Moore will never win his lawsuit against Sacha Baron Cohen.

Seriously, this genius (Go watch the best Movie ever made.. Hugo.. and tell me he isn't a genius) has been at this game FOR A LONG TIME. Borat, Ali G, Bruno, now this. As best as I can find, its only worked once. He settled with Mr. Aita who I think was a more private citizen and accused somehow of being a terrorist. That's it. 1 case. In all the years he's been doing that. His lawyers have this shit figured out, or else at least 1 other case would have worked its way all the way to some cash. You signed the shit, it aint his fault you didn't read it. And the people on the show.. they should know better (stupid or liar) than to sign it without reading or having a lawyer read it.

Do Sacha Baron Cohen's Targets Have a Shot at Winning a Lawsuit? (Guest Column)

Quote

The first legal obstacle that tripped up Cohen's interviewees was their own signatures. Before filming, most of the plaintiffs signed legal releases entitled "Standard Consent Agreement" or something similar. In those contracts, the interviewee agreed that he or she "waives, and agrees not to bring at any time in the future, any claims against the Producer … or anyone associated with the Film, that include assertions of" every conceivable cause of action that Cohen's attorneys could come up with. So when the litigants sued Cohen and his cohorts, they were immediately confronted with the fact that they had agreed in writing not to do so.

Moore doesn't win by winning. Moore wins by being seen to strive against godless secularism, and then he gets his victory in the form of contributions from that circle of people.

If Cohen completely crushes him publicly, Moore gets more advertising, and more Grammaw Money.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Moore and Cohen weren't working together on this. I doubt it, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Moore's moves are kind of like the Baltimore Colts kicking a meaningless field goal to cover the spread.
