  8. Slice on the long bias into about 1/4" thickness. Marinate in this in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours: Juice of 1 lemon 2TBS agave syrup 3TBS olive oil 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper Cook on a hot grill until just past al dente. You can season with more s&p, seasoned salt, Tony Chachere's, etc. while on the grill if you want more of a kick.
  9. That would make the perfect avatar pic for Wulaw, indeed.
  10. So many questions about what happened here.
  11. Pretty sure my Golden Retriever would hide behind me if she ever saw a cow. Peek around my legs with a WTF is that thing look on her face.

  18. Yeah, I planted tomatoes and peppers last weekend. Had a freeze last night. I covered them but one of the jalapeno plants was not looking good this morning when I uncovered.
  19. I was told there would be no math.
  20. You and Jerseyman are almost Eskimo brothers.
  21. Been looking at charcoal grills for a couple of months now. I had a 18" WSM that I could quasi-rig as a grill but gave it to a buddy for his mountain cabin. Upgraded to a 22" WSM and like it OK. A LOT bigger than the 18, though. Harder to move around, take the drum off, etc. I had about decided on a Weber Kettle and quasi-talked myself into the Performer, but $439! Snooping around and stumbled on PK Grills. My folks had one of these they bought in the 60s that lasted for years sitting out in the rain without a cover. $369, plus it looks like it would be easier to configure for reverse searing steaks, etc. than a kettle. Plus, the nostalgia of my late parents having one. I believe Aaron Franklin is a fan. Anybody have one of them?
  22. Feel free to start your own country, with our blessings.
