  1. I love this discussion. Real football discussion. The problem, of course, is the problem with most attempts at statistical analysis of football: The sample sizes are too small to be meaningful. (Even in a Mike Leach's Wet Dream of a game where each player gets 100 snaps per game, we rarely look at all 100 snaps, and just one out of those can and will have an outsized impact on the results.) But here, 49 vs 36 attempts is... it just ain't nothin'. Better than what you'd get for a WR (or a lockdown CB that nobody ever bothers throwing at, because his guy's never open), but still barely worth the effort. You're not wrong at all. Just that nobody knows shit in this "discussion" as it were.
  2. it took way way way too long to get The Police mentioned on this thread I mean Sting was literally the King Of (Pain) sad lyrics with happy music.
  3. Tell you what... one of the things I love about Firefox is that the extensions you install on your PC are the same ones you get on mobile. Bitwarden, ublock origin, etc
  4. Well anyway, on the odd chance any of you dickheads actually want to talk football, here's Sark's PC from today. Seems to me that Sark is struggling to contain his excitement.
  5. ... on purpose, then?
  6. My days of not taking Helo seriously are certainly coming to a middle.
  7. In death, a member of Project Surly has a name. His name is Derka Derka. His name is Derka Derka. His name is Derka Derka. His name is Derka Derka. His name is Derka Derka.
  8. note that Filoni, unlike whoever the fuck did the sequel trilogy, actually talks to Lucas about his ideas so it's not like Filoni is going off the reservation with these ideas
  9. Bitwarden. Seconded what Bob said about Lastpass -- don't use it. Just no.

But in all other ways, inferior. Just an excuse for the rat pack to be paid to be together on a movie set. But yeah. Fantastic ending.
  11. Even if it's obvious, due process is a real thing. We have it for a reason. And in this case, we have to be very very careful to show that we're going through all the right steps in the right way, because even one tiny misstep will give the bastards all the political ammo in the world.
  12. And what you saw isn't a crime until a court says it is. That's what y'all seem to not understand. In your mind, he's guilty, and you're playing judge, jury, and executioner. But we don't do these things that way here and for very good reasons. And if you even give the appearance of doing so, you hand-deliver to Trump everything he wants. You're trying to make this simpler than it really is and very conveniently forgetting some very important things. And by doing so, you are being the very authoritarians you are accusing Trump of being. We don't get to stop playing by the rules just because they stop. Otherwise, we're hypocrites, full of shit, and deserve to lose.
  13. Have you really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
  14. Wait. Are we for or against cancer? IP is Internet Protocol. It's how computers talk to each other all around the world. IP Address is your computer's address. It's 4 numbers between 0-255. You'll note that's only 4 billion possible addresses, when there's definitely more devices than that in the world. So to allow more computers to talk, we have Private Networks. That little box that your internet company uses to connect you to the internet creates a private network -- you can have a bunch of devices in your house, each has its own address, but they all show the same IP Address to the rest of the world when they connect outside of that. So all the devices in your house show the same IP Address to Surly when they connect to it, and that box (the "router") your internet bozos gave you knows which device to send traffic to. [Nerds: Yes, I know about IPv6. We're not going there today. Neither is the rest of the world LOL] Now VPN is Virtual Private Network. It's like the private network in your house, but it does some funky things to make it look like your computer is actually in Sweden or the Bahamas or even someplace really obscure like Canada. When you connect to e.g. Surlyhorns.com from a VPN, the IP looks different from the one that's at your house. @JFKFC? Ooooh, that guy. Yeah I don't know what his problem is.
