You have people. Other people say he's leaving for money. Other people say he's leaving because he won't be the featured WR because of Cam Coleman. I'd say let's wait till more comes out before assuming there's rot in the program.
You don't know that he isn't leaving for money. That's the assumption because he's a lunch pail type (read white player). The truth is they're all mercenaries now. Maybe he didn't like how Sark or the WR coach yelled at him yesterday for dropping passes. Jumping into the portal barely 24 hours after the bowl speaks to me as a rash decision.
Offense should never be an issue for Texas Tech or Joey Maguire. That's like Alabama not having a good running back. Your identity was forged for decades on being a great offensive team. I joke around about the loss today because it's fun to poke the slorch bear but it's ridiculous that Tech could only have that shitty guy as their QB. Oregon is not a team that should manhandle Tech on offense.
All we can do is focus on the guys who want to be here as the rest is out of our control. I think it's silly to leave a team with a QB like Arch for the great unknown of a perpetual under .500 team out west that no one ever watches but maybe I'm just the asshole here who doesn't get this new world or why leaving a guy like Arch is a smart thing because you're not getting paid enough as a soon to be 2nd year WR who was getting a fuckton of passes sent your way this year.
Yeah but it's another instance of having to watch a Disney+ show to make a post Endgame character relevant. Feels like the audience for that has moved on.
No. The Big 12 is highly winnable for Tech every year now that Texas and OU are gone. Your main competition is BYU and Utah. Maybe TCU but that era seems to be slipping away for them. Didn't Tech spend 50 million all told on their roster? Isn't that well above what everyone else did? Hey, hats off it Campbell did that but I hope 50 million for a Big 12 title and 0 points in the playoff was worth it. There's always next year.
mdleast and I were joking about the hit on the Michigan player yesterday and how 30 years prior, we'd be watching an ESPN licensed VHS with that as one of "the NCAA's biggest hits".
Nah, not really. No one really thought Bama should be there and OU was a known fraud. Tech only had one stumble in a mediocre Big 12. This was an embarrassment against a team they were built to beat. Indiana may win the whole thing. I doubt many think Oregon will.
How you know Arch finally has it is look at how he responded to the pressure on that 60 yard TD run. Early to mid season Arch gets sacked. He identified the pressure quickly, stepped up and then saw the clear path and he was gone. VY had that. Enjoy this while we can watch it boys.
