  1. Covid restrictions. Many testing centers shut down.
  2. The last few years of test optional admissions has changed the game and applications were way up at most of the top 50/100 schools. I am sure some will go back to requiring it. My oldest is a senior and was auto admit to UT. But his first choice was Miami and he got in. They had 50k applications. He is thrilled.
  3. I was in downtown Chapel Hill last night watching the game and in the aftermath on Franklin Street. It was electric before and during the game and pure happy insanity after. It will be a core memory for me. I hope they win tomorrow but nothing will beat the feeling of downing Duke and Coach K for the UNC fans.
  4. Jada is an emotionally abusive narcissist and once Will realized Jada couldn't take the joke (narcissists cannot stand being laughed at) he realized he needed to do something or she would blame him forever, especially since he was laughing at first.
  5. Please stop name-dropping and Cloak Rooming in this thread. Thank you.
  6. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/03/us-oil-prices-top-90-a-barrel-for-the-first-time-since-2014.html
  7. Running and winning again in 2024 will keep him and his family out of prison and will bring an end to most investigations and even the ones it doesn't won't matter because the law won't matter because it won't be enforced. So I am sure that is a factor for him.
  8. Unless he dies, Trump will win. He won't win the popular vote. He may not even win the electoral college. But he will end up winning it before January 20, 2025.
  9. I can't find an appointment anywhere for the next few weeks. Where are you guys going to get boosted? Any place doing walk ins? We tried walkin at Walgreens for 2nd shot and they said we had to book it via the app sitting there in the store (but there are no appts to book now.)
  10. I can't get over that there are multiple professional hitmen with companies who are former military. And why did he need 3 of them?
  11. A few years ago in Midland a homeowner shot and killed a police officer who entered his home after a false security alarm. He was charged with murder and just acquitted today. That is a non-guilty verdict I can get behind in a castle doctrine case. https://www.newswest9.com/article/news/crime/trial-david-wilson-midland-police-officer-nathan-heidelberg/513-1e34dfd5-86ab-4384-898f-921bc8103f64 The one this thread is about however, I cannot at this point.
  12. Did he actually say this? And we can argue that taking the gun away when being threatened with one (including a warning shot) is self defense as well.
  13. Those actions do not justify lethal violence - whether via gun, stabbing, or slamming someone over the head with a rock.
  14. It sounds like they identified the kid(s) and they are not at school.
  15. Can we leave the sexist and insulting comments about the judge out of it? She didn't do anything wrong here and in fact is trying to protect her kids from their murderous dad. She is not the crazy exwife. The crazy ex is Christina.
  16. They are divorced. The judge has filed to keep their kids from him. She doesn't support her ex in this in any way.
  17. No - that was the wife's kid. I know it's very confusing.
  18. The home where it happened belongs to the shooter's parents.
  19. It happened the first week of Nov. It's only getting attention now because the family of the victim is speaking out, and because the name of the shooter was finally revealed in court docs when his now ex-wife filed a counter suit in the divorce.
  20. This family is neighbors with someone close to me and they know them pretty well. They said the guy has been a gun nut ever since they have known him.
